Higure moved silently out onto the field, taking a moment to appreciate the landscape. It was not often that one was privelaged enough to bear witness to a field so vast, and yet so entirely empty. The ground was covered in short, nearly pale white grass, the spread out as far as the eye could see, contrasted by a bright blue sky. A soft wind curled over the tips of that grass, ruffling Higure's hair and causing him to smile slightly. Today would be fun.

The sky seemed to rip apart, the dimensional fabric between worlds opened like a zipper on a coat, revealing the chaotic turmoil of reishi that was the signature of a Garganta. Stepping out of the chaos, Ivan surveyed the ground below him as the Garganta closed. White grass, and it hasn't even snowed. That was an unusual sight to see. It was also barren except for the lone figure of Higure. Since he was the only one on the ground, it wouldn't be difficult to notice when Ivan's immense spiritual energy flared to life, challenging Higure to look up as Ivan's eyes looked down.

Higure smiled lightly as he felt the reiatsu behind him. It wasn't something to laugh at, but neither was it something that overly disturbed him. He had fought, and killed, many men in his days. Men that were far stronger than the one who now challenged him. "You are brave, boy." He said evenly, turning lightly on his heel to make eye-contact with the arrancar. "Not many openly challenge me. Even fewer survive the ordeal." For now, Higure kept his reiatsu in check, there was no sense in getting overly excited before the blood bath. Plenty of time for that later. In his mind, he wondered if he would need his bankai to defeat the whelp. Unlikely. "Well?" He said after a few moments, spreading his arms wide. "The first move is yours, arrancar."

The captain vastly underestimates the powerful Arrancar known as Ivan, though he didn't let the fact that Higure wasn't taking him seriously get to him, keeping a neutral expression on his face as he descended to the ground, his white cloak swaying in the slight breeze.
"You don't seem to take me seriously."
He started saying, his form quickly disappearing with a small burst of staticy noise, the trademark of Sonido, the high speed ability similar to shunpo. Though he's not the fastest of the Espada, he can match many of the Gotei 13 in speed. Reappearing in front of Higure, Ivan's right foot shot quickly towards Higure's gut, his hands in his pockets, a neutral expression still on his face.
"So let me show you the folly of that decision."

Higure smiled lightly as he felt the arrancar move. Brash. He wasn't fond of fools, and this person seemed intent on proving himself one. No matter, this fight would not last long at the rate they were going. He waited until the last moment, at the point where he could feel the wind from the Arrancar's kick, to move. When he did move, it was smooth, and extremely fast, his body twisting like a leaf in the wind and moving silently around the attack. "Child." He stated, his voice even and controlled. "You really shouldn't kick people. It's not nice you see." He vanished suddenly, moving without a sound, and appearing behind the arrancar, his sword now drawn and placed at the back of his neck. "Think before you strike, else your blood will be on the ground next time."

"Enough with calling me child. Because that's highly inaccurate."
Ivan answered, boldly grabbing Higure's blade and thrusting a foot bcakwards towards his gut, then pulling his arm forwards while leaping forwardwith the foot he still had on the ground. What would hopefully result is Higure being slammed into the ground with Ivan crsuhing him with his weight. After a few seconds, Ivan would get off via Sonido and reappear a few feet away.

A sigh escaped Higure's lips, and he fell backwards, allowing the Arrancar to move harmless above him, and yanking down on his sword, no doubt slashing a deep cut into the foolish man's hand. "As far as I am concerned, boy." He said, noting that the arrancar's feet hand landed just above his head. "You are a child." He vanished, reappearing a few yards away. "I do not believe that you fully appreciate the gravity of your attacking me. Do you honestly believe that you will be able to even touch me at the rate you are going? You bounce about like a child in a sandbox, no sign of rhyme or reason. Stupidity." He let out a long sigh, and wiped the blood off of his sword, and onto the grass, leaving a strange red splotch on the landscape. "It seems I will need to beat some sense into your overly thick skull." Higure moved his sword arm up slowly, holding it out at a horizontal angle, and placing the two fingers of his left hand along the spine of the blade. "Yume, Kagirinaiyo." Instantly, the entire field became covered in darkness, limiting visability and throwing a harsh, hostile feeling everywhere. Higure's zanpakuto shrunk slowly, forming into a kodachi, with the hilt changing to pure white, and the tsuba shattering, reforming into a solid black butterfly. "You will die soon, little arrancar." He whispered, closing his eyes and holding his zanpakuto out in front of him. "I feel your memories, the deepest parts of your mind laid bare. You cannot defeat me, you are not strong enough." He moved his zanpakuto out in a wave like motion, using his abilities to set off the pain receptors of anyone within the darkness.
((You cannot just leave the darkness, in case you are wondering. You would need to go miles away, and would essentially forfeit, in order to do so.))

If the shinigami thought he severely cut Ivan, he would be in for a suprise. For the cut on his hand was nothing more than a papercut, a nick at best. Noticing that Higure has just released his Zanpakuto and casted the world in darkness, Ivan kept a neutral expression on his face as he looked at Higure, obviously not impressed.
"So you cast the place in darkness and claim to have my memories laid bare before you and that I can't beat you. Can you be any more arrogant shinigami?"
Ivan said even as his pain receptors went wild with stimulation, the best that Higure would get rom his face that showed he was feeling the pain was a wince or two. It seems he'll have to pull out his own Zanpakuto, which he did, a katana sized blade that he kept on his left hip. Shotting forward, the Arrancar then spun once and slashed at Hgure's midsection, the neutrla expression still on his face.

((Not a papercut at best bud. You aren't role-playing as the first espada, you are role-playing as an arrancar who does not have a number assigned to him. Higure is the strongest shinigami / vizard in soul society and earth combined, and as such, can slice through you like butter, even if you were roleplaying as the first, you would not be able to get a tiny scratch from grabbing his zanpakuto, and having him yank down on it. Remember that.))
Higure held his zanpakuto out almost lazily, stopping the slash in its tracks with a slight shower of sparks. "I do not claim to have your memories laid before me, fool. They are laid before me. Even as far back as when you were human. Do not fear though, I will not force you to relive your past, not today." He shoved outwards with his blade, throwing the Arrancar back. "I will say this only once, and if you do not respond in a satisfactory manner, I will kill you. Fight me seriously."

(Ooops, for got about that, my apologies)
"I see you don't want to drag this out, fine. I guess the gloves are off."
Ivan said, holding his sword out in front of him before he stared straight at Higure, a small smirk painting his face for once in the battle. He's gonna have to do it after all, he's gonna have to go into his Resureccion.
"Attarer, Endragio Blanco (Terrify, White Dragon)"
Ivan said as he bit down on the katana's blade and it dissolved into a flurry of snow, the hilt dissolving in his hand. A sickening squelch could be heard from the Arrancar as great wings protruded from his back and unfurled. Forced onto his feet, Ivan's teeth sharped and his face elongated while the mask fragemts on his head recovered his face. His hands and feet transformed and became clawed and a long tail grew from his lowerback, tipped with a wicked blade that looked like it was an icicle.
Though he was returning to his previous form as a powerful Hollow, Higure would have a hard time seeing it due to the minature Arctic storm that swirled around the two. Heavy snow and freezing winds whipped around the both of them to the point that it was very hard for Higure to see the transformed Ivan as he attacked, a blast of freezing winds exploding right besides Higure, intending to freeze him in his tracks.

((It's not an issue. I want you to give me your best, and your most creative attacks here. It's not about who kills who, it's about how well you roleplay. Also, I am not limiting you as a Numeros or a Fraccion. Rather saying that you just don't have a number as of yet.))
Higure smiled as he watched the Arrancar release his resurreccion. It was about time that the boy took the fight seriously. Slowly, he closed his eyes, willing the darkness to fade, replaced by a field of burning lava thirty meters deep. The heat from the burning stones rocketed upwards, roaring out like the hungriest of fires and melting away the ice and snow to steam. "Your resurreccion is quite beautiful, Ivan." He said with a smile, "But how well can you fight in a field of fires?" His smile turned to a grin, and he continued. "My zanpakuto does not make the world black, friend. It takes memories, and dreams, and makes them reality. This particular scene." He spread his arms wide, indication the chaotic spurts of molten stone and fire. "Is from the inside of a volcano I visited once. I was curious as to the state of the elements within, so I went to gather some samples. Quite beautiful if you ask me." He took a deep breath, basking in the warmth of the flames for a moment. "Now then, shall we continue?" Without warning, he reached towards his belt, revealing a small ring-gun no larger than a baby pear. Leveling the weapon at Ivan, he grinned maliciously, and pulled the trigger. "Hiryugekizokushintenraiho." Surprisingly, all that came from the gun was a tiny little ball of reiatsu, which rushed out like a thunderbolt, hissing through the air with violent intent.

Ivan's ice storm was something that he controls at will, though with the heat of Higure's current scene change, the area 500 feet around them became nothing more than a thick steam. Thankfully since it was Ivan's storm that was changint to stem, Ivan can still see his target. His massive wings lifted him into the air and he soared towards the shinigami at steadily increasing speeds, a Bala firing from his mouth to shoot down the small reitsu ball. In case that didn't work, Ivan manuvered around it, his claws gleaming as they slashed towards Higure, meaning to tear great chunks from the shinigami's flesh. He then let off a loud roar, charging a powerful Cero while within point blank range. After the attempted rending of Higure, he released the Cero, hopign it did the job of killing the shinigami.

As the bala connected with the small ball of reiatsu, it exploded, expanding into a truly massive beam of pure electricity that thundered across the entire frontal field of vision, obliterating a large portion of the true field behind where Ivan had been. As Ivan moved to attack Higure, he also moved, appearing behind the large dragon and laughing lightly, an almost musical sound. "All force and no finesse, eh Ivan? It truly is a good thing that you moved around that ball of reiatsu before your bala hit it. You would have surely been destroyed by that blast." With a flourish, he placed the tiny gun back into it's compartment, and placed both hands on the hilt of his zanpakuto. "And now, we play." With a swoosh, he vanished, appearing to the right of Ivan's neck and coming down with an extremely rapid and powerful downwards cut, causing the lave beneath them to roar to life and divide into two parts, almost like a parting of the red sea, but with fire.

With a powercul clap of his wings, Ivan lifted himself higher in the air, dodging the powerful slash that parted the sea of lava below him. God it was getting hot in this place, and Ivan was getting slightly irritated. His color was the only thing helping him blend in with the steam as he disappeared with a sonido, which would have spoke volumes of his skill, able to move his bulk at that fast of pace.
Ivan's tail then loosely around Higure's figure like a lasso, about 2 feet of space between Higure and Ivan's tail before it attempted to clamp around him, hopefully leaving him vulnerable to Ivan's slashing claws. This time, the claws were coated in ice so if they hit, the cold would creep across his body until his body was paralyzed due to the ice. That is if his tail managed to hold the shinigami still.
