Vila had spent a good amount of time in the pack lands. Enough time for her babies to mature inside her womb, and now it was almost time for her to have them. She knew deep down there was no way she could be a mother to these pups. There was no way she could stay here, but Vila wanted her pups to grow up and have a happy life.
Strangely, Vila didn't feel sad about the plans she was about to propose. Xx'a ran a good pack with happy pups running around. It was a good place to have a pup grow up.
So she waited at the mouth of the den she'd been loaned. She wouldn't be sad, Vila couldn't be.

Xx'ami-da had watched over his pack from his perch - it had been a while since Vila had become pregnant with his pup, and a bit since he found a mate - a mate that wasn't the bright green female carrying his pups.
His heart was heavy, knowing that his mate wouldn't bear his first pups, but that would have to wait. His body told him the lime female would birth soon - he needed to seek her out. A frown crossed his maw, but he quickly dispelled the frown to make his way off the peak.
He shook slightly, would this be fine, would it be right? The angry comments marked through his head, and he felt uilty, but he adored the idea of having pups running about, pups of his own.
He sighed, conflicting emotions tearing out at his brain - he needed to seek Uzu or Damu for advice...

Peca was having an average day, she had been making her way around the pride, meeting various members, talking to other members of the council, she felt she had been pretty productive today.
As she made her way through the pack her mind wondered to the male hyena she had met and fallen in love with. She couldn't help but smile at the though of him, Xx'a was a sweet soul, a fair amount older then Peca was, but age didn't matter they were in love. Peca had no idea about the other hyena that had been staying in the pack, somehow the two had never crossed paths, she really had no idea what her day was going to become.

Vila continued to sit in her den. She knew that Xx'a would sense that it was close to time. The female sighed and curled up. Her body ached.

Red eyes sparkled as he came across the familiar lime female, he bowed his head to her and walked closer. "Good Morning, Vila," he spoke softly, head down. He could sense she was close to her time, and he was slightly on edge.
He frowned, and sat close, trying to offer her comfort. Despite not being her mate, she was carrying his pups, and she was in pain for them. "Are you alright? You're so close," he whispered in a breath, but he was sure she could hear him.

Peca had been wondering with no real aim in mind. She had weaved her way through the dens, noting a small pup that she had met a few days earlier, she was proud that she was remembering more and more faces now.
As she turned and walked towards an area of dens that she hadn't really spent a lot of time in she froze. There was her Xx'a and he was standing, apparently doting down on another hyena... a hyena that was clearly pregnant. Peca felt her heart come up into her throught, tears in her eyes. She couldn't make sense of it, it couldn't be.

Vila lifted her head and greeted Xx'a with a small smile. It was very close to time.
"I wasn't sure if you'd remember," She put her head down between her paws and closed her eyes. She was carrying alot of babies , Vila could feel it.
"There's something we need to talk about.."

Xx'a could only frown. "I'm sorry I wasn't here sooner..." He said quietly, a frown on his maw, he gazed at her a gave a small sigh. He looked at her curiously, but she wasn't even looking at him.
So he raised his head to look towards the lake. The direction Peca was standing, and he suddenly understood. He squeezed his eyes shut and could feel his heart clench. "I understand," he told her.
"Peca," he called out, letting the wind carry his voice towards his interest, chest painfully twisting. How could he forget something so very important?

Peca saw Xx'a's eyes fall on her... she wasnt sure what she should do. Then she heard his voice say her name, her heart throbbed, she loved the way his voice said her name. She felt frozen in her spot.
She didn't know what to do next, should she go to him? He had called her but she was with him... perhaps Peca had been confused about their relationship. She felt her feet moving underneathe herself, and despite her thoughts she was getting closer to the two other hyenas, her eyes full of pain and confussion, her body tense.

Vila only gave a small glance to the other hyena. She would have smiled but the pain was to much. This was awkward. Pregnant, in pain and confusion. Vila had never seen this other female, but she could only guess that this was Xx'as sister or mate. The two didn't really look related though.
"You two..." She lifted her head, her eyes lidded sleepily. Vila was tired from all of this.

Xx'a frowned in confusion, he was so lost! So worried! Over everything. Was Vila going to be alright, was Peca going to be alright with this. The ache in his chest was trong, and he just didn't know what to do.
His shoulders slumped in defeat, but this wasn't about him right now. "Are you alright?" He asked the pregnany female with a frown, worrying over her, with one ear trained on Peca.
And he could feel himself dreading this - almost.

Peca had made it to the to the side of the two other hyenas. She wasn't sure what she should say, was this hyena pregnant with X'xa's cubs? She cleared her throat.
"Uh hello." she said quietly not sure that she was saying the right things. "I am Peca" she said now to the other female hyena, "I don't think I have had the pleasure of meeting you."
She looked down at the laying female and up into the eyes of her mate, she was fairly certain based on her mates upset expression that her fears were true, she was pregnant with his cubs... she was confused how could this be. Did it mean that she had been confused about the whole courting process... did he not love her as much as she loved him?

Vila could tell there was something in the air. Something didn't feel right between the three. The hyena could only laugh, half from madness and half from tension.
"You two!" She laughed again, " I don't love him," Vila admitted, "This isn't a romance if thats what you're thinking." She ignored Xx'a and stared at Peca. They'd never met but Vila was sure by the look of the other she was upset by the sight.
"I'm assuming you must be his sister or mate. If you are his sister I fear that you must not approve of a stray like my self. If you are his mate, then you are taking this quite well. " She shook her head, "This isn't about love or approval though. This is for your pack." Her strength escaped her and her head collapsed.
"There is something I must ask of you two...." Her voice came after a few minutes of resting her head and heavy breathing.

Xx`a's gaze fell on Peca and he watched her through the thick mane that fell before his eyes. He saw her through the red mass, but he didn't speak again to her. This stomach simply rolled, and his chest felt heavy.
It was for the pack though, he reminded himself - for the pack.
It didn't make him feel any better, as he practically gave his body and seed to someone other then his mate. But he kept firm.
He slid his red eyes back to the pregnant female, and listened to her speak, only slightly nodding with her statement. 'I don't love him.' And that was true.
He wanted focused his attention on what the vibrantly colored female would say - but it was divided, divided between Vila, Peca, and his own soul.

"I'm not his sister." Peca manged to mumbe. She felt odd sitting amongst them, she obviously was a little out of the loop. When the female said that she didn't love Xx'a it made Peca's heart lighten a bit. She kept her eyes glued on her love.
"What do you need us to do?" She said this quitely, she wasn't sure if she wanted to help this hyena. She wasn't angry at all but sad. She just wanted to know what was going on. She removed her eyes from Xx'a for just a moment to look down at the other hyena.
"Please explain."
