nessiaing:
Kona had risen early yesterday she had caught the familiar sent, the sent that she was sure was what belonged to her beloved cheetah, the cheetah that she had been searching all these years for. She was moving quickly today looking very hard in ever place she thought a full grown cheetah might be.
She moved ver so elegently in the tall grasses that she was looking through, more allert then she had ever been, particularly in the last few months of looking the looking had been very hard on her little body and she often felt her age.
Randy:
Corbin, a young kilpspringer was on a similar mission. He had lost his family a long time ago and was on a mission to refind his mother. When he was younger he'd been taken in by a female lion, raised by her, and well treated but now he was away from her. Completely on his own without anyone to protect him from predators. His ears twitched a few times as he made his sway, swinging his horns to side to side in nervousness. He stilled in the grass, snorting as he was sure he heard something.
What was that?
He caught sight of a flash of color in the brush. "...Hello?"
nessiaing:
Kona paused when she heard another voice, it was a male voice so she knew well enough that it wasn't the cheetah that she was looking for. She turned all about looking for the body that belonged to the voice, she finally stopped spinning her eyes resting on a grey klipspringer.
"Why hello there" she greeted in a very motherly voice. She had a warm smile on her face, she enjoyed meeting others, even more so now that she knew she was on the right track to finding her missing companion.
Randy:
Starting to relax, he trusted females more then males, and she was being nice. He pushed himself to bounce a tad closer, still cautious. "A friend...? Not... not a meal?" He asked making sure her intentions were good.
His ears flattened. "Ah... Corbin. My name is Corbin... I'm looking for my mother."
nessiaing:
Kona chuckled, "Yes I am confident in the fact that I am just looking for a friend, I am not hungry, not to mention that I dont make small chat with my meals." she told him, meaning the last part as a joke.
"Its nice to meet you Corbin. My name is Kona." she smiled. "You say you lost your mother? I lost my charge, my companion, I use to watch her when she was just a small cub." she smmiled thinking about her little Hetal.
Randy:
He crept closer as if driven by curiosty. The joke didn't seem to sit well with him and he swug his horns at the ground, digging into it.
"Kona...." He repeated softly as he he shifted closer. Now he was close enough and leaned himself over to sniff at one of her paws, carefully locked on her teeth. "Yes... Oh...? What happened?"
nessiaing:
"Our pride fell apart, it was sad really." Kona said thinking back to the days of her pride, "It was a great big pride, we had many members, members of ever speacies, every shape and size it was brilliant really." her face grew happier as she talked about the hayday of her pride.
"My job in the pride was to take care of one little cub in particular, my little Hetal I raised her for quite sometime, then when the pride came crumbling down around us I lost her, so now I am trying to find her, the other day I caught her scent, I am very excited I hope to find her soon." her voice became quiter at the last part, it always shamed her that she lost her charge.
Randy:
Once he was sure of his intentions his legs folded gracefully under him. "Oh? Our... uh well I guess its a pride and not a herd... is like that."
His small nub began to wag slightly. "That's good! I hope to find my mom soon. I got lost... and I don't know where she is. I'm sure your Hetal is looking for you too! I know I wanna see my mom again. How did she get lost?"
nessiaing:
"Well my dear, it was a terrible mess when the pride came to an end, creatures were everywhere and saddly I lost my little cheetah, but I do hope to find her soon." she smiled, she knew that she would be able to find the cheetah realatively soon.
"What happened to your mommy?" she asked lightly hoping not to upset what appeared to be a fragile klipspringer.
Randy:
"Cheetah...?" He lifted his head looking slightly nervous. "Are you a cheetah?" She didn't look like one. But he learned not to question the look of animals. "I'm sure you will?"
His ears fell again. "My brother got taken away by our father. I tried to follow them to bring him back but... I got lost and I couldn't find where I was. I wandered for a long time before a lionness found me. She... let me go to find my mom."
nessiaing:
"Wow you are a brave littl guy aren't you." she told him with a large smile on her face. She spennt her childhood quite sheltered. "No my dear I am not a Cheetah, I am a serval." she told him with a hint of a giggle in her voice, "I am a type of cat." she smiled glad to have straightened the issue up.
Kona's stomach let out a large growl, "I am sorry my dear but it sounds as if I must go and get some food." she smiled to him and nodded her head once, she paused for him to say goodbye back before turning to say goodbye.
Randy:
He flushed under his fur and smiled slightly. "I ... didn't think you were. Cheetahs are... my mom told me they were bigger. We're almost the same size. Its... nice to know though."
Her stomach growl made him jump back. "O-oh fo-food..." He looked the other direction wriggling his ears, curious. "I... goo-good luck...!" He calls to making sure to go the other way. "B-bye..."
