Itzel played by nessiaing Rajanya played by Kaori_luv

Itzel had woken up early. It was a glorious day, perhaps the best day she had ever come across, she wasn't sure. She knew that yesterday was a bad day it had been cloudy and the pressure in the air was unbearable. She shook the thoughts of yesterday out of her head, soon they wouldn't be there at all.

Itzel was a happy go lucky lion, it was hard not to be when you lived more or less day by day. Only barely remembering the day before. The white lion moved towards the edge of river, wanting a drink and a bath. She slipped into the cool running water, laughing and splashing in it, totally unaware of the world around her.

Rajanya was doing his rounds, just like ever other morning. Checking on the herds and predators in the area. Rogue cheetah cubs had been born recently and he was making sure their den area was quite clear of intruders. This morning after he had visited the area, staying clear of the den itself althought the mother did not seem to mind, he decided he'd enjoy a drink.

He moved forward toward the river smiling and thinking about the day ahead. He stopped short hearing splashing and smiled wondering who was enjoying the mornings cool water.

Itzel having enjoyed her self quite a bit, moved slowly out of the water not really wanting to get out of the water but knowing that she couldn't spend the whole day in the water, she had to eat and find a safe place to sleep for the night, Itzel quite liked moving dens fairly often. She wasn't sure why but she thought perhaps it kept her safer? She often worried about others coming to find her knowing about her memory problems.

As she came up one the bank she spotted the purple lion. She put a pleasant smile on her face not wanting to ward of a friendly visitor if that was what he was, but braced herself for a conflict at the same time, I girl could never be too safe. "Hello" she said in a quite, yet pleasant voice.

Rajanya spotted the female and was happy to see a smile on her maw. She greeted him and he returned her greeting with a nod as he approached.

"Good morning Princess. Come to the river to bathe this morning?"

Rajanya stopped before the light female waiting for her answer. He did not simply want to move past her and take a drink. It would be rude to dishonor a princess in such as way.

"I did come this way for a quick bath and a drink." Itzel said a small grin on her face. Itzel was very happy that she had found such a pleasant river to swim in and get a good drink. It was a brilliant way to start a nice way to start what she was pretty sure was it was going to be a very hot day.

As she stood thinking this all to herself, she realized that the reason this particular lion probably wanted a drink, she moved to the side quickly, "I am sorry how rude of me. I am betting you are thirsty, don't mind me." she said, her voice had a soothing pleasant tone to it, very lady like.

Rajanya smiled, "It no problem, Princess. I do not mind waiting. Afterall it is my duty." He moved arond the female and headed to the river dipping his head to drink. He did so in a dignified manner, afterall he was a prince, even if his pride had been extinguished.

He drink was quick and he stepped back from the river, turning back toward the female. "That was quite refreshing," he said smiling, "I am Prince Rajanya. May I ask for your name Princess?"

"Itzel is my name.... I think." she told him. It was confusing for her when others asked her name. She didn't know if the name she went by now was the name she had been given, it could have been, but she just didn't know.

She was embarressed by her lack of knowledge when it came to herself, and her world. "It is very nice to meet you." she told him, trying to lighten her mood. She sat quietly studying the male, he had a certain quality to him.

Rajanya grinned when she seemed to be a bit confused about her own name, but compliment her all the same. "Itzel is a very lovely name princess."

He moved closer and sat with her when she sat, "It is very nice to meet you too. Are you from around her or have you traveled here?" He looked her over admiring her delicate beauty. She seemed very sweet so far.

"I travel a great deal. I don't remember where my home was. Frankly I don't remember much of anything." she told the other lion, she wasn't embaressed about her memory loss, it was just a fact of her life something she had grown very use to over the years, she hoped that someday she would get it all back but for now she was content living day to day.

"Are you from around here Rajanya?" she asked him, if she knew there was a friendly face in the area, one that she could perhaps count on a little bit perhaps she would stick around longer in one place instead of having to move on constantly.

Rajanya looked confused for a moment and wondered why her memory was not what it should be. He did not think she could be any older than him and it didnt seem as though she was the type to get in a fight.

"I had to leave my home when I was very young. I am the prince of a once great pride that is now gone. I know my prides ways, but do not remember many of the lions that were in it."

Rajanya took a minute to collect his though before he looked at Itzel smiling bright, "This is my home now and I make daily round and make sure everyone in my territory is protected. They all seem to except this and for the most part I am respected. They see no reason, not to I suppose."

Itzel felt her maw spread into possibly the widest smile she had ever had. Protection was something that Itzel needed she was constantly afraid that someone would take advantage of her poor mind. "I am happy to hear that you live in this area and that you protect those her."

"I haven't had a home for along time because I have been afraid of someone coming alone to harm me. Do you mind if I stayed in your little territory? I can't promise that I will remember you, you may have to tell me who you are every once in awhile." she said hte last part while laughing, she rarely remembered someone, but perhaps if Rajanya was willing to remind her she would be able to remember him.

Rajanya smiled happily, "I am glad to see you approve. It is a prince's duty, especially to the princess' of my territory."

Rajanya looked sad for a moment hearing Itzel's plight, but smiled brightly when she asked to stay. "I would be honored to have you stay in my territory and do not worry about my territory. I patrol everyday, so I will see you daily and if I need to remind you who I am I will do so. Princess Itzel, it is a pleasure to have here."

Itzel bowed her head in thanks. "I am very thankful my new friend." she told Rajanya. As if on que as soon as Itzel stopped talking her stomach growled. She chuckled "I am sorry but it sounds like I must go get something to eat now. I do hope that we will se each other again soon."

She turned and went to walk away, smelling the air all around her to see if she could find some meet in the area.
