Rajanya walked forward smiling and humming lightly to himself. His morning patrol had gone well. No intruders and no problem on this morning. Now he was headed to talk to the lastest newcomer to his lands, Princess Itzel. He promised he would remind her who he was and decided a conversation a day, makes a memory stronger. he hoped she would remember him eventually, but if she didn't he would simply remind her.

Itzel woke up with the sun, which was her daily practice, she liked to get the most out of a day. She rose out of the den in time to see a purple lion coming her way, and she smiled, she was fairly confident that she recognized him, if only a name could pop into that oddly constructed brain of hers.
She looked around her surroundings trying to see if anything else was as familiar as him, she recognized that everything there was similar, but well everything was the same in the savanaah various shades of browns and greens. She let out a sigh, perhaps the recogniztion she felt towards this lion was nothing more then a fluke, wishful thinking. She sat and decided to great the creature anyways, "Hello" she said a smile on her face despite her frustration.

Rajanya smiled as Itzel came into view, "Good morning Princess Itzel. I hope that you slept well the first night in your new home." He wondered for a moment if she remembered him or if he'd have to give his name. It mattered not he went up to her anyway and gave his new friend a quick affectionate brush on the shoulder. "I have just finished my morning round and I have come to see how you are fairing?

Itzel's smile widened, so she had met him before perhaps the recogniztion was real then. He knew her name so obviously they had met. She listened to him speak her mind trying to find the things that sound familiar, his voice, his speach pattern anything.
"So we have met before?" she said with a laugh, "I thought that I recognized you when you came along but I wasn't sure. Perhaps my memory is getting better, I hate to ask you but could you help me with your name." she sighed, she felt very rude to have to ask, but it helped her sometimes to know what others were called.

Rajanya smiled happy to know that she recognized him. "Yes, we met the other day and you decided to stay in my territory because I patrol it every day and night to make sure it is safe." Rajanya sat and listen to her speaked nodding when she asked for his name. "It's no trouble at all. Everyone forgets things from time to time. I am Prince Rajanya and I will remind you whenever you need for as long as you need. Its no trouble at all Princess Itzel."

She smiled, this lion was very kind, that must have been the reason she had decided to stay here, protection for a kind, handsom lion. "Rajanya" she repeated softly to herself. "Rajanya" She was going to do her best to remember that name, it was such a beautiful name after all.
"Thank you for her help kind Prince." she said to the boy. She found herself feeling strangly happy,

I do so miss them, they were taken from me when I was very young." Rajanya smiled happily, "beside that when you do a kindness for someone, you recieve a kindness somewhere along the way. However that is not the reason I do it. It's just who I am." Rajanya shifted getting more comfortable, "Enough about me Princess. What are you like? What do you like?"

Settling into a sitting position Itzel poundered what she could stay about herself. "What should I tell you about myself?" she asked, more to herslef than Rajanya. "I suppose you know the most important thing, I have no memory of my past." she told him laughing.
"I am a happy lion, I don't like fights or trouble. I like zebra meet the best when hunting, but find it hard to always catch one. I like that I feel like I have a home." Itzel wasn't sure what all the feelings she had were, but she knew for sure one was happiness.

Rajanya listen intently enjoying have someone he could talk to and really call a friend. He knew she had no memories of her past, but everything esle was new to him so he was quiet and waited for her to finish. "Those are wonderful qualities," he said softly. "I enjoy zebra, as well, though antelope are my favorite. I wouldn't mind helping you catch a zebra some day. I am the same in not like fight or trouble, but I will fight to defend my home. Also I am very glad you like feeling like you have a home, for you do and it is a wonderful feeling." Rajanya smiled, "I bet I am interupting you morning routine. Why don't we head to the river for a bath and we can talk more on the way."

Itzel rose with out saying anything, she moved down towards the river. Excited, she ran towards the waers edge. "Oh I like water too." Itzel shouted as she plunged into the cool refreshing water. "Come swim with me!" she shouted to the large blue lion.
The white lioness splashed in the water waiting for the male to come join her.

Rajanya rose and followed Itzel. He did not run to reach it was she did and when he did reach the waters edge he dipped his head to take a drink. At her call to join her in the water he simply waded and moved over to her. "The river water in the morning is so refreshing. It helps to cool you down before the heat of the day." Rajanya moved away a bit then flicked his tail splashing water toward Itzel.

Itzel laughed as the water from him flicking his tail washed over her. She lifted her paw up and brought it down into the water causing a fair sized splash to come up and get them both. "Water is so fun!" she said to the lion.
"I like how it is so cool and refreshing even when the world around it is so hot." it was confuzing to her how it occured but she loved it none the less, she figured you didn't have to understand things to enjoy them and love them, if you did she probably wouldn't have anyone that would love her.

Rajanya laughed brightly as he was soaked by water. He could hear Itzel's explanation about water and found he'd never thought of it that way. He looked at his reflection and the water and wondered if he could love the water so much as she. He looked to Itzel, "Yes Princess, it is very fun. I must admit I am very happy right now." He lifted his paw and splashed a small wave toward her and getting himself wet in the process.

She giggled in the water ducking her head under and coming back up, her rainbow mane coming down all around her face. "I suppose we should get on with the day now though." she sighed sad that she couldn't stay here with Rajanya in the river all day.
"Will you come back and visit me later on, I am sure I can remember you for a few hours." she said giggling

Rajanya watch as she went under the water and came back up. When she spoke it sounded sad to him, but parting was always said. He laughed lightly when she asked if he would visit again. He nodded smiling, "If that is the case than of course I shall visit you again. I greatly enjoy your company Princess Itzel." Rajanya turned to get out of the water, but looked back at his new friend. "I shall you you later my new friend."

Itzel smiled and nodded, friend, yes that was what Rajanya was. Her first friend, a friend she really hoped she would be able to remember later on today when she next saw him. She moved away quickly, wanting to get away to be able to get all the things done she needed, as to be able to see him again soon.
