I've been wondering to buy some FF games. but so far, i got FFX-2, FFVII, and FFIX.
So what is the best game to buy?
Dont tell me its FFXII cuz ITS NOT OUT YET..soon...

personmally, i'm all for the older versions of the game; from 3 forward to 7 then 9 and maybe 10

Ah, how old are you and do you have any older siblings?
I do have older siblings, 7 & 8 yrs older than me actually. They helped me love the old games.
Especially Chrono Trigger heart it has 16 different endings heart

x_KiraYamato_x lol i personally dont like the old versions. they are kinda old.. old versions? don't you mean the older games? What's wrong with you? o.o... the older games... rocked! At least they had an interesting story line. And the characters were actually well developed instead of just well drawn. The new ones seem all about the art, the old ones chad flavor! they had pizazz *should not have used that word, but did* in short... THEY ROCKED though i admit... i have only played 1 and 6... but still! they couldn't have sucked too badly in between o.o... right? either way! 8 is very good too... mmm... VIII... that's all ^_^

^tyr put it quite well. the old FF games were fantastic. they are still the very essence of FF.
if you are planning on getting one, i'd personally say VII or VIII, because those are probably my two favorite. FFX is really good for ppl who are new to FF though....

I'd have to say FFVIII was my favorite. I love FFVIII because the it's so different from the other ones. For once the main character DOESN'T HAVE BLONDE HAIR!!!! And it's based on a different theme than the others are (for the most part, I believe). It's so underrated, though. I don't see why....

Quehal I'd have to say FFVIII was my favorite. I love FFVIII because the it's so different from the other ones. For once the main character DOESN'T HAVE BLONDE HAIR!!!! I don't see why.... finally! people who understand smile most people i talk to seem to think that 8 sucked for one reason or another... >.<... i loved the game! First FF i think I actually beat too >.> <.<... yup... only 130+ hours or so... not too bad for me. *has ALOT of free time and nothing better to do with than explore every little detail of games...*

Chrono Trigger is good. but the older games has sucky graphics if you know what i mean.! FFX-2 has nice graphics.

FF7 has block for graphics but very good story and gameplay.
FF8 will get you getting up every morning to play.
FF9 is okay, but I dont like it as much.
FF10 is very good cause of voices and everything.
FFX-2 not as good as FF10 but a continuation of it.
FF6 is very good but I have only played the Supernintendo version.
Has played FF5 and below but too lazy to type and you probably woulnt get them anyway.

Final Fantasy IV ADvance. It's the Japan version so it's pretty different than FFII (North America Version).
