Dude you are a moron.....Jason didn't leave, James and Lars kicked him out because they didn't want him playing in Metallica while having his own band, Echobrain on the side. They said that in Some Kind of Monster if you've seen which obviously you either didn't or you hardly paid attention to it. And then later when Echobrain failed to take off he was offered to play bass in Voivod.
