Without a doubt, one of the best workouts I've ever had. Are there any studies on it? I know that sex is good for your health in many ways. It releases feel good hormones, gets your heart rate up etc. I find it a good anarobic exercise which is the kind of exercise I really need more of but found repetitive and boring. After a weekend at the cottage with my new boyfriend, I felt so sore, it was great, I hadn't felt that sore since my canoe camping trip. And it's definitely the kind of exercise you have fun doing and don't think of as exercise.

I've thought about trying to get Friends with benefits but i don't know if my family would be ok with it... plus i think i'd ether fall in love with them, but get rejected or have one of them fall in love with me when i don't have the same feeling. neutral than theres that odd thought of what if i do get in to a relationship with someone what happens to the FWBs. or what is your FWBs get in to a relationship and leave.

You guys do know we have a chillun' hanging about right? I'm just sayin'.
Nolone: That happened to me the only time I tried having a FWB. I fell in love, and he was actually at that time actively pursuing another girl. It was one of the more damaging experiences of my life actually. .-. It's usually a bad plan all around, but I've got some friends that make it work. No one gets more 'tail' than a friend of mine who is bisexual and polyamorous.
Intercourse burns more calories for the activity level than any other exercise. It's good if you're into it. Some people aren't.

Well, there are situations where one or the other gets into a relationship. But I've been lucky enough to stay on the good side of things. Feelings have never been hurt or confused. I am very aware of the risks, but I am also not all that worried. We have good communication for the most part. My family plays no role, as my sex life is rather private to me. I don't depend on my FWB's for anything, even sexual needs. So if they go off and get a girlfriend, I am not going to be incredibly hurt. But it's nice to have that instant sexual chemistry with someone, without the drama and feelings involved in a relationship. You lose a certain sense of intimacy, and it's not for everyone.

Seraphsody Intercourse burns more calories for the activity level than any other exercise. It's good if you're into it. Some people aren't. I wasn't with my ex. We fooled around enough, but nothing really calorie burning or muscle building. Just handjobs and fingering and making out. He never even came in me, nor was he able to give me an orgasm through regular intercourse. My current boyfriend came in like, a minute, and by our second attempt the same night, he was able to give me an orgasm. I have had sex with my current boyfriend more times in a span of 24hrs than I did my ex in the 7 months I was with him. The only problem is that my boyfriend is in the army and based in a different province. So there's no booty calls because it would involve 6hrs of driving in total and he's in bed by 10 to be up at 5am for their morning jog. But he will be home friday night to Sunday night so I can still sexercise 3 days a week.

Sexercise?
Sounds like something I'm going to have to suggest to my current boyfriend. Lord knows he'd be more than happy to be a good sport and help me with calorie burning. lol

Well sex can cause pregnancy, not a good idea for weight loss smile It is ok if you are into it though. A friend of mine used birth control and condoms and still got pregnant. Took her four months to get off the weight after the baby was born.

That's a good point about the correlation of intercourse and babies, but pregnancy need not lead to child-birth. There are other options available to anyone who chooses that path when even the best planners are blind sided by life. I'm most certain that the amount of women who got pregnant because they were using intercourse as a form of exercise is so small as to be negligible in a count of why women are getting pregnant.

Yeah, FWB usually = bad news bears. My experience kind of ruined a friendship, but well... whatever works for some people.
As for sex as exercise, while I like sex and typically have it about 1-3 times a week I don't think I'd like to see it as exercise. It seems like that would make it seem like a chore to do.

godblessedthebrokenroad . A friend of mine used birth control and condoms and still got pregnant. That is either pure bad luck, or improper use of one or both. My nurse was telling me it's very important to take it at the same time everyday, and condoms can troubleshoot too. Especially if not applied properly...Once (warning, this might b a tad graffic for some of the younger members...) I got off too fast and he wasn't holding it and I kina took the condom off accidentally...It leaked all over the back seat of my car, not fun... godblessedthebrokenroad Well sex can cause pregnancy, not a good idea for weight loss smile It is ok if you are into it though. Pregnancy is not the only health related problem sex can bring. Obviously there are risks for diseases if you are not careful. In my case, he was a virgin before me, I had only had one partner and we used condoms and I was tested after and I'm all clean. But the chance of getting pregnant while using two methods of birth control (using them properly of course) is like, 1 in a million? With condoms I think it's something like 1 in a hundred. freelance lover As for sex as exercise, while I like sex and typically have it about 1-3 times a week I don't think I'd like to see it as exercise. It seems like that would make it seem like a chore to do. I don't think of it as a chore and I don't do it for the exercise. It's something I enjoy and would do regardless but couldn't help but realize what a great workout it is.

The rate of women who get pregnant on birth control and condoms is very very low. There is still a chance. It is probably best in a loving relationship. I will admit it probably burns a fair amount of calories.

I think its a lot lower than that when used properly. The site you cited says * Each year, 2 out of 100 women whose partners use condoms will become pregnant if they always use condoms correctly. * Each year, 15 out of 100 women whose partners use condoms will become pregnant if they don't always use condoms correctly. So if you use condoms correctly its only around a 2% chance
