Hello. biggrin

Now you are on a similar system to the UK, yes? Let me tell you something from my perspective, and my experience.

I am from the UK and proud of it. Our healthcare system (the NHS) is NOT a bad system. I wouldn't say this if I didn't mean it. It saved my life twice when I was under a decade old, and I am happy to say I support it all the way.

Please don't get caught up in propoganda against our system. Without it I would have died, and if I had been on the US system I wouldn't have managed.

Just because it's labeled as "free" (paid into) health care, doesn't mean they are all the SAME health care though. Canadian health care is good but France has way better health care. American health care has all sorts of rules and regulations that turn a good idea into a lousy one. An expense cap is given for each year, for how much American's and their families can get for "free" before being s**t out of luck.

Honestly the only real problem I have with it, is that now they will have a reason to enforce national ID cards (mark of the beast or damn close to it), because the Americans wont want to pay for the illegal immigrant's health care services.

Yes, ID cards are a worry. Our present Prime Minister seems to be all for them if he is re-elected and Labour continue, which is why I'm firmly backing Conservative and David Cameron, who I believe is against them and for tougher immigration law.

If you check the Lindsey Williams DVD I recommend in the video section it gives a clear idea of what the "HealthCare Bill" seeks to accomplish.

The main goal of the Illuminati for the American people in the next 3 years is to completely bankrupt the middle class, and

"Make them so poor they won't be able to fight back."

This "HealthCare Bill" already has companies looking to move production and manufacturing jobs overseas so that some of the last manufacturing industry we have is further destroyed.

Edit 3-27-2010 10:05 PM Pacific Time

My dad showed me this article of some of the "Easter Eggs" in the "HealtchCare Bill"

http://www.infowars.com/obama-just-got-his-private-army/
There's the link and here's a bit of what was in the damn bill;
be shocked and appalled.

Subtitle C–Increasing the Supply of the Health Care Workforce

Sec. 5201. Federally supported student loan funds.

Sec. 5202. Nursing student loan program.

Sec. 5203. Health care workforce loan repayment programs.

Sec. 5204. Public health workforce recruitment and retention programs.

Sec. 5205. Allied health workforce recruitment and retention programs.

Sec. 5206. Grants for State and local programs.

Sec. 5207. Funding for National Health Service Corps.

Sec. 5208. Nurse-managed health clinics.

Sec. 5209. Elimination of cap on commissioned corps.

Sec. 5210. Establishing a Ready Reserve Corps.

Like the title said "Obama Just Got His Private Army"
which he famously called for on July 2, 2008 in a speech in Colorado Springs

It's either pay for health care or get arrested. Isn't that fun?

yea so now it's going to be illegal to not have health care, and you get fined if you don't have it.... this is so ******** up.
PostPosted: Wed Mar 31, 2010 8:41 pm

Alright, about this health care thing... I am by no means the most informed individual, but my problem with this whole deal the entire time has been that no one knows what the ******** is actually in it, not even the people voting on it.

I'm all for universal healthcare and all that good s**t, even if they're going to have to raise taxes some to pay for it. We're the only developed country without it, people (like me) would rather suffer than go to the doctor/hospital because they can't afford it, and it ultimately boils down to greed.

That said, I really would have liked to have had some say in the whole thing. I'm really not pleased about the "pay for insurance or get fined" thing, because I can't really afford either, honestly. However, if I go to jail for not paying the fine then the state is going to pick up the tab for my medical care anyway, so that's something.

Another thing that pisses me off is that the only resistance the right wingers can muster to get the public riled up is about abortion, cost, and stifling free market. Don't get me wrong, I don't like Republicans, right-wingers, or other assorted talk radio asshats. I listen for the lulz. But the only thing that pisses me off more than a Republican right-winger is a liberal Democrat that has no grasp on reality. I'm a registered Democrat (mostly so I can have some say in local primaries) but I'm seriously considering changing my party affiliation to Independent.

Health care reform has just been too much of a ******** with too much obfuscation on both sides for me to feel comfortable with it. Really though, there's nothing I can do about it now (or before it was passed, for that matter). Representative democracy is a farce.

The only thing that I can say about this is it's just another way for the government's fat cats to sit on their lazy asses and do nothing but collect tax dollars from hard working individuals. This bill, frankly, pisses me the hell off. How is this supposed to help anything?! And those idiots who are all for it are gonna crap their pants when they become informed of all the perks.

Aren't we already required to have state IDs? What would be bad about National IDs?

I think she's talking about the potential national IDs.

Although I thought we already had something like that; it's called a passport. Having a national version of a driver's license just seems redundant.
