 Morning had come to early for the bright orange dog. Her back was sore a bit from sleeping wrong and being up before the sun. She pulled a small ragged sack from her den - the den she aquired as an adult, close to her parents but far enough for it not to matter to much.
She was, after all, still a part of the clan.
This morning, though, or rather, some time in the night, Maziwa had decided to go on a small excursion to the north - to the Peke Na to visit her friend. An excursion to learn, and to hopefully find herself a mate.
But that was besides the point. The lithe, but muscular female pulled the small ill-contructed sack, made from some cloth she had found on one of her trips to the outer lands.
She used this sack to collect things and store small things she'd like to keep with her. With that, and a desisive nod, the bright orange girl started to move out of the lands at about mid-morning, whispering a small good-bye to her mother and sleeping father, she trotted away from the lands.

Chumani was up early now too. He just had gotten ungrounded for an event involving a crocodile. Not fun, not cool just no! Oh right, the croc had been pretty bad too.
Now he was out and about the packs territory. Chumani was on patrol making sure everything was in order. He wanted to be a guard one day after all, best to start early. Sides, he was getting bigger , growing like a little weed. The pup had almost doubled in size while he had been grounded. Growth spurts were an odd thing.
But that was beside the point.
An orange figure made him freeze. Who was up this early? Chumani didn't wait to find out, he rushed on over toward the shape.

Red eyes sparkled, looking about for anything before she made her way too far, and eyes landed on a white and blue shape. The Mlezi's - Janja's - pup, it had to be. The coloration was unique, now she just needed a name.
The orange female didn't know the names of all of the pups, just a few she had seen about after hunting. She didn't bring much to Janja's family though, since her mate was her fellow Mwindaji.
A hesitated step almost made the female trip, but she paused, wondering if the pup was actually coming for her.

"HAULT!" The pup barked. A playfulness was mixed in his voice making the words all the more not serious. It also probably didn't help that Chumani's tail was wagging.
"HAULT!" He yipped again at the orange figure. "HAULT!" Oh this was fun. He felt like a real guard as he rushed toward the female.
"In the name of Janja, what are you doing out so far little lady?" Obviously the orange female wasn't so little as she towered over the guard a great deal. Still, Chumani was having a blast.

Maziwa gave a giggle, the pup was cute, she gave him that. She shifted on her white-toed paws and stopped in her slow gait. She shook her head a moment before replying. "I'm going on a trip outside the packlands. Going to see a friend up north," she told the young pup.
It was true - and he'd be a gaurd some day, and probably a fine one to boot. The playful training, she knew, would help him in the future, should he need it.
"And what are you doing out here, little Mlinzi?"

The pup wiggled his nose being called by his clans name and not his first name. Honestly, he had no clue what this females clan was. She certianly wasn't Mlinzi.
"Scouting course," He nodded, "Your going on a trip?" His ears popped up. "All by your self!? " The pup looked shocked, "That just won't do that just won't do."
Chumani paced back and forth for a moment. He couldn't let her leave on her own. He heard that the rogue lands wasn't always the most friendly of places. This female couldn't go on her way alone. Thats when the idea came to him.
"I'll go with you as an escort, " He announced and wagged his tail. "Chumani at your service," He gave a bow of his head, his tail still wagging.

"Err, yes," Maziwa balanched a bit. "I normally do," She told the pup, watching him pace back and forth. Njozi, this pup amused her, though. She trained her eyes on the pup though.
"Escort?" She questioned lightly, frowning. "I don't know... we'll have to ask your mother, Chumani." The brightly colored female gave a small frown. This would set her a bit back, but she didn't really mind taking the pup with her on a trip.
But they needed to ask Janja - she couldn't just take the pup out of the lands without consent. She even told her own mother where she was going.
"Ah, I'm called Janja, but the way. One of the two Mwindaji right now."

Chumani frowned when she stated he'd need his mothers permission. Janja was a great mother, but Chumani worried a bit that she wouldn't allow him to escort her.
"N-no need," He shook his head, his tail now between his legs as he thought of all the ways a mother could say no. 'You'll shoot your eye out,' for what ever reason was mixed in with all the ways a mother could say no.
Crap, he was in a pickle.

Ziwa gave a small smile. She never asked her mother's permission to wander when she was little - mostly because her mother understood the insatiable need to travel. "We have to, though. It wouldn't do for me to get into trouble for taking you out of the lands."
She tilted her head for a moment, only imagining what an angry mother would do if her pup got hurt under Ziwa's care. She shuddered at the thought.
"You never know until you ask, little Mlinzi. Where's your bravery?" She taunted lightly. She had to get him to ask somehow...

Chumani's stance toughened as his bravery was questioned, "I'm brave," He whined trying to get his point across that he was indeed brave.
"Come on, follow me," He yipped and scampered off toward the Mlinzi den area. He sped like a little white blue bullet.

Ziwa followed the pup to the den of Janja - she had never been to her den before, after all. She had to stay at a slow sprint to stay at the side of the younger pup, but she did have long legs for a dog.
Upon getting to the den area, Ziwa pondered, though more of a fleeting thought, for what the journey would be like with a pup with her.

Chumani was excited, that was clear. His tail wagged back and forth in a rhythm all of its own.
"Wait here, " The pup yipped back and disappeared deeper into the den.

Ziwa gave a small nod and sat at the base of the den, waiting for the pup to return.
Janja had awoken a bit early but hadn't yet moved from the comfortable spot at the back of the den. She was in a dug out and comfortable spot thay was away from the rest of the world.
With the sound of a small yip, she raised her head and looked out at her pup. "Good Morning, Chumani," she called softly to her pup.

Chumani smiled and gave his mother a soft wag of his tail. "Morning mom," He yipped. The pup glanced over his shoulder and then back at his mother. "I .." His tail dropped some.
"Can I ask you something?" He gulped, "Something big.. a favor?"

"What is it, Love?" Janja ushered her pup closer to herself. A favor? Something big? He just got off of punishment, after all, she wasn't sure if she should grant his favor, even if it wasn't terribly serious. After all, there were a lot of big things to a pup.
