I don't know if my mum would have liked it. She'd probably have liked it to begin with but as it's got more religious, not so much.
My Dad however is the biggest Dean fanboy, it's crazy. He makes my slightly nutty Dean girl tendencies seem perfectly normal. He tried to get us an Impala for when we go to San Diego next year. He's convinced Dean is based on him. He watched the full four seasons in about a month - only took me two weeks - and would walk into the house, point at the TV and go, "NOW." rather than saying hello. There are so many other things but I don't remember them off the top of my head.
But yeah, I find a lot of older people enjoy it. I mean, I'm probably about the right demographic for it - 16 - 25 and female. But it transcends all ages.
And that's awesome!
Here we go, Tweets about my dad, RE: SPN:
- Reasons my Dad hates Sam Winchester: "He got to cop a feel of Amy Acker!"
- My dad's last words after season one of SPN, "THEY BROKE THE IMPALA!"
- Aw, bless my dad. "Can we watch more Supernatural? I'm worried about the car."
- So my dad and I didn't just both cry our eyes out during In My Time Of Dying. Honest.
- My dad just walked into the front room after getting in from work, pointed at the TV and went "DEAN!" as his new way of demanding SPN.
- My dad's an a**. I'm crying at Heart and he just turns around and says, "Well, once you've shagged a werewolf, nothing else will cut it."
- My dad's response to the end of season three. "... Bugger." That's it, his hero goes to hell and his only word is "Bugger."
- Just watched Yellow Fever with the Dean fanboy (Dad). His explanation for Dean's girly scream? "It was a ninja cat."

He was, indeed! And I suppose he's right in a way. Sam's only hooked up with evil chicks since then. And y'know that one who could have been a succubus but wasn't.

We do have choices. I know that my mom likes it too, but she doesn't often get the opportunity to watch. Hell, she had started watching it before I did.
...I choose to go down swingin'.

My mom was curious and was like "what are you watching?"
and I was all like, "Supernatural....I just started it wanna watch with me?"
and she was all like, "Sure, *shrug*, why not."
And we both watched it and LOVED IT. Then my step dad starts to watch it with us around the middle of the second season and now HE LOVES IT.
And now we all watch it when it's new on the tv. Sometime it's a tad awkward, like when the boys get it on with some girls, but other than that, I think it's cool that parents like the show too.
And Vee, you'll like this, my mom liked Papa Winchester A LOT. He was her favorite. When he died I looked over on the couch and she was crying;
"Mom, are you crying about John?"
"No Manda, i'm crying because.....shuddup.....*giggle/cry*"
lolz.

My mom and I watch it together. She's the one who introduced me and we're equally obsessed. She's also a Jensen fangirl and used to watch him on TV even before Supernatural.

I don't see a problem with parents liking the show, and I"m pretty sure that if either of my parents understood English, especially my Dad he would have liked it. Not sure if my Mom would, I think it'd be too scary for her.

My mom always watches it with me. We've both watched from the beginning. Her favorite is Dean. She doesn't like Sam, maybe because of his long hair and emoness, lol. I always sit by her chair in the floor when we watch it. My dad doesn't watch it but he does know that I really want a '67 Chevy Impala and every time he's in the room while it's on and it shows the metallicar, he'll be like, oh there it is your '67 chevy impala. haha.

I dunno how my Mum feels about it. I mean, she's gotten me the DVDs, and watched one or two episodes with me, but I don't think she's into it.
My Father gives mixed signals~ but I'm pretty sure he hates it. He's always nitpicking the religious side of it... Once, we were talking about cult classics, how he thinks they're bad shows/movies that are oddly loved, and how I think they're awesomely misunderstood... and he goes, "Nah bad. Like that show you watch. Supernatural." Dx Daddddyyyyy~
But he also bought me season 4 for Christmas so. I'm not sure what to think. xD"

I tried to get my sister into it this season, but she didn't know what was going on, even though I explained everything she needed to know. Other than that, my mom used to watch it sometimes. I don't know why she stopped.
