He sighed as he flopped down in his usual thinking spot. Things had been so dull lately. There wasn't even anything fun to think about really. At least not any more. He'd thought about it all. The males seemed to have gotten less and less visits from the females so they really had nothing left to do. The only interesting things was when the two females came to get the white male, which was odd, to make him raise his cubs.
He had no idea why they'd want a male like that. He wasn't even the right color. Ah well. They must have had their reasons. Genetics perhaps.
Sighing again he rolled over onto his back. If only he had someone to talk to ...

His brow lofted slightly as he heard movement nearby, pushing himself up as he stretched out before making his way towards it. Movement meant something and something was anything beyond the usual. It had been so dull lately; not that he minded, of course. It gave him more time to contemplate and reflect. "Hmm..." He peered around the other side of the tree, a slight smirk curving his lips as he caught sight of another male. "Hello, there."

He opened an eye when he heard a voice. "Kipaku ..." He hadn't expected to see the purple male. Though reflecting for a moment he should have since he was the one who'd shown the other male this place and it's solitude.
'You've gotten big"

His soft smirk easily blossomed into a bit of a foolish grin as he tilted his head, a lock of mane falling across his face. "I hope I haven't gotten so big that there's no room for me to join you here... I'd be horribly saddened, you know." He leaned in closer to the other male.

He wiggled slightly so there was more room on the soft grass for the other male. "No, of course not. My thoughts don't take enough physical space for them to get in your way."
He enjoyed the younger males company at least. He was quiet when they both wanted it and if he wasn't he always had something interesting to say.

He waited until the other male had shifted enough to make room for him and then, instead of curling up in that space, he settled down against him, head resting against the other male's shoulder. "You've been thinking about a lot, then? Or is it not all that much, just more of it?" His brow lofted slightly, gold eyes seeking out the other male's.

"I am thinking of much and yet nothing." He turned his head slightly so he could look at the other male. There is so little to think of lately. Things have been so boring that i almost feel like i have thought of everything."
He sighed deeply. "I was, when you came, thinking of how the females seem to have not come by lately. The last i saw came for a white male ... which is odd"

"Some females have strange tastes... But who are we to question them?" His brow lofted slightly as he watched his friend for a moment before closing his eyes as he settled into the comfortable contemplation. "Are you that eager to please them, friend, or do you just miss having younger boys about to bring on new questions and contemplations?"

"I am not questioning them. Just finding it odd. They were for a time so eager." The change had just left an impression on his head. At the other question he shook his head. "I miss the cubs. Though non have been as questioning and contemplative as you." He nudged the others head with his.

"It -is- odd, but I'm sure that they had their reasons, just as they all do when they come calling for us." He returned the light bump of heads, adding a slight nuzzle to his. He always enjoyed the comfort of the other male's company. "You just wait and see... Soon one of them will come for you. I bet you'll give her beautiful cubs; strong, bright daughters... Well behaved sons..."

"They always have reasons. I would just like to understand them some times." He laughed softly as he thought about it. The females were odd but they were to be listened to.
"What if they come for you instead though? One of the clans likes your color. I am sure you will be popular with them." He nodded

"They'll notice you before they notice me, Swafi. You're so bright... And kind. I blend in with the surroundings." He grinned, opening one eye to peer at his friend. "They'll choose me when the goddess wills it to be so. I'm not all that worried about it, really. It means I get to spend more time here with you and the others."

"You do not." he nudged the other. "I am bright but those that like my color i am related to. Doesn't do much good." he laughed softly as he leaned against the other male. "You're kind too. I'm sure the females would adore you if they spoke to you"

"The ones who would admire my coat aren't permitted to speak to me... So I've heard. At least not about the things that we speak of." He tilted his head slightly so that he could catch his friend's ear between his teeth, giving it a playful tug as he pawed at him. "I think I'll stick with speaking with you... And the others, of course, unless someone else comes by who wishes to speak with me."

"No ... they wouldn't be able to speak to you." He shook his head. He remembered that the females of the purple liking clans were not allowed to speak to males at all unnless it was about babies. He laughed and batted back at the other as his ear was tugged on. "I do enjoy speaking to you"
