A small room, lit by the windows behind the desk, houses a desk and a few stacks of books. It is the residence of the Kage. The poor fool is probably stooped over a pile of books and reports… or sleeping.

User ImageRuiisu sighed as he put his brown shall over his shoulder. he grabbed his Shamisen by its throat. as he walked into the Tsuchikages office. this would be the first time he would meet the men personally. he wondered just what the kage wanted from him.
could it be another test of my Loyalty? what does he want this time... if he asks for the sets of my clan will i be able to give it to him? do i love this village that much?
Thoughts like that always hunted his mind. he never had the guts to answer them himself. he never was able to choose between his village and his family. he was brought out of his reavire by the books on the desk. he wondered where the kage was.

There was a note left on the desk of the Stone village's kage. the note read....

"Ruiisu, If you read this then i guess I remember to put it in its place; because if it was not there; then you wouldn't be reading this to know that i had put it in its place.

Well anyways; If you would like; i would like to ask you to go to the Chunin Exam's as a spectator, you will be allowed to go behind the scenes with the Other kage and Jounin as long as you have this note; so don't forget it; or you wont be allowed in due to not having this note which is what you need.

Seeing as how you are new to the Whole ninja thing; i think this would be best for you to do as your first mission, it would allow you to see what others are going and let you know what you want to work on; or not work on. whee (Yes he drew that face)

So have fun; Ohh yeah the exams start march 19th, Dont be late ninja (he drew that too)"

"Without music, life would be a mistake."

* Friedrich Nietzsche,

User ImageAs he read the note there was only one thing he could do.He sat down on one of the chairs. they where definately comfertable but the emotions running through him did not allow him to spend to much time on those thoughts.
this is how the age writes? he writes like a little kid. can the legends of our kage being as hard as stone be lies?
After shaking his head he looked around. the kage at least enjoyed reading. After folding the paper and putting it int he safest place he knew of, inside his shamisen. he walked out of the office, and decided to go to the exams he really did need to know more about ninjas did he not?

A little girl sat in a very big chair behind a very big desk in an only moderately-sized room. It was sort of cramped. Natsuhiko felt the bookshelves and curtains loom over her as she stared very hard at the way her feet swung limply above the ground.

'It's okay Hiko, you can do this. You. Can. Do this. It's only a desk job half the time and the other half is... defending the lives of your entire hometown from the threats of war and invasion... No! I can't think like that! I-I wouldn't have been promoted if I couldn't do this! Th-The village council knows best, right? RIGHT? IF THEY KNEW BEST, THEN THEY WOULD HAVE PICKED SOMEONE ELSE FOR THE JOB.'

The girl was now hyperventilating as her focused stare spun out into dizzy spirals. Three, identical jounin looked upon her with a sort of exasperated pity.

"Isn't there some simple paperwork you can attend to, m'lady? That should take your mind off of things..."
"I'll open a window..."
"You're doing great on your first day, miss! No one's died yet!"

"YET!?"

The second jounin smacked the third. Natsuhiko now looked ready to cry.

"Uwaah... I'm not cut out for this! Lord Tame, why did you agree to this!? TSUCHIKAGE-SAMAAAA!"

"Lord Tame's not Tsuchikage anymore, m'lady, you are."

Natsuhiko made to headdesk, but her large chair was pulled out too far for her small frame, and she ended up hitting the floor. Her vassals hardly took notice anymore.

"Look," the tactless third ninja, in an attempt to redeem himself, pulled a file out of one of the desk's drawers. "See this?" he opened the file, "These are the genin of the village. They're going to take the Chunin Exam at some point, and it's up to you, as Village Kage, to make sure they're prepared to take the test."

Natsuhiko pulled herself off the floor and peered over the edge of the desk, looking over each individual profile. She looked up at her jounin's face with shining eyes, truly moved by his words of encouragement.

"Since you obviously can't handle taking care of the entire village, why don't you focus on these guys?"

Natsuhiko returned to her place face-down on the floor.

Akira definitely felt strange, being outside the Tsuchikage's office. It was a combination of knowing that he didn't really belong there coupled with the fact that doing something foolish could jeapordize Suna's relations with the village. However, he knew how to carry himself properly, so he had nothing to worry about.

"Exscuse me, lord Tsuchikage...My name is Akira...Kazeryu Akira. I've come from sunagakure because of the chunin exams."

Akira was hoping that he could be heard through the door; he didn't want to just open it up, since that would be rude. He also made sure all of his weapons were secure, and he looked as non-threatening as possible.

"I'm here searching for clues as to the location of the chunin exams. I didn't want to wander around your village without informing you first. Plus, I was hoping you might have a clue yourself, Tsuchikage-sama..."

Natsuhiko flinched when she heard a voice from outside and she scrambled to get back on her feet, ultimately bumping her head on her desk and falling backwards. Slowly, this time, she peeled herself off the floor and stood up.

"I-Isn't someone going to get that..?"

Considering her vassals had all apparently left the room, the answer was probably "no." Natsuhiko sweatdropped and shuffled over to the large double door.

The was a deep scuffing sound as the little girl dragged one of the heavy doors out of the way. She looked almost comically small against the large furniture that also occupied the room.

She blinked and straightened up when she realized this was a foreign ninja addressing her.

"Ah! Hello!" she greeted cheerily, backing into the room to allow the guest to enter. "I'm Natsuhiko Jimeinori! The new Tsuchikage, that is..." she trailed off awkwardly and gave a slight bow that nearly sent the over-sized kage hat tumbling over her head. She hastily pushed it back and stood straight, looking the newcomer over.

"Ah... is that so? You've really come a long way for that information, haven't you... Ah, well then, that's a commendable trait in any aspiring chunin! Good for you!" She clapped her hands together in approval.

"I'm sorry I can't offer more help, but I can tell you we're not hosting the Exams here, though I'll tell you we'd love to. It's great for the small businesses, you see... Um, have you tried any of the villages further south? For being one of 'The Five, Great Nations', we're still kind of out in the boondocks..."

The Tsuchikage looked away, slightly embarrassed. She still tried to maintain a welcoming atmosphere.

"Well, anyway, please make yourself at home here in Iwagakure during your stay. I hope you find what you're looking for."

User ImageThe city was much bigger than she'd thought it would be-but it was homey for sure. The Tsuchikage's office was nice too-it had that earthy smell that was nice. Kiko was really tempted to move here now-but she still had no reason. And besides, Shiso and Yukai were her friends. She wouldn't abandon them for nothing-there would have to be a set reason why she would, and it would be a difficult choice indeed...But enough about that. Tsukiko picked up San, and prepared to go into the Tsuchikage's office, but it seemed that the door was already open, and there was another shinobi in the doorway, addressing a girl that looked similar to Kiko herself-she had the green eyes and dark skin that resembled Tsukiko's own. With a sudden realization that the tiny girl was the Tsuchikage (the hat gave it away), Tsukiko bowed, and San tipped her head down in respect. "Lady Tsuchikage, I've come from Cloud to collect information on the Chunin exams-is there any information you could give me?" she asked quietly, blinking.

That was it? Akira was expecting something more of a clue than 'well it's not here'. He was expecting some sort of riddle or to have to go through some sort of challenge, or at least to have to force answers out of somebody. He started to question what the Tsuchikage said. Maybe it was a trick, she could be telling him it wasn't there to throw him of the right track, or she may have been trying to shoo him away before he could discover a real clue. Then again, he could be reading too much into this, and it could simply be that the Tsuchikage didn't have many clues. Staying here too long would waste his time, especially if there were no real clues to be found.

"...I see. Well, thank you for your help anyway."

It made sense that she probably wouldn't know if she was a new kage, and she didn't seem like she was trying to mislead him at all. Still, he hadn't really learned anything. He believed his summoned falcon Hyabusa shouldn't have gotten all the way to mist yet, he was contemplating calling him back and having the bird fly back to suna to give his information to Ichi. There was no point of him heading all the way back to suna just to say 'Hey guys, it's not in stone!'.

In fact, using Hyabusa as a go-between to share information wasn't a bad idea. Why didn't he think of it sooner?

"Your village seems very welcoming and pleasant, Tsuchkage-sama, but I have to leave soon so I can find the exam location as soon as possible. Thank you again for the help."

Akira bowed respectfully and then exited the door just as another girl was coming in. Once he turned out of the doorway, he waited, seeing if he could overhear anything. Maybe the Tsuchikage didn't have any more information, but maybe this cloud ninja had picked up a clue or two.

"Ah..?" Natsuhiko blinked as she noticed yet another newcomer; this time from Cloud, according to their forehead protector, but oh... weren't those Inuzuka markings? And a dog?

Natushiko tilted her head to the side and smiled. "Ah, more visitors! Welcome! Please!" she stepped further away from the door to allow the girl entry, though the over-sized furniture made the office a little cramped.

"I'm the new Tsuchikage, Natsuhiko Jimeinori," the tiny girl reiterated with another short nod. This time she was careful not to let her hat slide off.

"Ah... the Chunin Exams..? My, you've come even further than this young man!" It was odd to hear someone who looked like an academy student use the phrase "young man," but Natsuhiko did so in stride.

"Hmm... Well, as I told Mr. Kazeryu here, we're not hosting the Exams here in Stone. I wish I could say more since you both traveled so far--especially you, miss! Did you really come all this way on your own!?"

Natsuhiko's expression of concern as she tittered over the state of the two genin juxtaposed her tiny frame, but at the same time... it fit. If anything, it helped make her appear older, even if she still came off as more of the nice neighbor lady than a kage.

She sighed and tipped her head to the side once again in thought. Keeping tight-lipped about the Exam's location was really a big strain on her.

"I wish you the best of luck..." she told Akira as he left. Natsuhiko pouted and looked up at Tsukiko, "Really now, I hope he finds it... that would be all too tragic..." She mumbled.

User Image"We did, Lady Tsuchikage. And thank you for your clue-it was most helpful. I have faith that you'll become a great kage-everyone has their own beginnings." Tsukiko bowed politely once again, as well as San, and waved to the Tsuchikage. "Best of luck to you, Natsuhiko-sama." With that, Tsukiko picked up San and went out of the office doors, stopping as she noticed Akira waiting outside the office. "Want to exchange clues?" she asked, curious to know what he knew.

Akira turned to look at the cloud ninja as she adressed him. She was asking to share information. Technically, they weren't on the same side. Plenty on ninja probably attacked those from other villages and stole of forced the clues out of them. But since he thought about it, it really wouldn't be much of a deal if he did help another ninja get to the exams. They were merit based, as his father had told him, so trying to weed out the competition didn't exactly help; you had to prove that you deserved it.

"Share information? Sure, I really don't see why not. Unfortunately I don't know much, but maybe if we put what we know together, it'll be something."

Akira also knew it would be important to get his message to the others in Suna right away. He needed to get Hyabusa back.

"I'm actually working with a team back in Suna. We each spread out to look for clues. I have to get in contact with them, I need to get someplace high...maybe the roof of this building..."

Akira immediately headed out a window, climbing to the roof. It was high enough, he hoped. He put his fingers to his mouth and seemed to try to whistle, but no sound seemed to come out. He then looked around towards the skyline, searching for something.

"It'll probaby take him a little while to get back. Knowing him he didn't go directly to mist. So, I suppose we should introduce ourselves first. I'm Akira of the Kazeryu clan"

User ImageTsukiko followed Akira as he climbe up, having no difficulty with the climb. She frowned slightly-he seemed to distrust her, but then he seemed to change his mind again. "Tsukiko Inuzuka. Call me Kiko. And this is San Inuzuka, my ninken. Pleased to meet you. I'm actually going to go to Suna next-maybe I will meet your team while I wait for the rest of mine." She listened as he whistled, cringing lightly. Even though normal human ears couldn't pick up the noises he made, Tsukiko's could-it was a con of sharing one's chakra with a ninken. San barked, wagging her tail. "Please...to...meet...!" the little dog said, a grin evident on her face.

Akira hadn't even noticed the dog before, maybe he was too focused on his task. He knew that this would be a problem when Hyabusa got back, the bird wasn't exactly fond of dogs, but at least it wasn't a cat.

"Nice to meet you, Kika and San. So, your heading to Suna, are you? Well, I was actually planning on trying my luck somewhere else, but if your team and mine both pool our knowledge, we're sure to get enough information."

Akira turned his head as he heard the faint flapping of wings in the distance. He didn't expect Hyabusa to be back so soon. The small falcon perched itself on top of Akira's head.

"Damnit, Akira, what do you think I am, some kind of trained dog!? Hmph, calling me with a whistle..."

Akira crossed his arms and closed his eyes, looking slightly upset at his partner.

"And why exactly were you able to make it back so quickly? You should have been half way to mist already. Actually, just forget about it..."

Akira figured whatever excuse Hyabusa would give, it wouldn't be a good one, so what was the point of wasting the time.

"Kiko, this little winged pest is Hyabusa."

Hyabusa looked down and saw San next to Kiko, and immediately jumped back in shock, taking to the air tpo distance himself.

"W-w-what the hell!? Why is there some...some stupid mutt here!?"

"Hyabusa, please! Sorry about him, he has a thing against dogs. Anyway, the clues I've gathered so far are that the location is south of cloud and...well. what the lady Tsuchikage just told us here. But, one of my teammates is gathering info in konoha while the other is getting all the information out of the jonin in suna. If we pool all our knowledge together, we should come up with something, hopefully..."

"I've got information from Cloud, as well as Falls and the information from Lady Tsuchikage. My team is in Konoha right now gathering info as well-I'm supposed to meet them in Suna as soon as possible. Perhaps you could escort me to Suna, and we'll trade info as we go?" Tsukiko suggested, rubbing her head lightly. She clinked her lipring lightly-she was thinking about how Tatsuya and Seika were doing....How would they find each other in Suna?
