Dysini'mbus stalked across the harsh landscape. The ground was dusty and dry, meaning he had somehow found himself in the desert style area. Prey was not plentiful there and Dysi scowled as he moved with a lazy gait. The leopard was a graceful creature, despite his somewhat awkwardness in his own body. He wasn't particularly hungry, so he wasn't disturbed by the lack of prey around him, but the lifelessness of the land annoyed him. There were a few plants and the occasional bug, but there wasn't much else.
"Stupid animals," he snarled to himself. "Can't even survive a bit of heat, lack of water and shelter. Wusses." To be honest, Dysi probably couldn't either, but that didn't stop him being irritable.

Yorath had been traveling for quite sometime, the heat was getting to him considering he hadn't had a drink in a long while. The further he had gotten the denser the land got, no animals, and plant life was non-existent almost. It would seem he had taken a wrong turn somewhere. This wasn't the place to be, this almost deadened land.
The dry air against his fur did not feel right and the hot ground was starting to bother his paws. He was about to turn around when a sound seemed to echo in the distance. His ear's perked, body stilling, he listened intently. 'Hmm, sounds male.' He let out a rumbling purr in warning to let the stranger know he was here.

A low rumbling purr alerted him to the presence of another big cat, though a quick glance around showed no immediate signs of creature. That unnerved him. Turning on his heel, he narrowed his eyes furiously as he tried to spot the other male. It had to be a male, the noise could not have been made by a female...okay, that was a lie, but it would have been a tough female.
He began to walk, trying to find who had made the noise. When he spotted the other male, he tensed. As a leopard, he was slightly smaller then the other lion, which meant he was immediately at a disadvantage, but with his luck, the male would be aggressive. "Greetings," he remarked, staying a fair distance away.

He stayed in his spot, tail twitching, until the other made himself known which did not take long at all. The leopard came closer and Yorath noticed his interesting coloring; white, blue and pink? Hm, it seemed to suit him though. He do not look to threatening but then again appearances can be deceiving.
He noticed the others tense posture and space between them which cautioned him a little bit, after all one had to be care when dealing with others at times. "Ah, greetings as well brother-leopard, what brings you here in this wasteland?"

The other male was dark coated, which made Dysi more nervous, though he made a point to not show it. Not only wad Dysi now smaller but he was more femininely coloured. He did not have good luck with larger males, not with his colours.
"I was walking," Dysi explained, eyeing him suspiciously. Was he trying to get the upper hand, checking if he had backup or something? "I didn't realise I had walked so far until I was here." He had a habit of drifting out when he was walking, caught up in his own thoughts. "And you? What are you doing out here?"

Yorath listened to the words that were being told to him and then he nodded. " Ah walking you say? Hmm must be hard in this awful weather, blasted sun won't stop beaming down on us." He used his paw to swipe at the dry dirt on the ground, an everyday habit he had when talking or nervous. "I was quite honestly trying to find my way back to a more greener, livelier place. I somehow found my way here, which happens to me sometimes when I am deep in thought or distracted. In which case is not really good is it?" Yorath paused his rambling to much. " My name is Yorath pleasure to meet you. What is your name?"
He did not want to scare off this new acquaintance, he seemed like an interesting fellow. He let out a yawn, the heat making him sleepy. " Where is your herd? How come you are alone?"

He listened to the other male talk with quiet bemusement. He talked a lot, he decided, before he decided to response. He inclined his head, "yes, I have had much better to walk in before. Are you lost?" He knew the male had wandered off, since he had just told him, but was he actually lost or could he find his own way back. Dysi was used to this part of the lands, wandering in every once in a while. He supposed he could lead the other male back, if he really needed to. "My name is Dysini'mbus," Dysi announced, "but call me Dysi. Pleased to meet you." It was a mere formality. No one called Dysi by his full name anymore and he wasn't really that 'pleased' to meet the other male, but politeness was strange like that.
"Herd?" He repeated, amused. "I have no herd. I am alone because I have chosen it. Why are you alone?" Technically that wasn't true. Dysi was alone because his sisters and mother were gone. He was alone because he had no one else. It wasn't his choice, but he wasn't going to tell the other male that.

" Lost? " Yorath paused. " No, not really. Just not from around here is all. I am taking my time and exploring and nice to meet you Dysi. Interesting name, do you know what it means?" Yorath felt somewhat awkward and aggressive being near the other male but I guess it was because they were on unclaimed territory. He almost smacked himself when he said herd, realizing the foolishness of his wording. " Well, I am alone because I choose to be too. I thought it was time for me to go out and search for a pride of my own and to start my own family."

"Sunset Halo," Dysi told the male, a little embaressed of what his name meant. It was a rather girly name, he knew, but his mother had named him with love, so he was not ashamed of the meaning. He simply knew that it was not a manly name, but then again, neither was his pelt.
"Start your own family?" Dysi asked, sounding a little amused but smiled slightly. "Well, I wish you luck with your adventure then. May you find a family to settle with." He inclined his head to the male.
The male was leaving it seemed, and Dysi was rather surprised at the abrupt nature of the conversation, but it was not a bad thing, he realised, nodding. He preferred to keep moving. "Goodbye Yorath. Travel well," he told him, and watched the male leave, before turning slightly, changing his course and continuing on his way, a direction different from the other male's.

Looking back at Dysi with a hint of smile on his face, " Interesting meaning my friend and yes a family of my own. There comes a time in a males life where a female companion is more than welcome. Whether to provide cubs or company, it would be a lovely thing to have." Clearing his throat Yorath realized he was burning daylight and time waited for no lion.
"Well I guess I should be on my way as well then, as you probably want to be on yours." He gave a cautious nod and with a flick on his tail. Turning around one last time he said over his shoulder,
"May love and laughter light your days, and warm your heart and home. May good and faithful friends be yours, wherever you may roam. May peace and plenty bless your world with joy that long endures. May all life's passing seasons bring the best to you and yours!" And with that Yorath took his journey onward into the plain.
