Edit: Due to difficulty that I can't exactly explain, the main hunter is dropped. Humans see the world as it is, and sometimes they don't look beyond what they see. That's what Tenyou Ranpa sees so far in his first thousand years of living. During the day, the Star Angels, including Tenyou, would fly to Earth and choose someone or something to protect while the Angels of Night rest and the High One lights the world as the sun. At night, the Star Angels sleep and light the world as tiny stars while the Angels of Night protect those that are awake at night. This was how it was, and how it had always been... until one terrible night when Tenyou was mistaken as a bird and shot in the wing as he was returning to the sky, causing him to fall back to the Earth below.
A lonely firefly with the brightest light named ~A~ had fallen in love with a star that he couldn't reach. All he remembered was seeing a boy with wings flying up to the sky one sunset to become the star that the firefly loved. Other fireflies would think he was crazy and needed love, and many suitors, all of which were ignored, would try to get his attention. When ~A~ finds the star that he loved didn't appear one night, he decides to go to sleep and wait for the next night, but once he enters his home the boy he saw before is there.
There are Angel Hunters, like ~B~, who have tried capturing angels for about half a millenium since the first angel was spotted. The hunters plan to study an angel and figure out which part of them was valuable. So far, they have decided to go after the pure white wings. For all those years the hunters have been unsuccessful, and the closest any of them got to catching an angel was ~B~'s great great grandfather who had once used a net to catch a cherub who had managed to escaped with the help of his friend.
What will ~A~ do with the fallen star? Will he try to take him back home? Or will he keep the star? How will Tenyou cope with staying with the firefly? What will the two of them do with a hunter on the loose very near where they are? Look Into the Light They call me: Tenyou Ranpa I look this age: 16 (actually 1000 years old) Brightest Light: Clouds, colors, blue stars, soft objects, air, trees, flowers, sweets, conversations with other angels Dimmest Light: Screams, spicy things, scary stories, nothing to do, nightmares, war, density of the mind Position from North Star: Under My light: Tenyou was found alone as a child and because the High One pitied him he was turned into an angel. Now he looks up to the High One for advice and knowledge, both of which he would often use to help him and others. Whenever he gets in trouble he would apologize repeatedly until either the person tells him to stop or he feels he's apologized enough. Being innocent and naïve, he is often curious about the world he has to protect and his curiosity often gets him in trouble. At one point he was discovered by many humans and now there are angel hunters in the world, but they all have yet to succeed in catching an angel.Behind the light: Constellation: BLacKeMoSAdneSS They call me: Sora Kyuuketsuki I look this age: 17 Brightest Light: Reading, catching angels, drawing, dark rooms, adventure Dimmest Light: Loud or sudden noises, being called names, getting shown up, extremely bright lights Position from North Star: Seke My light: Sora's great great grandfather more or less started their family obsession with catching angels. Sora's great grandfather, his grandfather, and his father were all very well-known for their craft, and Sora would like nothing more than to follow in their footsteps. Being greatly annoyed one day, he saw what he took to be a bird and shot at it, just to see it was actually a boy, and an angel no less. Now he is looking for it, trying to claim the prize that he "captured". He was born an odd one, he thought more about things that others and is quiet for the most part. He detests violence, and loves being outside at night. Behind the light:

It had been yet another sunset of yet another day watching the Creatures of the Light that the Star Angels had to fly back to the sky. Tenyou Ranpa, a thousand-year-old angel with pure white wings and chocolate brown hair and eyes, had stayed a minute too long making sure a few tadpoles made it through the day. The smallest was the slowest and Tenyou had to watch it, so he had been yet a minute late. Once the tadpole made it home, Tenyou immediately took to the skies and tried catching up to the angels.
Suddenly, a loud shot rang out and a searing pain pierced through Tenyou's right wing. Almost immediately he was losing altitude, the sky growing farther and farther away. He shouted to the other angels for help, but by the time they turned around, he was too dangerously far from the sky for them to catch him. His back soon hit something solid and then all went black.

Hikaru, Fenleigh Fenleigh was out by the hill, watching the sky dreamily, as always, thinking about the star again. That light....
"...What...the...?" Fenleigh blinked, seeing one of the stars fall...
And flew over, taking on the form of the firefly as he did when he flew, before shaking the form off on land, it was a boy.
A boy had fallen from the sky....
He blinked, the boy was beautiful...
But he wondered if he was hurt...
His unconscious expression seemed in pain....
He made a decision, and brought the boy with wings home.
Maybe it was one of the bird people, flying too high again, he thought, as he tucked the boy in bed, and started to make some food, and heated a pot, making something herbal, nice and soothing, in case the other needed something to feel better...

Brown eyes opened and Tenyou found himself in an unfamiliar place. Where was he? He couldn't have been caught by one of those angel hunters, right? Tenyou examined the room, and then he moved his arms. There was nothing related to the tools that he saw angel hunters use, so maybe he wasn't caught. In that case, what in the world is this place?
As Tenyou tried to sit up, he felt the pain again in his right wing and he was forced to lay back down. What happened to it? Why did it hurt so much? He tried to remember what had happened last night. Oh, right. The tadpole was late in getting home, and so he was late in returning to the sky. Then there was a gunshot and a bullet hit his wing and he fell, so how did he end up here? Perhaps the person responsible for the wound had decided to take care of him until he could fly again? Or probably he was in the house of a different person? The only way to know is to ask his unknown caretaker.

Hikaru, Fenleigh Just then, Leigh walked in, holding a tray of steamy food, and saw him, "Oh, you're awake!" he smiled softly, as he passed through a section of the room lit by the night sky.
He put the tray down on the side table beside his bed -the one Tenyou just happened to be using at the moment.
"Are you ok?" he asked, smiling kindly, as he felt the other's forehead with his own, "Hmn... Still a little warm..." he murmured, the moved away smiling consolingly, "But that's ok, we'll have you all fixed up soon," he said...

Tenyou looked at the strange person skeptically, blushing when their foreheads met. The person didn't look or act like any of the angel hunters he had seen before, but he had heard of spies, apprentices, and such. Angel hunters nowadays seemed to try everything they can think of and teach as many people as they can just to get an angel, but luckily they haven't caught any at all, and he was thankful for that. The problem was, what if this seemingly kind person was one of them? It was quite a chance that he wasn't, but Tenyou had to be sure...
"Wh-who are you?" he asked with a stutter. "Are you a... a hunter?" He felt a bit guilty for asking such questions, but experiences and advices from the High One told him not to immediately trust anyone. Why, he had a friend who got caught in one of the nets once. It was fortunate, oh so fortunate, that Tenyou was there to help him get free or else the hunter would have caught up to them and then Tenyou would have been forced to leave.
His wings, even the injured one, twitched with some kind of anticipation, as if he wanted to get out. For some reason, he didn't want to leave, though his conscience was pushing him to just get off the bed and sprint away. It took nearly all his will to keep him from doing that, since it may increase his chance of getting caught by actual hunters and he won't be able to fly back home anyway.

Sora was running through the trees, some of the tall grass cutting at his leg. His gun was still clutched in his hand, which he knew was not good. Running with a gun was like running while holding the metal part of a knife. It could hurt you if you hit something.
But he didn't care, there was something that he was looking for. He had shot down a bird, a slightly shining bird, but when it fell, it looked as if the animal had changed forms. Instantly, he ran after it, since it was no ordinary bird, that was for sure. It shone brightly, like a star.
The thoughts were running through his head. How could he possibly think that that star was a bird in the first place? He saw a slightly shimmering light fade suddenly, and with a last surge of energy, dashed toward the spot. He stopped behind a tree, watching the scene unfold in front of him. There was an angel, laying on the ground with a hole in its wing.

Hikaru, Fenleigh "Hmn?" he blinked, tilting his head slightly, and smiled, "No, I don't really know any hunters, nor am I one..." he said.
"Oh, and my name is Fanleigh, Fenleigh Hikaru," he said, "I'm a Firefly," he said smiling still, though softly.
"Though I'm not sure how you ended up near my home, Mr. Bird," he said, assuming that Tenyou was a bird due to his wings.
"It's too bad though," he said, looking sadly at the wings, "But it looks like you won't be able to fly for a while," he said.
"If you don't rest enough, you'll lose all your ability to fly," he said...
Hesitating a bit, he asked, "Can I... ask your name?" he asked worriedly, hoping not to insult this beautiful bird (For that was what he had assumed he was).

Tenyou didn't bother to tell the firefly that he was, in fact, not a bird, but an angel. He knew that it was best to keep his true race a secret. If the kind firefly decides to think of him as a bird, then let it be so.
"I'm Tenyou Ranpa," he said. "I'm a... a dove." Yes, a dove would be the right bird. They had white, angelic wings. They were peaceful and delicate. The angels back home had told him that they were like human versions of doves, so he could possibly pretend to be one until he could get home.
"Anyway, thank you for your hospitality, Fenleigh," Tenyou said. "I really appreciate that you would take your time to take care of me for now." His wing moved a little, as if in a self-warning, but he ignored it. He couldn't help but completely trust this Fenleigh person, since he did save the angel from any wandering hunters that could have possibly found him unconscious.

Sora hissed in annoyance as he trudged back towards the camp. In fact, the boy hadn't been an angel at all. Just a stupid kid with some contraption that looked like wings who had blasted a hole through it. Sora wasn't sure if he himself had actually blasted that hole, or if the child had done it himself. Whatever the reason, he was ashamed.
He wiped his hand across his face, ignoring the pain that shot up his arm. Using an angel gun was like taking a knife and slicing part of your arm open. It was a painful weapon to use. What were the others going to say when they saw him? They were going to know that he had used a bullet, everybody checked everybody's gun every night. They were going to ask, and he was going to have to tell them that he had mistaken a boy with a flying contraption for an angel. How stupid was that?

Tenyou froze and his wings twitched as he sensed a terrifying presence nearby. The presence reminded him very much of a hunter, but he couldn't be sure until he went to investigate, which he definitely didn't want to do and he was sure the firefly wouldn't want him to get up from the bed anyway. Instead, he stayed where he was and hoped dreadfully for the unwelcome presence to go away.
Once the presence did disappear, Tenyou felt himself relax. He was so relieved that the possible hunter didn't manage to find him. Well, it wasn't like humans could expect to find an angel in the home of an animal. From what he had been observing of the human race, a lot of them were usually ignorant of any change or discovery unless a large crowd was worked up about it. It had been going on for thousands of years, or so he heard from the elder angels, so there wasn't much of a chance that things would change this century.

imgleft]http://i486.photobucket.com/albums/rr229/SarukaReina/BstarRS.gif[/imgleft] Hikaru, Fenleigh "Yenyou... Ranpa..." he murmured to himself, and smiled at him, his eyes as dreamy looking as alway, "A Dove... I've never met a Dove before..." he commented softly, tilting his head slightly, "It's no problem, really," he said a little shyly
"It gets kind of lonely out here, though the scenery is beautiful," he said, as he looked up at the night sky, smiling his soft little smile.
He turned a little, tilting his head quizzically at Ranpa's expression.
"What's wrong, Ranpa?" he asked, "Does your wing hurt?" he asked...
He frowned slightly, perhaps he had bound the wound too tight...?

"Oh, it's nothing," Tenyou answered, guilty that he had worried the kind firefly. "My wing hurts, but that isn't what I'm concerned about. I just thought I sensed danger somewhere. There are... poachers that are after my kind, that's all." He was skeptical about whether or not he should tell Fenleigh about the angel hunters, so he would have to once again lie.
He wanted to trust the firefly, he really did, but it was very dangerous to trust someone you just met. After all, suppose the person suddenly changes and something terrible happens, then what would he do? There would be nothing he could do.
