I buy them off shutterstock.com or other royalty free stock websites. Otherwise stocks off deviantart.com where i ask permission from the artist. ALWAYS remember to ask permission from the artist before you use the stock on your design and post them in several websites, unless stated in the rules that there is no credits needed!

Here you will find a list and some directorys to tutorials.
There are many different tutorials out there, so if one of them doesn't exactly help you, you can try a different one and see if it helps.
NOTE :: (PS) and SAI indicate the programs that the tutorial is for, if a program is used. PS means Adobe Photoshop. SAI is Paint Tool SAI.
Also, if you are looking for program specific tutorials, just look under the PROGRAM SPECIFIC TUTORIALS for some directorys to tutorials specific to each program.

I'm glad that helped. Try out alignments too! Text is VERY important. I really, really give so much important to text in all my designs, because imma huge typography addict.
Having the text tool selected, on the upper bar, beside the size,font,style,etc..the button to the rightGUESS WHAT? made a screenshot because i suck at explaining =D
ALIGNMENT. It's AWESOME.SCREENSHOT, CLICKIE ME
See all my red marks? select your text tool and press the button i circled with red ink on top. Now SELECT YOUR TEXT and then see the red marks on the bottom right, PLAY with the numbers, you'll know exactly what i mean!

See the difference? =Dblacvamp BLACYou know, Jello? My text in photoshop used to look pixelated for an entire month and i thought it was a problem with photoshop, turns out i just turned off an important option.
EDIT : SCREENSHOT CLICKIE ME!
When you wanna add text, click the text tool and you know on the top bar where you choose font then size then there would be yet another scroll bar giving you options 'none' 'sharp' 'crisp' 'bold' and so on. Choose anything but 'none'.. it gives text its best look!
