Oh geez. This would take me days. The intarweb is really really bad about Wicca.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Wicca.com drives me bonkers, in its' entirety. Wicca isn't celtic. Paganism is automagically witchcraft, or Celtic. Witchcraft isn't always Pagan.
Only two of the 'council' that run a site that basically SELLS WICCA, claim to be Wiccan. They are not initiates of any tradition, so it's not even a valid claim. There's no actual Wicca at the site....so the URL is more than a bit misleading.
You have the gamut - really stupid generalizations, bad research, cultural misappropriation - it's New-Age wannaWicca blender spirituality. I wish the site had died when its' original owner and maintainer passed on - it at least could have faded away and let something more valid take its' place. Instead now it's become a shrine of misinformation, in his memory. Blargh.

Witchvox? Pretty craptacular, since they have no standard set for the articles they accept - it's about as reliable as Wikipedia. I actually have an entire group of posts on my LJ called "WTF,
Witchvox?".

I'll stop now, but Jeebus! This is sadly not an unusual occurence for Witchvox - my own collection of commentary on these things goes back to 2005.

this site's been around since I first got online in the mid-90's, and it's still total garbage. Heavy on the 'Wicca is Celtic' nonsense, and a lot of the usual eclectic neo-pagan stuff, with Wicca slapped on it as a mislabel.
I particularily 'love' her Traditions page where she talks about the Frosts, and that somehow it's possible for a person to be BTW without lineage to Gardner. But hey, she also thinks Bucky's Big Blue Book o' Wicca is a good source.
I would personally like to slap 'Joelle', hard across the face, for the sheer number of people she's misled and misdirected.
Combine the fact that early in the Intarweb's boom, Wicca.com and this site were the two largest, and most frequented websites available...you can understand why there's so much crap floating around out there. Those sites are probably responsible for transporting all the BS info from a lot of crap books, directly online for further dissemination.

Like I said, I could probably be here all day.
