Ok so it's rather hard to find a good quality MMORPG, so i've decided to expand the search for any MMORPG that either have a free trial, or has free to play options.

I'll list all the one's submitted on this mainpage, and when i get a chance i'll update them with links and a short description.

I tend to answer these topics with: Atlantica Online.

I really enjoyed Atlantica Online while I played it and I'm very tempted to re-download it so I can play again. *toys with idea* Anyway, it's a decent f2p MMO.

Pros

  • Free2Play w/item mall
  • Decent graphics, pretty in their own way
  • Unique not-boring (imho) turn-based battle
  • Design your party with various classes of Mercenaries, including Shaman,
  • Monk, Beast Tamer, Swordsman, Witch, Spearman, Spartan, Musician, Viking, etc...
  • Craft an absurd amount of items
  • Explore real locations (but not exactly accurate) from all over the world
  • Upgrade weapons and armor using enhance stones
  • Form parties with friends to fight multiple parties of enemies
  • Relatively high lvl cap (forgot what it was, over 80 at least)
  • Noticeable storyline that doesn't always feel like you're doing senseless quests.
  • Free League, or whatever it was called, allows you to risk-free PvP in ranked matches against other players to earn random items and special Coins, along with points that allow you to purchase special items. Very fun, somewhat tactical.
  • Decent Guild system. Only 20k, last I checked, to start a Guild. Which is dirt cheap. Guild dungeons, own a town through Guild Points, Guild Crafting, Guild Quests, Guild emblems available, etc...
  • Player driven economy and market, with some limits.
  • Mounts, available both through Market (in game gold) and the Item Mall
  • Boss battles

Cons

  • Natural attracting to the item mall (teleportation scrolls, ftw!)
  • Can become grindy, but it is an MMO
  • Must purchase a Merc. Room License to keep leveled up Mercenaries in 'storage' (party limit is 9, I believe)
  • Few customization options
  • I'm sure there are other cons, really, but I enjoyed this MMO for a time and its actually hard for me to think of many cons...

I've played all those free ones, didn't really like any of them xD Perfect world had potential.
Is Aion any good? the subscription fees are stupidly high >_>

I'm not really one for turn based combat, infact i hate it, but the party thing and all has got me interested, i'm downloading it now. Looks like it might change my mind about the whole turn-based gaming xp

atlantica online was pretty fun especially since you can fight with a guitar. runescape is alright without membership just do the quests and you'll feel like you've done something.
Anarchy online is very hard if you don't read the manual and not pay attention to what they say.
Maple story was just lame, I didn't care for it since the combat seemed to suck for me(not enough blood or carnage).
Perfect world is pretty cool since you can fly around and do flips and cartwheels the combat isn't sticky(as much as other games) it also has neko's but it's a bit basic with leveling and social stuff on it(this game does have marriage for those who care).

Aion is cool but honestly its just another generic fantasy mmorpg.

Perfect World was pretty fun for awhile. Played it before the International release on the Malaysian version. Grindy. But fun. And the flying was cool.

Elatiosair: Turn-based battles can be pretty boring. But its a bit more fast paced (I believe you can also change the speed), requires less micromanaging, and has virtually no menu selections. If you decide you like it, I have a character on the Thebes server (I think) that I can help you out with, if you'd like.

Did you try Dungeon Fighter Online? It's still in its beta stage but, they are making updates into the real version soon.
