"Am I old enough yet?" Ai was asking of his guardian, starring up at her with wide, hopeful eyes as they walked along down the sidewalk. He clung to one of her hands with both of hers, not letting go until he got an answer.

She gave a shake of her head without even looking at him, "Not quite yet, no." She said with a little chuckle. This was a conversation that they had more then once recently. It was something that was funny to her, if a tad worrisome at the same time due to his bad habit of getting crushes on those around him.

He blinked then gave a little pout, nodding, and they walked along about the span of a block before he glanced up at her, "How about now?" He asked once more, sounding as hopeful as when he'd asked and was refused a couple tries ago. He wanted to get married now he didn't understand why he couldn't. Sure he didn't have a groom or a dress yet but that stuff could be found, surely?

She shook her head once again, "Not yet, maybe later." She told him, if it came down to him getting married sooner then later it would be her that interviewed potential grooms and arranged their betrothal. For now though there was no way that she was going to give her ward away.

Vanleia noticed the waving from the corner of her eye and turned her head, lifting one hand to wave before really realizing who she was looking at. The woman blinked and a real smile appeared on her lips, "Look at that Ai, love. Its that friend of yours from the other day." She told him, hoping to break his current train of thought which was marriage.

Ai paused mid sentence and turned to look up at her, "Huh? Which friend?" He asked, hopping up and down in an attempt to see what she was seeing over the bush. Augh! Being short was the worst he thought to himself, he wasn't allowed to get married and he couldn't see over tall things! He bounced a few more times before sighing and started to run along the side of the bush line until he found the path that allowed him passed. He peeked around and his light colored eyes going huge, "Kal!" He chirped, waving rapidly at the orange haired boy.

The woman gave a soft laugh before following along after him at a slower pace, her high heels clicking on the cement as she went.

Ai gave a soft 'eep' sound and lifted a hand to cover his mouth so as not to make another loud sound that might bother Artz who was working hard on his papers, "Sorry." He whispered quietly to his friend before he gave him a bright smile, "How have you been?" He asked just as quietly.

Vanleia walked by the two boy, lifting a hand up to pat them each on the head as she walked over to where Artz was, settling down next to him on the bench. She didn't say anything, not wanting to bother him, just smiled and settled in to watch the boys.

Ai looked over to where his guardian sat before he nodded and reached out to take Kal's hand in his, lacing their fingers together before he happily followed him to where they were going. His eyes got quite wide as they approached the fountain with the big, somewhat intimidating figure that held the pot of gold. He starred at Gambino for a long moment before followed the path the water took into the pool and he gave a soft gasp, "Ah! Fishes!" He said in an excited manner.

The boy gave Kal's hand a squeeze before he released him and trotted forward, rested his hands on the edge of it, and leaned over to peer into the pool. As he got close the fish moved over to where he was, swimming in circles, seeming to be expecting food to be tossed to them.

Vanleia gave him a nod in reply before she crossed her legs and watched the two boys in silence.

Ai glanced over at the fish for a long moment, thinking on what his friend had said before he gave a little smile, "It would be nice to be able to swim like they do." He agreed then looked over at Kal, "I went to play in the water at the edge of the ocean before. It was really fun! You should go there sometime, you can try swimming then." He explained, he'd had a lot of fun with the friend he'd met there and hoped to back sometime.

The boy tilted his head to the side, "Spoke with a cat?" He asked, curiously, "Oh! That must have been so neat to talk with a cat." Kal was so amazing, not only was he really fun and really pretty he was also able to talk to cats about fish! He felt his heart flutter in his chest in that familiar manner it reacted when he was near to those he was crushing on.

"Your so neat, Kal." He murmured happily, if a bit shyly.

Ai gave a happy smile and a giggle, "Alright! We should sometime, the beach is always made better when you are there with a friend." He told Kal, nodding sagely as though the information was very important. Then again it might only be important to someone social like Ai who was never happier then when he was around fun and cute guys. His age or older, it didn't matter to him when ti came to who he crushed on.

He gave a nod, "That would be so neat to do... I wish I could hear a cat talk." He murmured then he tilted his head to the side, "What does 'neat' mean. Well... in the way I used it the word is the same as 'good' or 'interesting' though it means clean as well I think." He explained, smiling brightly after he was done. It seemed as though he were having a lot of fun in explaining stuff to Kal.

Ai felt his heart skip a beat and his cheeks darkened into a deep, flushed pink color as Kal spoke of them getting married on the beach, "W-Wow... a beach wedding." He murmured, lifting a hand up to lay it against his suddenly racing heart, "I-I think that would be wonderful." He seemed, at least for the moment, to forget that his guardian told him that he was far to young to be getting married. It was like a dream come true after all so he couldn't give up on it so easily.

He leaned against the orange haired boy in a happy manner, watching him as he let the fish nibble at his finger, "Is... is that fun?" He asked after a while of just watching, wondering what it might feel like.
