Yup that's Dimebag's death date. It didn't only affect Metalheads. It got to everyone in the music world, because of the way he died. It's something selfish and barbaric and should never happen again.

Metalheads will know the date. People who like good music won't, though. Dimebag just annoys me. And his tone is s**t, too. (:

While I never cared for Dimebag, or pantera for that matter (Cowboys from Hell and Walk are good though) I still respect him for what he did to music... even if it was just popularize the whammy bar just that much more/add a little southern rock flavor to metal.
RIP.
He still isn't one of the best guitarists out there, and anyone who says he is doesn't know real guitarists.

Dimebag was a great guitar player. He could do some really really badass shredding (more than he showed with Pantera) and his phrasing and vibrato were simply badass. His tone was totally solid for how he played. Anyways, he wasn't the best ever, but no need to talk s**t on him now since he's gone. The important thing was his strong spirit and that he had a heart and soul in his guitar playing.
If you claim to be a rock guitar player then you can definitely learn a thing or two from Dimebag, rather than blindly feeding your own ego.

Dime was our brother, and he still is, you really need dont need to be in this guild if u disrespect his life and his legacy. but what do u expect from an ugly troll rolleyes R.I.P Dime
