 Aditya was walking through town, small satchel hanging from her shoulder as she entered the marketplace. It was suddenly very crowded; taur of many kind were everywhere as chatter filled the air. She stopped by a particular vendor in which various females were surrounding. The wolftauress peeked, wondering what was so interesting. Various pieces of jewelry and make-up were for sale.
She picked up a bracelet that was adorned with silver and a bright yellow gem. Smiling, Aditya put it on her wrist, wanting to see how it looked on her.

 Stalking through the crowds, Nina pushed through the maze of taur bustling for their space at the stalls of the market. A sack hung at her side containing candles, assorted thread, and a bit of hard candy.
The teen wore nothing extra than her regrettably regular shirt and a knitted hat, ears poking through fitted holes in the sides, her bangs flattened and hanging slightly into her eyes. Nearly an adult now, she was determined to act as such, and handling the cold of a chill wind was one step to being a strong, independent adult.
She hit a gaggle of females crowded close to on particular stall and grumbled to herself. What use were those shiny things? Though pretty, they held no more than intrinsic value to her, which wasn't much value at all. Though, a bit of make-up was nice....

Taking off the bracelet, Aditya continued to look around. There were a gorgeous pair of earrings, but her ears weren't pierced to allow her that luxury. They were too expensive anyways. She let out a little sigh, as the bracelet was quite nice. But when would she find an occasion nice enough to wear it?
Noticing that it had gotten more crowded, Aditya decided it was best to retreat. She did her best to back out without pushing aside anyone, but a rough shove from a haughty looking centauress made her lose her balance momentarily as she fell on Nina.

Finally seeing light through the mass of females, Nina was almost free when a weight pushed her to the ground. She yelped, hands reaching out and pulling down two other females, who in turn pulled down another three. Yellow eyes wide and flicking to each disgruntled female, hearing the soft snicker of the standing ones, Nina scrambled to get to her paws, barely remembering to search for what had fallen on her. Or, who?
"Um, are you okay?" She asked the bright orange female, head down and in a hurry to get away from the stares.

As she was trying to get a grip of what had actually happened, she noticed a small domino effect seeing what she had caused. It was actually quite funny cause it was one of those things that had only happened in the small comedy skits that was sometimes performed in town. She couldn't help but laugh at what she had caused, bursting into a fit of laughter, not noticing the stares from the crowd.
"Oh. Oh yes. I-I'm alright." she managed to say through her laughter. "I hope I didn't cause you much discomfort."

Nina frowned, cheeks pink from more than the cold. She pulled her hat lower over her brow. "No, no, no, no, not really." She said, speaking quickly, eyes still darting around. She was finally able to come to the market without supervision, and look what had happened. If dad or mom heard about this....
"I have to go, um, over there." She said vaguely, watching the irritated faces of the taur trying to stand up. "Wanna come?"

"Really? I'm glad I didn't hurt you then." Aditya said after she was over her laughing fit. Getting up from the ground, she dusted herself off, and checked her satchel and the ground around her to see if she had dropped anything.
"Sure. I guess." she said, wondering where the younger taur might be going, "Though where uh...?" Aditya blinked with a small smile on her face, "I didn't get your name. What was it?"

Seeing the strange female search her satchel, Nina thought it'd be good to do the same of her own. Sure that her items were safe, she turned and headed away from the crowd. "My name? It's um, this way." She said, her mind focused more on getting away than her name, not paying much attention. Besides, she didn't want to say her name out loud after such a mess. Easier for mom and dad to find out if her name was out there.

"Alright 'This way'." Aditya grinned, following after the teen. Who knows? It might be her real name. She shouldn't be one to judge. "I'm Aditya. It's nice to meet you." she decided right now would be a bad time for a handshake or some other way of greeting.

Nina mumbled a greeting, scurrying over to the other side of a group of males who hadn't paid any attention to the ruckus before allowing herself to breath. That had been close!
Turning, she finally gave Aditya a real once-over. Once out of danger, she smiled. "I'm sorry, Aditya. I just wanted to avoid something. Those women can be testy." She pushed her hat back up in order to see clearly, her eyes bright once more. "My name's Nina." He smile became bashful. "I would say it's a pleasure, but you earned me some dirty looks back there. Why'd you fall on me in the first place?" She proved more able to talk when she wasn't faced with a threat to her integrity, or her allowances at home.

"Oh. I see." Aditya waved her hand, chuckling, "You shouldn't worry about those women over there! They're not worth your time!" the older female smiled warmly, "So it's Nina?" she held her hand out, finding a moment to greet the teen properly, as she continued to talk, "Oh! That wasn't on purpose. I'm truly sorry if I hurt you. But you see, I was making my way out of the crowd when a rather unruly female shoved me aside quite roughly. Needless to say, I didn't realize and I tripped over my paws and fell onto you." she said chuckling, feeling rather embarrassed.

Caught up in the warm smile, Nina couldn't help but return a warm smile of her own. "See? Plenty to worry about with those women." She said with a chuckle after hearing Aditya's side of the story. "No, I'm not hurt. I'm happy I could help by cushioning your fall." Shaking her head with a smirk, she plucked unconsciously at her shirt strap, an old habit.
"Are you here with anyone? I mean, if you don't mind me asking."

"Oh. Thank you. I'm sure I would've been bruised badly if you weren't there to save me." she said with a chuckle. Aditya shook her head, "Nope. I'm by myself today. And I could be asking you the same thing!"

Nina giggled, sharing the joke. It was nice, someone new to talk to.
"Me? All by myself!" She said proudly, holding up her head. "I'm almost an adult now. I can come to the market alone if I wish." Bragging slightly, and realizing it, Nina had the sensibility to lower her voice slightly. A snob, she was not, and did not want to appear as one. "My first time alone. I've been here many times before though."

Aditya laughed at the teen's eagerness, "Why that's quite a feat! Though you should keep safe!" she nodded a matter-of-factly, "Some males can get quite mean-spirited." she put her hand on Nina's shoulder, "Though I think you should be fine."
She looked around again, wondering if she needed to buy anything else, "So what're you here for? Shopping?" she asked.
