AIM LOG: Syrius Lionwing & _ p a o cx

Mizer had done it yet again. Slipped away from the watchful eye of his mother and step father. Course, he wasn't headed to his usual spot today. No, it wasn't a secret anymore. The little blue cheetah was on the search for a new training area now. Some place new and secret. Some place he wouldn't be found out. Some place that was his.

Though, he wasn't doing a very good job in his search. For one, he was out in the open.

Another fine day. Quiet, peaceful, slightly cloudy with a pleasant breeze coming in from the north. All in all it put Kat it an okay mood.. better than normal anyway. The past month or so was very good to the wandering female, and it really helped keep her grouchy, condescending side at bay. Currently, Kat slowly walked toward what looked to be a shelter of some sort. A few rocks, some shrubbery and a tiny little pond, it was just right for perhaps an adult her size. She wasn't in any hurry to get there since there was no one else in sight, so Kat took her time. The leopardess eyed her bad paw, wondering why it was throbbing less and less as the days passed. It wasn't healing, that was for sure, but it didn't hurt as much as it used. Maybe she was just getting used to walking so much?

Whatever the reason, it didn't matter to her. She was grateful for the lack of pain. With time she made it to the little oasis of sorts, immediately making her way toward the source of water to have a drink. The cool liquid was refreshing, as her throat had been parched from all the walking she'd done. Once she'd had her fill she approached the rocks and lay down in what little shade they provided.

The cheetah cub continued his search, which seemed to be in vain. There didn't seem to be any good spot worth his training skills. No where as good as the last spot at least. Mizer sighed.

It seemed all hope was lost. The cub was just about to head back home and call the whole thing off, when a bird cried out over head. He turned his head the direction the noise had come from and saw a few bushes. Curious, the little cub wandered over toward them.

Kat currently had her head down and her eyes closed, just about ready to take a well deserved nap, when she caught a scent of another off the passing breeze. A light scent, no doubt, but it was still there. Normally she wouldn't pay it any mind, but this time she would be rather vulnerable should whoever was approaching be hostile. She forced herself to lift up her head and take a look around, immediately passing a tiny blot of...someone, not too far off. She couldn't tell what it was, but it really was awfully small to be too much of a concern. Her shoulders relaxed and she lowered her head once more, but she kept her eyes on the approaching creature, curiosity getting the better of her.

Besides, she had to make sure that whoever it was that was passing didn't try to get rid of her. She found the spot first, at least for today, and she was staying until after she'd had a good nap.

Mizer marched through the brush and bushes with out much concern of who saw him or heard him coming. The cub didnt care, he thought him self as a bad a** of some kind.

He paid no mind to the snoozing leopardess, or errr, was she asleep? Mizer didn't care as he pushed his way out of the bushes. A branch tripped him though and caused him to fall, and roll, over toward the leopardess.

"WHAAAA!" He cried as he rolled sonic style toward her.

Lucky for the little cub Kat was awake and full alert. She managed to stop him safely with her good leg before he did any damage to the rest of her. With a gruff sigh she sat up, grabbing the cheetah by the collar and lifting him up to her eye level. "Watch it," she started, brows furrowed in slight irritation. She would never admit to anyone that she thought this little thing was a major threat only minutes ago. "Next time it could be someone willing to have you for dinner or something, you never know." At that she dropped him safely on the ground. "What's your name?"

The cub was dizzy when he was lifted and as a result, almost threw up. He quickly gathered him self when he landed and glared up at the leopard.

"Who wants to know?" He sneered. Mizer was not the most pleasant of cubs to be around. In fact he could be a down right drag. "What are you doing here anyway? " The cub kept his mismatched glaring eyes focused on the female.

Kat whapped him on the head when he replied the way he did, though not too hard. She...wasn't the most patient, or even gentle, with cubs. Shoot, she had little tolerance even for adults. "Just answer my question cub," she said with a bit of a growl. "You ought to give anybody older than you even the slightest bit of respect. Your parents ought to have taught that to you." She gave him another whap. "As for why I'm here, well I'm old enough to be on my own, so it's none of your concern." Kat glared at the little cheetah, already upset with the species.

The cheetah hadn't expected the twaps. For some reason it came to a surprise.

"Hey you old broad!" He growled , and covered his head dipping low to the ground. "Stop that! "

He looked rather silly low to the ground with his head covered.

"Haven't you learned you don't hit heroes? For crying out loud woman.." The cheetah snorted in anger.

Old broad? Hero? Kat smirked, lowering her whapping paw to the ground and lying on her stomach. She watched, amused, as the cub tried to defend himself, claiming to be a hero yet trying to stay low to the ground with his head covered for fear of getting hit again. "I'll disregard those comments if you apologize. Deal?" She really wasn't in any mood to discipline someone, especially if they thought they were a hero of some kind. "Anyway, you still haven't answered my question. What's your name?"

Mizer continued to lay low to the ground. He wasn't sure how he felt about this leopardess. After a short moment he finally sat up and hmphed.

"Mizer," He said it fast and quick as if he didn't care. "Im sorry," Again it wasn't heart felt, but Mizer was a brat. Him saying sorry at all was a long shot most of the time.

"You . Whats your name broad?"

No matter the way he answered her questions, so long as he answered. She nodded, happy with how that ended. "I'm Kat," she replied quickly to his question, trying to show him an example of how he ought to have answered. With the way he was acting though, she doubted he would bother to make the connection. "That's Kat with a 'k', not a 'c' as in feline. Don't call me 'broad' again, it's slightly degrading." She sighed, knowing that her nap pretty much just went out the window as soon as this cub rolled her way. "So why are you out here alone? What happened to your parents?"

The cub gave her a single nod, "Okay Kat," He had heard the word broad some where before and had been using it ever since.

"My parents are close by.. Im just out looking for a new training area. Some where like this.." He looked around, "Its secluded and fits me just fine ."

Kat made an 'o' shape with her mouth as he explained what he'd been doing. "I see," she started after a moment of thought. "Well.. I'd been thinking of using this spot as a place to take a nap," and she paused, eyeing the little cub. Rude as he was, she believed that cubs needed to be trained at a young age, and she admired his desire to become stronger. It was a trait that she wished she possessed, but the fates seemed to have frowned on her at the time of her birth. Still, no sense in letting this opportunity slip past the cub. It'd take him a while longer to find another suitable place to train after all, and if he died while on the hunt it'd be on her conscience. Yes - she had a conscience too. So with a sigh the leopardess stood up. "Oh well, I'll find another spot to rest. Maybe somewhere where another cub like you won't try and bowl me down."

Mizer gave her a nod, she seemed to understand how important training was. Specially for him, after all. Mizer was the hero that would save the day. Failure wasn't an acceptable end to his story, only getting stronger and training more.

"You're smart Kat," He smiled. It was rare for Mizer to ever off handedly pay a compliment to some one. Very rare indeed. Usually he insulted.

"Maybe I'll show you a trick or two after Im done." He nodded, " You can nap here, but just stay out of my way," Mizer smiled. He'd gotten his way.

She considered his offer, and after a few seconds nodded in acceptance. "Agreed," she said after taking a comfortable position in the shade once again. "Lucky for you I'm a heavy sleeper when I'm comfy, otherwise you might head home with a few more lumps on that little head of yours after you're finished." At that the leopardess lowered her head, closed her eyes, and quickly fell asleep.

The cheetah gave her a nod. The thwaps to the head didn't leave bumps, but they hadn't been pleasant. All and all, Mizer decided he actually liked this female.

"Agreed," He grunted and started his training on a poor unaware stick. He rabbit kicked like no cub ever rabbit kicked before. It was a fierce battle.
