 The sound of nervous noises could be heard coming from the plains as the gazelles and zebras dances away from the treeline in skittish manner, sensing something malicious lurking in the trees watching them and judging them to see which one shall die today. One male gazelle suddenly broke free from the protective huddle which caused the terrified stampede due to an innocent zebra foal snapping a twig unwittingly.
Amused blue-green eyes indeed appears among the tree-bound foliage watches the nervous prey-animals prance around and suddenly broke out into stampede due to a little one's folly. "Hm.. I wonder.." The female murmurs as she slowly stretches her front legs out in front of her while stretching her body with her rump sticking in the air. She moves toward the trunk with her tail flicking low to the 'ground' while she descends down the tree with few careful and measured leaps. "Who will die tonight, I wonder..." The female purrs while she trots after a lagging herd of zebras.

 Ariikdasa was watching from her own spot, crouched down in the grass so she would no be seen. licking her muzzle, she almost went for the male gazelle when it suddenly broke free from its herd. inching forward slowly, she wanted to get the hunt over with so she could get rid of her hunger. green eyes narrowed as the scent of a leopard caught her attention. growling softly, she did not like the fact there was another probably hunting like she was. staying still now, she laid in wait for her opportunity to get her own meal and hopefully not get interrupted.

A zebra stumbled and fell to the ground with a terrified scream when rest of its herd mates just rushed on without stopping to help it or surround it for defense/protection. Zavannah makes a soft 'tch' noise as her trotting slows to lazy prowl when she witnessed the zebra's fall but her entire body froze like a statue when she heard a soft growl. Her red ears swivels around as she tries to pinpoint the direction of the sound as her eyes narrows little bit with her pupils dilated. Curling one side of her muzzle upward, revealing a long lethal fang in a wordless warning to anybody who is watching her, Zavannah moves her head in the general direction of a lioness.
Her nose crinkles up in distaste as she smells the scent of a lion and she brings her body really low to the ground, 'slithering' toward the fallen zebra inch by inch while keeping an watchful eye in the direction she suspect the lion or lioness is laying in wait for her to make a kill to swoop down to steal it from her.

Ariikdasa almost leaped into action when the zebra fell but she kept her distance. licking her muzzle again, it as hard to control the urge to attack the weak zebra. snarling softly, she finally just gave into her instincts and went for the fallen pray. the prey was not too far from her reach or so she though as she went to keep it from making its get away. claws extended, she went in for the kill but because she had hesitated before, the zebra made its get away before she could close the distance between them. skidding to a halt and breathing heavily after chasing the zebra down with no luck, her ears where pinned back with anger now because of her failure.

Zavannah didn't jump when a red lioness sprang out of nowhere, trying to chase down the weak zebra but failing in the hunt which brought a smug smirk on the leopardess' face. "This definitely makes my day more better and better." Zavannah murmurs as she didn't budge from her position near some patches of tall grass. Her blue-green eyes glitters with malicious amusement as she finally moves away from her own 'hiding place' toward the herd of zebras.
"Tell you what. If I catch this zebra, we could share." The leopardess smirks at the lioness, feeling quite smug in the fact that leopards are better at hunting than lions are (well in HER opinion).

"go ahead and try if you want." Ariikdasa grumbled at the female leopard. she highly doubt that this female could now catch that zebra when it already took off running. wrinkling his muzzle in annoyance, she would be even more pissed if she was shown up but then again she will have a laugh if this female also failed. watching the still running zebra, oh she would wait to see this female leopard fail miserably and damn it she would have a good laugh since she seemed so cocky.

Shooting the female a 'oh really?' look, Zavannah eyes the running zebras and frowns slightly. If she attempts to take a zebra down, she will sustain some injuries which is an automatic death in the wild so it is a huge and unnecessary risk for her. "They are prepared for us now." The female quietly says mostly to herself as she rolls her eyes, trotting toward the stampeding herd taking her time.
Her ears flattens against her skull as she suddenly broke out into full-out sprint toward a straggler that is limping behind the stampeding herd. Swiping at the straggler's hind legs with her front paws, Zavannah valiantly tries to trip the zebra so she could pounce on it and snap its neck. But she wasn't paying attention to creatures around her and the mother zebra slammed into the leopardess with her hooves flying, trying to crush Zavannah into the ground.(rolled the dice in here. If I got even number, she would have got the zebra. If I got odd number, she would have missed and get injured in some way. And she missed)

Ariikdasa was having a good laugh as she noticed Zavannah was having a very hard time getting the zebra that she had been so confident that she could get. as she watched, her ears pinned back as it seemed that Zavannah was in more trouble than she bargained for. snarling to herself, she raced over and gave a loud roar to get the zebra to flee. at worst she was prepared to rip the zebra apart which she wouldn't mind doing.

Zavannah screeches as her body twisted and her tail whip-lashed around when she tries to scramble away out of the hooves' range but the hoof connected with her shoulder. The female emits a loud yowl as she swipes at the fleeing zebra while she tries to get up, glowering little bit at the fleeing herd. "Hm.." She frowns slightly at the female who came to her assistance while she unsteadily rises up on her paws, swaying little bit since one of hooves obviously connected with her head.
"...." The female stonily stares at Ariikdasa for few seconds before she clumsily sits down on her hunches so she could lick at her wounds. "You didn't have to help me. I would have gotten those bastards on my own." She says raspily as she breathes heavily, watching Arrikdasa. "But... thanks." She tries to offer the female a smile but the effort put into smiling hurts her so she settled for a partial smirk.

"yeah well its no fun to watch someone get killed because of a challenge." grumbling some, she was pleased that the leopard female seemed to be alright despite what happened. "by the way whats your name anyways?" sitting down, she curled her tail around her legs as she sat. "my name is Ariikdasa." figuring it was polite to at lest exchange names now since the challenge was over.

"Heh. That's true." Zavannah murmurs as she examines her own body to see if anything is broken by stretching one limb out experimentally then repeat with other limb until she is satisfied that everything is still in working order. "I am fine.. just bruised and banged up." The female grunts as she slowly tries to stand up once again so she could really CONFIRM that she is not going to die due to the undue injuries.
"...Zavannah here. Its nice... to meet you." She breathes heavily as she winces as she tries to walk around Ariikdasa and she shot the lioness a baleful glare in warning. She never gotten along with a lion before and that is not going to start right now. Zavannah takes in a deep breath as she sits back down on her hunches in front of Arrikdasa. "We can work together... and try to get something to eat" She tries to get the raspiness out of her voice.

" you got lucky with just bruises and getting bit banged up instead of worse Zavannah." Arrikdasa flicked her tail, as she eyed Zavannah who seemed to not trust her at all from the looks of it. "i usually like to hunt alone." she gave a small chuckle. "plus i wonder if we would have any luck in hunting anything right now anyways." eyeing the sky, it was slowly becoming evening time and Arrikdasa liked to hunt during the day instead of the evening or night time.

"All because you came in just at the right time." Zavannah mutters as she eyes Arrikdasa with a slight smile while her tail flicks back and forth lazily, not sure what to do right now. "Me too. No hassle of having to communicate with others to make sure we bring down the prey." She smirks faintly at the female. Her blue-green eyes looks up at the darkening skies as she murmurs softly, "Well we do have one more chance before we have to retreat for the night." She winces as she tries to shrug her shoulders.
"On other thought, maybe you should hunt alone and I will just.." Zavannah rolls her eyes as she hates the fact that she sounds kinda weak right now. "Go back home and rest." She mumbles as she stands up with a silent groan when her body throbs painfully.

"well it might be a hassle but lets take a little risk and try one last hunt then." giving a chuckle, Arrikdasa usually wasn't one for risks but since it was somewhat her fault that Zavannah got hurt. standing up and stretching, she figured she might as well make things right before heading off on her way for the night. "unless you really want to not eat before resting."

Zavannah watches Arrikdasa with surprise in her eyes and she grunts when she walks gingerly toward the lioness. "Are you sure you want to hunt before the night comes upon us?" Zavannah eyes the female with wary curiosity. "If so, then I insist on coming and help with the hunt. I just need to walk this off anyway." She grins dryly at her. "Its always wise to go to bed with full stomach so you will have energy to defend your terrority throughout the night." She murmurs softly while she watches the gazelles whom is stupidly grazing nearby.
