(( This be a private RP between quietsnooze and azuredreams and the characters they choose to drag along, but mostly Lafe and Ink. PH33R. That is all. ))
It had taken some doing, but Lafe had managed to get directions to the Legend Headquarters from the Concord residence. It was that small fact that he had a destination that aided him in escaping the household and out into the chill December weather. He was tired of the attention, however, that seemed to focus on him now that he had given up his fox form for the time being. Not that he couldn't change back into it, but it felt okay again in his own skin.
Wren was probably going to be seriously angry with him for sneaking off, especially considering his age. He could've care less. ( Never mind the fact there was, actually, someone stalking him, a shadow, but he was well hidden and unnoticed by the fox ). Grumbling under his breath, ears twitching at the slightest noise, Lafe made his way up the front steps of the Headquarters.
A place where he had meet others supposedly like him -- where he had met ...
Pushing that thought from his mind, tail twitching irritably, he headed on inside the building, face buried into his scarf briefly to fight off a sudden cold wind that blew through the area.

Ink has turned into somewhat of a packrat over the time he has already spent at the Headquarters. One prize for his efforts is a fuzzy blanket, stolen out of a spare bedroom. Curled messily up in it, one of the corners falling atop his nose, he stakes out the empty house with a restless boredom from the arm of one of the couches.
No one to amuse him. Suds has grown far too mobile for him to "play" with anymore. [Although, this has its perks, particularly concerning retrieving better tasting foods..]
Huffing forcefully, he wiggles free a tiny hand. The blanket corner tickles his nose, as if begging to be targetted as an annoyance. He bats at it until his fingers finally hit it strongly enough to move it, though it only nudges slightly. Something remains unsettled in him, as if he feels almost ridiculous to be thrown into this situation. Even if the woman has a complete a**.. anything has to be better than this type of torture.

White tail still swishing back and forth in mild agitation, Lafe closes the door abruptly behind him to try and keep some of the cold out. At least the inside of the Headquarters is somewhat warm. He lets out a huff of breath, fingers moving slowly to fidget with one of the straps of the courier bag he has on his side ( since his tail is twitching far too much for him to fidget with that as much as he's likely too once he's sitting ).
Now that Lafe's here, he's uncertain what exactly he was going to do. He hadn't thought much beyond 'running away' from the house for a bit and it didn't look like there was anyone here. Walking in further, towards couches that looked somewhat familiar, bright silver-blue eyes took everything in. There's something at the edge of his senses that tells him there is someone here -- he's just not close enough yet to see them.
Until his eyes finally focused on the messy bundle on the couch arm. His ear twitched and his eyebrows raised slightly, his expression perfectly saying what he might have said with words.
Huh? What's that?

Noises! Immediately, Ink freezes up, unsteady head bobbling to face the doorway. Suds..? His eyesight has developed moreso than his arrival at the Headquarters, but someone as far as Lafe remains fuzzy to him. Nevertheless, his companion is not that tall, nor those colours.
A small growl raises in his throat, though it's not half as scary as the baby would like it to be. Where he once wanted to free his face from the blanket, he now scrambles to conceal himself from this unfamiliar intruder.
"Mpbbtlbuh!" is his muffled exclamation. His feeble efforts make him look like a blanket ninja, the fuzzy material covering some of his white-blonde hair as well as the bottom half of his face.

It was an odd mixture of feelings that suddenly washed over Lafe once he was close enough to the couch and his curiousity only rises because of it. He doesn't even have the decency to pretend to be scared by the growl made by the bundle, but he doesn't bother to hide the fact he's curious either.
Slipping forward, tail now swishing back and forth at a more sedate pace, his ears c**k backwards as he starts to crouch down. He doesn't have to crouch down so much, but at least it puts him on eye level with the bundle beast on the arm of the couch.
He makes a small noise in the back of his throat, more fox-like than actually human and showing his true nature briefly. It was a more curious sort of noise, his hand actually stopping from it's unconscious fidgeting and held as if ... he was contemplating rather or not to poke the bundle.
But part of him reasoned that'd be a bad idea.

Bright yellow eyes widen as Lafe approaches, quickly narrowing once he's made visible to the baby bundle. He blinks rapidly while trying to keep up with the movements - swishing tail, cocking ears, the source of the noise, and finally the hand. His eyes melt from yellow to gold to a vibrant orange in a matter of seconds.
"Fppblt!!" he tries again to warn that he's a dangerous little fellow, and will likely attack if provoked. Unfortunately for him, his arms are bound and he has no teeth to speak of, so his assumption of being a threat is more of an imagination pumped with false hopes.

Well. That was interesting. The eye color changing. Lafe's head tilts in a way that is more fox like than human, his ears once more perking up at the noises that Ink makes. He can tell that the baby is trying to be intimidating, but it's not working on him. Not when his curiousity is at the forefront.
His hand, however, doesn't actually move to touch him or anything. Instead he slowly pulls it back and watches Ink. His tail swishes back and forth slowly, as if he's trying to contemplate what to do next. "... who're you?" he finally speaks in a quiet, soft voice, though he doesn't expect an answer, he's merely trying to make it obvious he's not out to get the baby.
Yet, at least. The future was all ways questionable.

Ink presses his light-coloured eyebrows together in confusion and a touch of frustration. What does that mean, the sounds the.. thing just made? He doesn't like being confused, especially in seemingly simple tasks like this one.
With a soft grunt, the bundle squirms as he tries to free his arms. Just as they start to loosen, a particular sound, this time unfortunately a familiar one, rings out in the room.
"Bwreeeee!!" The noise is shrill and forcefully loud, almost conceivable as a frightened sound. Ink sinks in his blankets, already knowing the embarassment that is to come. He hasn't yet determined if Lafe is a foe or - well, is there anything else? - or someone who isn't pink and sugary. Maybe he doesn't deserve to be subjected to his companion and her annoying quirks.
Suds stands frozen in the doorway, her buggy eyes even wider than usual. Her tiny paws cover her mouth in a human-like manner, portraying obvious surprise. What was this thing doing with her Ink..?!

Lafe's ears twitched and he abruptly swirled around on a foot as he came to his feet, a hand going against his courier bag to keep it in place against him, and stared at Suds. The brief confusion he felt from Ink is ignored in favor of what's appeared in the doorway. His tail slows to a halt and his hand falls from his courier bag as there's a brief flash of remembrance in his mind.
... hadn't he chased this thing once? Wrinkling up his nose, he looked over his shoulder towards Ink. There was something about these two -- they belonged together.
Head turning to look back at Suds, he goes back to crouching down, and makes a low noise in the back of his throat. It's still more curious than anything else and he briefly turns his head back towards Ink, as if anticipating some reaction.

Ink scrunches up his face in immediate dislike. Otherwise, he's still and unreadable.
Suds toddles closer with caution, stopping on her hind legs once or twice to rise up like a rabbit or hamster does when unsure of a situation. Traits can be seen in her that might resemble either, but she is without a doubt unlike any regular creature.
"Brrrh," she chirrups carefully, a few feet away from Lafe. She cocks her head to the side in an overexaggerated way, nearly knocking herself off balanced in the process. Yellowed eyes looking over Lafe, Ink's companion tries her best to decide whether to come any closer. Her memory doesn't serve her well in that she cannot remember him in the slightest from before.

Not that she would remember him. Not like this, at least. He had been a fox then, hiding away in that form instead of this one. Lafe's ears twitch at each noise made, his face mostly blank except for his eyes which give away the fact he's trying to figure things out.
The one with changing eyes doesn't like the small one, but they belong together ...
It was rather odd to Lafe. If something went together, then why would you not like it? Lafe's tail twitched from side to side and he watched Suds curiously. She seemed like a rabbit one moment and a lizard the next and ... Well, it was something different entirely.
Finally, he just made a noise in the back of his throat. More animal than human still. It was, mostly, for show that he wasn't out to harm anyone. His attention shifted back to Ink, however, eyes studying him intently. Never mind wondering if he knew what Suds was exactly?
