All I can say is,

During one of my voice lessons, my director just stoped playing the piano and blurted out, "I want a Hamburger... Really, REALLY bad."

I found that hillarious. I dont know if you will.

i dunno surprised this was my first post of this guild so i thogut i make it special xd

Well, our director goes um... kinda crazy every winter... usually right around when the musicals are running, we think that's part of it, and right before winter break. This year we had a fundraiser for the music program of selling boxes of fruit. (we're a very agricultural community, orchards are a huge industry where I'm at) The boxes came with different types of apples and pears, a brochure telling you about the different kinds of apples and pears, how to pronounce their names and, according to Steighner, instructions on how to hold them. Also, because they were in a long flat box, they had a shaped peice of cardboard holding them all in place. Steighner was all excited because they included a seating chart for the fruit, so he started naming them all, and writing their names on each individual fruit's "seat". We spent and entire lunchtime sectional naming fruit. He also wouldn't tell Matt where he put the box because "You might kidnap Meghan."

The last day before winter break, he decided to read us a story. It was a picture book that he bought while we were in England last spring, and a bunch of people jumped up and ran down to the front of the room to sit on the floor around him. As he's reading, he's of course playing the good children's librarian part and showing us the pictures when someone who was still sitting in their seat complained that they couldn't see. He glared at them a little and said "Well that's what you get for sitting in the back!" (we have a mixed standing order that he gets really mad if we mess up, by the way, so we have no choice as to where we stand)

wow, there are so many random moments with our choir... composing Grandpa Hobo, accompanying the Vice Principle when he comes into class to make announcements on the piano... good times.

Last year we were working on a song called Tres Cantos Nativos, it was a collection of three native chants from the brazillian rainforest. Really really fun to sing. Anyway, it starts out with the guys humming a pedal note, and the girls are supposed to make jungle sounds over the top. So we're hissing like snakes, trying to imitate monkeys and parrots, y'know, the usual, but there, of course, a few girls who think that making animal sounds is lame, so they refuse. Finally, Steighner gets fed up and stops, saying the everyone has to make some sort of noise. We start up again and from somewhere in the back of the choir we hear someone mooing. the most interesting part was the argument as they tried to convince Steighner that a cow was a jungle animal.

Sorry, was reminded of that by Queen Arwen's post. biggrin

Today in choir one of our directors (we have three) stopped and was like gimme some music... and took of his sweater while dancing... it was scary...

I signed up for this thing my choir does every year. We goto a church and sing a bunch of different songs.

Anyhoo, we were in the hallway before those big doors every church has, and we were loud, so our Choir Director turns around and yells "Jesus Christ can you shut up for a damn minute?!" He was so embarassed he left and we had another guy conduct for us razz

I love my choir director.. he has the worst potty mouth razz
