 Roku was watching his family. It felt nice to have one again. Especially since his previous one died. Now he didn't have too much to worry about. It felt like it had been ages since he had visited the graves of his past family. Now he wouldn't mention them since he didn't want to dampen the kits spirits. It wasn't something normally mentioned. Konan on the other hand was munching away on the rabbits that his father had caught for the family. "I wonder what else he can catch." He smirked a bit.

 Aleu sat a fair distance away from Konan as he ate the rabbit. The last thing she wanted to do was get any blood on her fur. She had spend a long time cleaning it, so that it lay just right and that the sun would make it shine. She couldn't help it that she was such a girly girl. After all being the only female in her litter she had no other choice. She had considered trying to be a tom boy to fit in with her brothers more, but the though of rough housing and getting dirty was just too much for her.

Konan looked up from his meal. "So...what do you think of this meal? Dad's a good hunter, huh."

Aleu looked at her brother, straightening her spine so that she sat up straight, as was expected of a young lady. "The meal is fine, a bit to messy for my liking." Her eyes moved to her father for a moment and then back to Konan. "Yes father is quite the hunter."

Konan cocked his head to the side. "Really? What would you prefer? Dad always lets us pick what he goes to hunt for."

Peppie munched happily on his rabbit. He had been running around all day and was very hungry. He thought it was funny that Aleu was too picky about being clean that she missed a meal. But hey, that meant more for him, so he wasn't complaining.
Ara smiled as she watched her children talk about their dinner and eat it. Peppie was a little messy but she would clean him up later. Sometimes she worried that Aleu was going to starve herself, but knew she would eat when she was hungry. And Konan, wel he seemed very taken with his father, which was good because Roku was an excellent fox and father.

Aleu glanced at her other brother. My he wasn't getting himself nice and messy while eating. Typical males she thought. "I prefer something that isn't going to get me dirty eating it." She told Konan, though she knew that would be hard to come by. Everything they ate would get he dirty, so was the life of a carnivore.
Lifting herself up Aleu trotted over to where her mother was. She sat beside her, head resting on her front leg. She felt a special closeness with her mother, they were after all the only females in this family.

Peppie laughed. "You are gonna starve yourself if you keep on with that." he said as he munch on the last little bit of his supper before heading over to pounce on Konan. "Hurry up and play."
Ara smiled as he only daughter came to lay with her. "Alue, you do realize that being a carnivore isn't very easy if you want to stay clean. What you will half to do is perfect your technique. The less errors in the kill, the less messy it can be to eat. Or you can try to switch to a vegetarian diet. It is hard, but I have friends that have done it."

Konan fell over as he had a piece of rabbit meat in his mouth. He quickly swallowed. "Ok ok...I'm almost finished." He took a couple more bites leaving the rest of it there for later or Roku would finish it for him. He then tried to wrestle with Peppie.

Aleu let out a soft sigh. "I know mother." Her eyes caught sight of her brothers as they began to play. "I'll eat later." She was hungry but didn't want to admit it. Aleu would wait until the others were either sleeping or distracted with play before settling down to eat. That way no one would see her all covered with blood and she would be able to get herself cleaned up in private. She glanced over at her father, she was a near spitting image on him and she took great pride in that.

Roku eventually made his way down to the others. "It's safe in this area. I just wanted to make sure no rogue foxes were around." He smiled as he watched his sons wrestle. Although sometimes he would think of spoiling Aleu since he used to have a daughter himself. "Do you think the kits would like rock candy?"

Peppie winced as he was pounced on but soon began playing and wrestling with his brother Konan as they tossed and turned all over the ground, soon completely covered in dirt. He laughed as he had fun and said, "hey Aleu, come join us." Peppie also had his father's coloring and spots as well, thus looked very similar to Roku and Aleu.
Ara could see that her daughter was hungry and pulled her aside. She walked into a secluded and isolated area that wasn't in plain sight of the brothers wrestling on the ground and told Aleu to wait there and left. She soon returned with a nice sized rabbit and said, "Eat, I won't have you starving yourself for vanity. But here should give you some privacy and time to clean. Come back out when you have finished." With that, Ara left her daughter so she could keep her pride and returned to her mate, Roku.

Aleu willingly let her mother lead her away to a secluded area. Her stomach growled hungrily as she watched her mother bring in the rabbit. "Thank you mother." She said quietly as Ara left her. With a hesitant look toward the direction that they had come from Aleu dug into the rabbit. She may not like getting dirty but sometimes you just couldn't help it. Especially when she was so hungry like she was now. Every now and then she would stop and glance up to make sure that no one was coming and then return to eating the rabbit.
After she finished her fill she set about cleaning herself up. Taking great care in doing so she first cleaned her paws, then used them to wash her face, again checking every now and then to make sure no one would see her in such a state. Aleu took her time in grooming her fur making sure that she missing no spot before standing. Giving her small body a shake, she slowly made her way back to where the rest of her family was. Carefully she wedged herself between her mother and father.
