A soft black nose twitched curiously, the long dark ears flicking to and fro as Kisun picked her way ever so slowly through the tall grass. Lots of interesting things to do and see around here, surely there were. She hadn’t been here in a long while so she wasn't certain anymore. But there was always something wherever she was. So naturally there would be something here too!
For instance, she might find a butterfly in one of these flowers. Pausing, the hare sniffed at the blooms with some degree of interest, sampling a leaf here and there out of idle curiosity to the taste more than hunger. Butterfly tag was a game she was quite fond of after all. But she didn't see any butterflies in these flowers. Not the least bit upset by this, she turned her attention elsewhere.
Kisun was seldom disappointed. Life was now, and now was just grand. The late afternoon sun was still warm against the earth, a scattering of clouds passed shadows over the ground and had been fun to chase for a little while. But then she'd wound up by this watering hole, and the tree shade got in the way of some of the cloud shade. But that was alright. She'd enjoyed a nice drink and a bit of splashing before going off to find something else to do. Life was what it was. Worrying about it didn’t change anything anyway. Might as well have fun, right?
Right.

Cirdan plopped near the edge of the watering hole, his face sinking into the water. The hybrid cub dangled his paws in the water as well, wiggling them back and forth. After several moments, a sigh escaped him, causing bubbles to rise up and burst on the watering hole's surface. He wished a crocodile would burst out of the hole and try to eat him. That would be dangerous and exciting. The cub stayed in that position for a while, only rising his head to breathe once in a while. It took him that long to realize something: the fish in the watering hole must have been stupid. There was no other explanation for why they didn't try and nibble on his blue paws. He had been wiggling them like worms and everything. Some animals were just no fun.
Tiny feet hopped across the moist earth on the other side of the watering hole, causing small squishing sounds. Cirdan pushed himself away from the water's edge and shook his head, spraying water everywhere. He sniffed the air, his ears folding back against his head. He smelled flowers, mud, and rabbit. Excitement tingled through his paws. He dove into the tall grasses beside the watering hole, his pink-dipped tail waving in the air behind him, and quickly stalked close enough to see the animal padding through the flowers. It paused, its nose sniffing a flower delicately. Its black ears swiveled as it moved from the flower and meandered its way closer to the watering hole. It was rather cute, actually.
A warm hum of approval reverberated from his throat as he watched the hare. He would have fun catching his prey.

Kisun batted playfully at one of the flowers she passed, watching as it bobbed back and forth for a moment, before dropping back to all fours as she moved along. Maybe she might go for a swim. It was quite warm after all. But she'd barely just dried from playing in the water before she went off to play with the flowers and sadly lacking butterflies. Maybe she could find out of there was a patch of tickle-grass around here. Sometimes the grass grew just the right length to tickle her tummy if she walked over it all crouched like she was being sneaky.
And speaking of sneaky, who was making all that noise?
Her ears twitched, swiveling back as she caught a low purring hum. Feline cubs. Or probably just one in this case. She'd heard him splashing around only a few moments ago, and now he was humming and walking up behind her. Well, she didn't need to glance over her shoulder to guess what he thought he was doing. She could hunt things better than he could!
Oooh, now that would be fun!
Lazily, as though she had all the time in the world, she nosed at a flower here and there as she meandered her way towards a rather tall clump of grass. Casually, she hopped into it, ears pricked for any and all sounds of clumsy pursuit. But once she was out of sight, the hare crouched low, her muddy white paws passing quickly and quietly over the ground as she carefully avoided squishy muddy patches and crunchy twigs. Her ears were laid carefully against her back, though the twitched slightly as she tried to pinpoint the cub's location.
Wouldn't he be in for a surprise when the hare he seemed to be under the impression he was stalking pounced on him! Oh, it was so very hard not to give herself away with a giggle at the idea...
