I wanted to know what its like being an Army Vet. Or vet tech, any one care to share? I'm currently thinking about JROTC or something similar as I'm a junior in high school.
Is anyone just Army Reserve? Whats that like?

well my father is a Army vet just retired after his 2nd term he served. JROTC/ROTC is a great thing to start off in gives you more learned experience before you join and with a higher rank! plus if you find u didn't like ROTC or change your mind your not stuck with a government contract right away..I have a few 6 more yrs till i sign on again.
but like iv'e told others before. military is all about your mind set you'll move up quick and have fun if you have a great attitude.
but negativity is the downfall for most theres people that joined for 8years and never made it past pv2 or pv3 slots.. ya it's less of a hassle on them if you think about paper work and all the NCO stuff that would need to be done. but those are your comrades help them out if there struggling. it'll benefit yourself and others.
anyways if you have any specific questions about joining the military i have a vast knowledge on everything but the marines but can get that info from my friends that are in! so just message me or i'll be here everyday checking threads

i like to look at the reserve as a nice paid vacation from my civilian job...one weekend a month i get to turn a few wrenches and hang out with my war buddies and then 2 weeks during the summer i get a working vacation..my past A.T.s ive gone to germany and canada...this year the unit is talkin italy or back to germany.....but the only downfall to being the reserve is the active guys will never let you do your job when they are around for fear of inexperience...and they like to call us s**t like weekend warriors or the armys tampon haha....
