[Star's Journal] ~ [Kanna's Journal]

The group that had visited the strange, other world were now back in the forest where they lived. Star stretched his wings, feeling the river water splash the feathers once in a while. The purple/black Alula had followed Elysiana, and several other Alulas had followed through the portal as well. He wasn't paying much attention when one of the Alulas walked up to him. He didn't hear the soft footsteps approach him, but he could sense a gaze on his wings and on him. Star turned around to face the Alula. She(or he, assuming that guys didn't have flowers on their heads), was a sky blue color with swirls that seemed to move as the Alula walked, limbs moving. The silver and gold marks on her fur seemed to shine in the bright sun's light, unlike the one on the dying planet. "Hello." Star said softly, crouching down to talk to the Alula eye to eye. The Alula stared at him a bit. Star guessed she was trying to figure out more about the mysterious strange who showed up on her planet. "Hello." The Alula finally said back. It was a soft voice. It sounded like it hadn't been used a lot, but it didn't have a rusty sound to it like most voices would having not been used. The Alula's eyes narrowed. She seemed to be taking in Star's physical characteristics, his star-covered tail, his hat, his wings. "She probably doesn't know much though from what she sees, I doubt there are wings and stars on her old planet." Star thought. He kneeled down further, spreading his wings apart. "Would you like to go for a ride?"he asked the Alula. She stared at the wings, trying to figure out what they were for. "What are they for?" she finally asked. "It's for flying."he replied.
"What is flying?"
"It's when you can get into the air and you can see the clouds and things.
The Alula looked confused. Star guessed that she had never seen anything "flying" before. Sighing, he said, "Just get on." Hesitantly, the blue Alula crawled onto Star's back. "What are these? he heard from behind him. He could feel little paws patting at the feathers on his wings. "They're called wings. They are used for flying." He was getting a bit impatient with all the questions and wanted to start flying. "Ready?" In reply, he got a huge jumble of "Yes....no! Wait! Are you sure this is safe?" Star almost snorted in frustration. Finally, he got a small okay and he started running he let his wings do the rest of the work. Soon, the two of them were in the air. "You okay?" There was no response. Star was tempted to turn around and check, but he knew that would be a bad idea. What would happen if they crashed into a tree? Or a bird? Finally, he got a response. “It’s like climbing… except better.” The Alula replied in an awed voice. Star sighed in relief. It had been possible that the Alula would be scared or hate flying. “Can we land on a tree?” she asked. Star flew over to one of the large, snow covered pine trees and the Alula hopped off. “Aren’t you going to sit on the tree too?” she asked after finding a nice, comfortable branch to sit on. Star laughed. The Alula looked insulted by the laugh. ”If I sat in that tree, the poor thing will snap in half.”he explained. The corner of the Alula’s mouth twitched. Then, there was silence except for the occasional bird call and the wind and the snow cascading off trees. Finally, the Alula said, “What’s your name?” Star looked surprised, having been in deep thought. ”Huh? Oh, my name is Starlight, but everyone just calls me Star.” The Alula blinked and said, “Well then, Star, my name is Kanna. Do you want to be friends?” Star blinked several times and then grinned. ”I’m sure we’ll be great friends.”
