So I had no clue about Boo Hags until I ran across an article in Wikipedia about them and my interest was piqued. You don't really think of America to have a lot of creatures of folklore. I mean we have Bloody Mary, the Thunderbird, the Jersey Devil and Bigfoot, I guess but I'm sure you can find counterparts all around the world and we certainly have heard about them before. Boo Hags are predominantly from the South, which is why this Yankee hasn't really heard of them before. But they are a type of vampire that feeds of of victims' breath rather than blood. Victims tend to live and wake up out of breath. They are said to be blood red and have no skin. But they can take the skin of a person and wear it like a piece of clothing until it wears out.
Are they real? Or like the whole sleep paralysis, is the Boo Hag a devised explination for sleep apnea?
I have some web sites that I used to find more information. If anyone has experienced a Boo Hag, tell us about your experience. I'm sure we'd love to know more.

I heard about them, but never really thought anything of it since I live in WI. Now, I might start to.

We've got Mothmen too, just so you know. And with these things it's best to just be aware, and ward yourself against them. It might be a little difficult to kill something like that.
