Lette:
Slinking along through the tall grass, Imara was feeling fairly curious. It had been awhile since she had felt comfortable enough to go about in the daytime, but she lent it more towards her curiosity and less towards her comfort level. Her ears swiveled around, sonaring for any movement in the surrounding area. The last thing she wanted was to be caught off guard by a larger creature.
Feeling a little safe, she crouched down, examining a flower that had crossed her path. She had never seen such a thing before, and it was too pretty to pass up. For the few moments that she stared at it and took in its scents, she was totally oblivious to all else around her.
nessiaing:
Kona was roaming, she didn't even know where to go or where to look. It was a difficult search for her, the world was a big place for a little serval to look everywhere for someone. As Kona moved through long grasses she had her nose stuck in the air, trying to catch the sent of someone, preferably the companion she was missing, it had been so long and Kona missed her.
As she moved she hear rustling, she pausd trying to decide what it sounded like, could it be a large animal, as large as a cheetah. She felt her hopes rised another creature meant the chance of finding her Hetal. "Hello?" she called out cautiously.
Lette:
Feeling startled by the sudden words of another, Imara's eyes were wide, and she could feel her heart race. Her ears were flattened back to her skull, and she twitched her head, looking for what could have gotten close to her.
Her eyes were drawn to the small figure of something that looked.....just like she did. She took a deep breath, no longer feeling threatened. She was glad it was someone of her kind, rather than a hungry predator. "H-hello." She moved her ears up, her youth returning to her face.
nessiaing:
Kona smiled when she heard the voice of the other, the smallness behind it told her that it was another serval. She turned and lookd around herself spotting the other serval in the long grass. She moved towards it confidently, she had spent so much time talk to others that she was no long nervous abotu approaching others, particularly when the others wouldn't large creatures that might eat her.
"I didn't mean to startle you, your sent just caught my nose and I thought perhaps I should say hello to you." she had a warm welcoming smile on her face.
Lette:
It was a good sign that the other was so eager to speak; it meant that there was no harm intended. Imara smiled, shaking off the initial frightened feeling. "No, it's quite alright. I should've been paying more attention." There was still much that Imara wanted to work on; her attentiveness, mainly, when she was out in the open, or at least until she felt more comfortable about being in this area.
"Though, I've never heard of someone intentionally approaching a stranger." Though it was probaly more because of how her mother raised her that kept her alien to the ways of others.
nessiaing:
Kona smiled happy that the other serval was forgiving, it was true that she had not intended to frighten her. "Out here can be scary whether you are paying attention or not. Particulalry when you are nothing more then a serval." Kona had by now grown quite a custom to living on her own and being out in the large world, intereacting with others regularly but she could understand why others would be uneasy about it.
"I guess I don't think much about approaching others, I have been doing it for years. It gets easier and easier with time." she smiled thinking about how many others she had met, and only a few times she had gotten into danger.
"You see I have been searching for my lost companion for many years, without much luck sadly." at the mention of her missing Hetal her face dropped and her eyes became wet.
Lette:
"Searching?" Imara could feel the age difference immensely now as she spoke of years. Imara was young, just recently able to escape from the prison that was her home. Having lost her first litter of kittens to a starving hyena, Imara's mother was overprotective, going as far as to not even let her grown kittens to leave the den for more then a few moments. While Imara felt a little guilty for just running away, she still doesn't regret her decision to leave.
"I've never had a companion to search for. In fact, I don't think I'd even be able to keep looking for them for so long. " Imara admired the other female's perserverance, but almost felt that it was sad that she had nothing else but to search for so long.
nessiaing:
Kona nodded, "Its not an easy thing to do." she had been aware of the agre difference between the two of them, she had gotten better at telling ages over the years. "I belonged to a pride once that was where I had my compainion she was my charge."
Kona paused feeling that her explanation wasn't good enough she sat, wanting to tell her all she could. "I was in charge of my companion in our pride, kind of like a nanny for her. I watched her grow, but one day our pride fell apart and she got seperated for me. I feel that it is now my duty to find her now and make sure she is alright. Though by this time she will be full grown."
She had a feeling that the serval before her wouldn't be much help, but she had to ask anyways, "I don't suppose you have seen a white cheetah before with blue and purple markings." she knew her discription was lacking but it have been so long since she had seen her it was hard to give anymore.
Lette:
"I don't think I could ever live in a pride." Imara thought about it, and she knew that her personality just wouldn't be able to put that much faith in so many others in a pride; it was hard for her to trust anything other than a serval.
Her eyes flicked up towards the sky, and she tried to recall who all had crossed her path. She hated to dissappoint, but Imara knew well that she hadn't met any cheetahs, not since she had left the den. One had come across the den when her mother was away once; it was male, and he had offered to take her away from all of the stresses of her home. She had turned him down, but remembering now, he had told her where she could find him later on in life.
Snapping back to where she was, her brow sagged in a sorrowful expression. "I'm sorry, but I haven't." She shook her head, sad that she couldn't help the other serval.
nessia:
Kona forced a smile upon her face, it was an answer she was use to hearing, she was really starting to wonder if Hetal was still out there somewhere. Her face might have had a smile on it but her body posture said it all, she was dissapointed and sad. "Thats OK dear, it would seem that noone has seen my darling Hetal, but I will just have to keep looking." she tried to sound chipper.
Kona mover her head and looked up at the skys wondering where she should go next, somwhere she hadn't tried, as she gazed up at the sky she got an idea, she smiled and rose to her feet. She looked at the the other serval not wanting to leave her but excited that she had had an idea, and idea that would perhapse lead her in the right direction. She turned back towards the younger serval a tell tale look on her face, it was time to go.
Lette:
"I suppose you want to continue on, then." Imara swished her tail behind her, not really caring to move from her comfortable position. She pitied the other serval, hoping that wherever she went next, there would be clues to help her find who she was looking for.
"I wish you luck, stranger." She smiled, watching the other serval before she went on her way. Imara was slightly envious, wanting herself to see as much of the world as this other serval had already. "Goodbye." She dipped her head for a moment in a final parting.
nessia:
Kona smiled glad that she understood at least to some extent. "I am sorry to go so fast and so soon, its just the sky's have given me an idea, and I do have to go before it shifts and changes" She turned to leave but stoped for a second and turned back. "I am very glad that we met, you will get use to this large world it gets easier." she told the young serval
"Goodbye." with that she turned and pranced off in the direction the skys had told her to go.
