The light blue lioness panted softly in the hot son she was relaxing in the pride lands as she rested on her side. She was getting larger and larger with each passing day. She hadn't exactly told anyone yet why but she knew her queen knew atleast what happened. She iggnored her so called mate she growled each time she came near she had fallen out of the relationship rather suddenly and didn't look back. Now she was consindered with her future cubs poision she didn't really want them to grow up in the pride not with it seeming to be crumbling around her.
Sighing heavily she looked to her stomach before looking to the sky she should go back to Bwana tell him they where successfull in their plan as well as talk with him about the cubs future. This is when the lioness noticed that her adopted son was making his way to her she smiled as she moved to slowly get to her feet.
Mashaka moved peacefully through the pride he had been avoiding his mother and sister for awhile, he knew there was a talk that he needed to have with them, but he didn't think that he was ready, he wasn't sure how they would respond or what would occur. It had been hard enough to tell Talelza that he was leaving how was he going to tell the only two that had ever meant anything to him.
He saw his mom at the same time that she saw him, he swallowed heavily there was no going back now. He moved towards his mother noticing that she was a little thicker then normal, he was confused by it having only ever seen his step mother just before she gave birth, and when he could he didn't look at her at all.
She smiled as her tail flicked behind her indelight as she began to purr being rather affection now with her hormones all out of wack true she had been pregnant once before but this time was different ths time she dind't curse the children from her stomach they where a abominasion like the others where. She moved over to him pushing him down to the ground as she began to groom him.
"Well there your are little man." She said smiling as she kept cleaning his fur his mane starting to shine through. She smiled enjoying what a big man her son was growing into.
Mashaka purred happily allowing his mother to grew him. It may be one of the last times he got this lesiure. "Hi Momma." he said to her lightly, he enjoyed having her, having a mother. Sitting siliently for a minute just enjoying his cleaning, Mashaka gathered his thoughts.
"Mom things aren't always going to be like this are they?" he was really leading into his own thing that he needed to tell his mother, still naive to what she might have to tell him.
she tilted her head softly stopping in the grooming as she watched him curiously. "What do you mean Masha?" She asked softly as she leaned into him basking in the sun with him not noticing her stomach was resting aginst his side now as the cubs inside her belly began to get a bit resless and began to wiggle about.
Mashaka jumped when he felt the movement in his mother's stomach. Once on his feet he whirled around his eyes darting from her eyes to her stomach and back again. He was so confused, was she really hungry? He could have sworn that the movement had been more then that, it felt like her stomach had kicked him.
"WHAT WAS THAT!" he asked nodding toward her stomach, his eyes wide.
She blinked before looking to his line of sight as she bursted out into a small laughas she shook her head softly. "Oh my Masha I'm sorry I...I forgot to tell you." She said smiling big as she moved to lick her belly slightly before looking back to him. "You and Kana will have some little brothers and sisters soon." She said proudly as her tail flicked showing off how excited she was of the future little ones.
Mashaka sat down panting, trying to slow his heart rate and wrap his head aroun d the news that he just recieved. He swollowed hard, it clearly wasn't the time to tell his mother about him leaving the pride, she had enough on her plate, he couldn't bear upset her when she was with cubs.
"When?" he asked quietly wondering if perhaps he would be around for the event.
"Not long now." She said softly looking to him smiling she knew the day of him leaving was quickly approuching it was one of the reason she wanted to have the cubs soon so that he could see them she loved her little man dearly and saw him as her child. She hated he would be leaving but knew it was fr the best. She stretched out on her side before looking to the sky. "Masha my little man would you do you Momma a big favor? Would you go get me a zebra?" She asked softly getting a bad craving for their favored choice of meat.
Mashaka stood quickly with a smile on his face, he loved that he was going to be useful "Sure thing." he said before galloping away to find the best possible Zebra he could for his mother.
He hunted breifly before returning, dragging a moderate to small sized zebra, the best a cub his age could catch really, it helped that he was bigger then average. He dropped it at his mother's paws. "For you." he said a huge grin on his face, he felt very proud to have brought her this meal.
She smiled big as she thank him before she tore into the prey letting out a happy moan at the taste it was so yummy and filling. She kept eatting as she wiggled out taring the pices off till there wad nothing left as she began to lick her maw and fur clean before getting to her fet to get some water.
"Masha...I'm proud of you. You know that right?" She said looking to him after to got a few big gulps of water. She sat down so her limbs wouldn't get tired from the added weight on her shoulder and back.
"Both you and Kana...you've grown up to be so big a strong." She said as she began to cry a ltitle. "Oh I'm sorry...Its the cubs they makee me more emotional. But its true I'm so proud of you even prouder that you see me as your momma and not the female that stole you away."
"You may have stolen me away but you gave me a home a life, and somewhere safe. You have made me and Kana so happy." Mashaka eyes too began to well up, he blinked several times trying to rid himself of the tears. "Speaking of Kana I should go make sure she isn't getting herself into any trouble." he said quickly wanting to get away from Mizu before she saw him crying, she had just said how grown up he was, grown up lions didn't cry.
He gave her a quick nuzzle before leaving.
She smiled as she watched him leave chuckling softly." So silly my little man." She whispered to herself before moving to cean up the mess she had made before moving back to her den to curl up and thinking she had to go see him the father of the cubs it was decided she would go see him tonight to tel him what she wanted for thier cubs.
