Ravi wandered through the trees, shuddering as snowflakes fell around him. No matter how far he went, it seemed like the blasted snow cloud was determined to follow him. Blasted, frozen rain…

When the first flake landed on Selene's nose, she giggled, not minding the cold one bit. After all, it wasn't like she couldn't find her way back home if it got to be too much. Maybe she would even let Daddy Eclipse dress her up all nice and warm. She and her sisters could make snowponies! Oh, that sounded like fun!

The sound of a giggle drew Ravi's attention to the pale pony that glimmered through the trees. For a moment, he froze, uncertain what to do. He hadn't been paying attention to where he was going, but that wasn't all that unusual. He'd been looking for his twin, Sola. At least, that was what he told himself. Whoever was beyond the trees wasn't his twin, that much was certain.

Oblivious to her audience, Selene danced in the snow, admiring the way the scant moonlight danced off the puffy white crystals. This was the first winter she could really remember. When they were merely babies, she and her sisters had been more focused on tormenting Daddy Eclipse and playing with Daddy Raenef. She wondered, for a moment, if her sisters would find the snow as beautiful as she did. She twirled and danced, giggling happily.

What a bizzare pony. Ravi slunk forward, hugging the ground and staying to the shadows as best he could. He felt a bit odd spying on her, but he couldn't help himself. He hated snow with a passion, but watching her seeming so happy… it almost made him want to see just what was so great. Maybe it wasn't the snow. Maybe there was something else. He tilted his head, listening for music and heard none. With a small frown, he took another step forward and cringed as a twig snapped under his hoof.

The sound snapped Selene out of her happy reverie. She spun to face the intruder of her perky little world. At first she could see nothing, just the dark trees. Squaring her shoulders and lifting her chin, she called out, "Who's there?"

Ravi hesitated for a moment, debating his options. Could he run? Should he run? Would there be any point? She didn't look dangerous. In fact, she was actually very pretty… but no, he shook his head. It wouldn't be the first time he had stumbled upon a pretty pony that was a lot more dangerous than she seemed.

"I know you're there," Selene chided when silence stretched on without any hint of who was spying on her. "You might as well come out. If you don't, I'll have to go looking for you, and you won't like that."

That… didn't sound at all promising. Though, it did perk Ravi's curiosity. Without leaving his hiding place, he asked, "Why not?"

Selene blinked. She hadn't thought whoever it was would actually take her threat seriously. She wasn't exactly the smartest of her sisters, and she certainly wasn't the scariest. If anything, she'd often been described as taking after Daddy Raenef. Fairly harmless and cute. "What?"

"I did?" Selene asked, cocking her head slightly. A few flakes caught in her raven hair and glittered like diamonds.
