Personally, the PS2 is my favorite console at the moment. But once I get L4D 1+2, the 360 might just become my new fav.

For one reason.
Choice.
There are so many different kinds of games, and within each genre, there are so many different choices.
Then there is the fact that the 360 pad is a hell of alot easier too handle than the PS3's and I think the NXE interface is easier and more pleasing too the eye than any other.
It may not be as powerful, or have the spiffy BlueRay, but the 360 is; in my opinion, the better console for gaming.

PS3.
One word:
Internet.
I hate to be a cheapass, but I'll take my free online any day. That, and I don't have to deal with as many prepubescent kids screaming about how my Battle Rifle is overpowered and I should stop shooting them in the head because I'm a "hacker".
Mind you, free online and being able to play games with more than 16 players id nice too, not to mention Resistance 2 the first console game (As far as I know) to have 60 player online, and then MAG having 256 player online.
Don't get me wrong, the 360 is a great system, but I much prefer my sleek black bluray player to RROD.

I've always found my PS3's net too be very glitchy though.
Might just be my connection.
But hey!
I agree with you that it is a GREAT system.

Honestly the differences between the systems is the controller and the internet now. I grew up with the Playstation controller, I prefer it. I don't wish to spend money on top of my internet to play online with 12 year olds. I own both consoles but the PS3 is my pick. The 360 is alright, but it's exclusives don't interest me and I grew up with the PS controller so I feel better using it.
I've heard a lot of crap from Microsoft die hards that the 360 is more powerful and the PS3 is harder to work with, has longer loads, graphically inferior. But I don't care, I'm having fun with it and that's all that matters.

Well, I was neglecting my Xbox 360 for a while, but, I just recenty got Batman: Arkham Asylum, X-men Origins Wolverine, Brutal Legend, and, Wet and they are all great games, so, for now, go Xbox!

I'm a pc gamer personally. But when I'm messing around I play ps2.
Traveling of course I play ds, but eh

An Angels Melody Well, I was neglecting my Xbox 360 for a while, but, I just recenty got Batman: Arkham Asylum, X-men Origins Wolverine, Brutal Legend, and, Wet and they are all great games, so, for now, go Xbox! All those games are on the PS3 as well.....

One massive plus for 360:
The controllers are amazingly ergonomic, except for the bumpers. Otherwise, almost everything feels right in your hands.
But, like Sam, I prefer the classic-ness of the PS3 controller. I grew up playing Crash Bandicoot back when controllers didn't have analog sticks, let alone rumble capabilities.
And Halo is fun, but once again, kids. Shrill voices. Lack of descended testicles. etc, etc..
360ers can say the PS3 has no games, but the PS3 has lots of the same games that the 360 has.
Also, almost all of the 360s games also have computer versions, therefore having no actual exclusiveness.
I may just be a PS3 fanboy, but player capacity, not having to spend money to be able to access something i already pay to access -cough-internet-cough-, exclusiveness, and possibly the aspect of nostalgia is what sets the PS3 in the "favourite system" slot for me.

Another massive plus the 360 has is backwards compatibility. But since I can't even think of an Xbox game that I'd like to play again that isn't already outdated or on Live Arcade it kind of loses that for me.

( I've really been neglecting it ;^; ) ...I'll always be with you*~ Protip: L4D on the xbox 360 has the DLC, but you have to pay for it. I would highly recommend you get it for the PC if you have a decent rig.

Each console has it's own strengths and weaknesses.
I think the only thing that can make me play my PS3 again, is if they remake FFVII.
Although it is HIGHLY unlikely, I can still dream.

I do enjoy the 360 because, despite the games, I love playing 1v100 with my mates... Sad I know :'(
But megadrive was just awesome. It is the best. Ancient sonic games ftw?
