It had taken...a lot of searching. Most of it done after the little brat prince had gone off to indulge in lessons that did not require the presence of his 'Nanny'. Honestly....he had a name. Not that he cared much around the House anymore. He had a good job, and he was not going to gripe over being referred to by his title. If he was fortunate he'd do a good enough job that he'd be kept around for potential future offspring. There were two females in the House after all. Not that he could discount La'zarius...but the man was as gay as a male possibly could be without being laughable. Lord La'Zarius was not a laughable male.
The nanny...Delvain, stepped through the doorway of a tavern and he glanced around with a small sniff. It was hardly the upscale premisis he was used to visiting. He had left places like this far behind when he accepted the task of tutor and caretaker of the young prince. Well...soon he'd be taking a vacation. A true relaxing one at that! Delvain adjusted the black cloak with silver lining along the hem and began to step carefully through the crowd. Where was she? She had to be waiting for him. He was certain he was a bit late... He took a moment to fuss with the bangs of his ahite hair, so they were no longer hanging over his red eyes in an irritating manner.

It had been a blow to her pride when she had run out of funds to track her siblings. The troops had soothed her conscious slightly. They were loyal. So when her spies and go betweens had returned with word of job she had been wary. Kidnapping was a difficult matter, requiring careful planning and minute precision in execution unlike the usual raids, assassinations, and clan wars her troops was hired for. It was the money that had tempted her into agreeing. Just to hear out this Delvain…
And the possibility of earning such a high house holds respect. The second house, not the first but still respected. Such respect would give her troops a good name. Outstanding even, this would be a good thing for her. If she didn’t mess it up.
Danni sigh, pulling back her hood and paused looking at the young man who had just entered. Black cloak, silver lining…white hair, red eyes, he looked like the sketches her favorite spy had gave her, matched the information gathered. She smiled nodding do him and motion him to sit beside her. “Delvain,” she muttered softly.

Delvain paused as a female nodded to him and smiled. It was when she spoke his name that he became certain she was the one he was meant to meet. He crossed over to sit in the offered chair. "Mistress...Danni I presume?" What was terrible, was all he'd really gotten was a name and vocation about the female. A mercenary of some sort...he was no spy, no information gatherer.
"You are...sure about this place?" He questioned her while sweeping his gaze over the crowd. He had no nervouseness about him though. He had no worries about someone overhearing his plans. Well..perhaps in part. He did not want a rival house to think that there was a opportunity about to be presented...but he had little fear about the house of his charge finding out what they spoke of. After all...it was his own House arrangeing this!

“Yes, it is a pleasure,” she muttered smiling at and pushing a drink over at Delvain. “Sit, have a drink. They are too busy in there own private lives to care.” She smiled and pushed a piece of paper towards Delvain with the words. ‘I have a privacy spell in place.’ “I’m sure with all the gossip; they’ll never notice we have gone missing.”
“So, explain what you need.”

Delvain glanced down at the drink before him. When was the last time he had a drink like that? He reached forwards and wrapped his hand around the glass. Next though he placed a finger upon the paper and twisted it about so he could flicker his eyes over the words. Well..that was highly convienent. Wewll then! If there was no worries about evesroppers....
Devlain lifted his eyes upwards and focused on the female before him. "I will be rather direct in this. There is someone that my employer wishes to..well...dissappear for a bit. He wants this person the be taken in as quick and clean a means as possible. He is prepared to pay a large sum of money for you to hold this individual, with the possibility of even doubling it if you would be willing to hold them for...shall we say... a few years?"

Danni paused, fingers spreading out against the table grain in thought. ‘A few years?’ Her eyes narrow turning the words in her head. Years would force her to drop the pursuit of her traitorous siblings but this could be what she needed to rise, to become part of a house perhaps even be adopted. Her eyes dropped before she hummed. “It matters…I’m sure you wish for him to stay alive. This might become a bit difficult for I was planning to travel…”
She held up her hand. “I will take him for three months to see how he interacts with the troop. After that period time we’ll meet again and talk about the possibility of him remaining for two or three years. Plus the possibility of travel.”

Delvain casually flipped the paper over that she had provided, and he tugged a very slender metal tube from his left sleeve. Carefully, he scrawled a sum upon the paper, and twisted it back towards Dani. "It is imperitive that he remains alive. In fact, if you can not be able to ensure his survival then I fear there is no room for negotiation. The target is of signifigance."
He tilted his head then as he considered the trial period. Three months... a slightly disturbed expression flickered across his features. He doubted Three months would produce a satisfactory change in the boy. He was stubborn and terribly spoiled... perhaps he would need to spare more details? Delvain glanced at the sum on the paper. "This is what we are prepared to pay simply for his capture and confinement. It will be doubled per year you keep him, until such time we request his return. Travel is..." Is what? Delvain tilted his head, and a faint smile tugged his lips. "Encouraged. So long as we recieve regular reports concerning his health and condition. We can provide magical means of course."

“Ensuring his survival and ensuring the comfort and safety of my men are to different things. If he makes an effort to fit then it will go seamlessly and will not be a problem. More then likely he will rebel and I will be force to tend more to his punishment and needs then to my troops. Three months at first,” she insisted. “Then after we talked again, and I think…a trip to Glimmer seas might be in order.”
If she was having trouble, being forced from his home town and onto the narrow vicinity of a boat should curb most of the problems. Her eldest cousin would provide a fierce counterpart likely to terrify the brat in behaving. “I’ll keep him alive Delvain and return him hopefully with an attitude that you will fine pleasing. When do you want him…gone?”

A pity..Delvain had been hoping to only need make this meeting once. Still..he was terribly desperate to have the brat gone. Even for three months time. "Very well then. Three months. I will assure you...he will be very rebellious."
Delvain reached into the lineing of his cloak, and he gently tugged out a small hand sized portrite of Zerk. Dressed in his fine cloths and standing with a prideful smirk on his little black face, Zerk's image had been painted as if it were meant to be framed. He gently finger flicked the picture over to the female and nodded his head. "His name is Zerkxiez, he is the first son and prince of House Xexsis. We wish to...knock him down a few pegs. Zerkxiez is having a difficult time accepting his place. He is full of vanity and pride, too much for his age. He has resisted many attempts to correct this behavior, but in the safety of his own home..well..." Delvain shook his head a little and spread his hands helplessly. "He fears no repurcussions, and does not act out in the presence of his mother the Matron. So there have been no 'lessons' learned from her. I am sure you understand. He believes himself...well..invincible I suppose. It is impedeing his progress and it is promiseing to become a problem later on. A male of his rank must know what is acceptable."
Delvain took his hand from the glass and folded them together before him. "We would like to arrange this as quickly as possible. Perhaps the day after tomorrow?"

She kept the smile from her face, instead nodded. "I will meet you here if this place is acceptable. If no, my men would be pleased to take a message of where we should meet."
Danni took the picture carefully. Dark hair, blue eyes...such a strange combination. It would be easy to pick him out from a crowd and easier still for her men to watch and keep him within the ranks. She might even have her mages make a small thing to track his movements. No use allowing the child to somehow slip her watch. "I have helped raised six drow children to adulthood. I think I can safely handle knocking down Zerkxiez a few pegs till he's an outstanding male citizen of his class.”
She paused before nodding. “The day after tomorrow is acceptable. My people have marked a few possible scenarios unless you have a plan in mind?”

"So long as our privacy remains assured then I see no reason to change out place of meeting." Delvain gave a small gesture about the room. "As this plan is in accordance to the Houses wishes, I have no fear of being discovered. Our main concern is ensureing no rival House attempts to pluck him from your care." Delvain watched as she studied the picture in silence for a few moments.
"We wish to set up a bit of a lesson for him right from the start. I shall be escorting the prince on one of his little inane trips into the city. He is fond of wandering in the slave market." At this Delvain shook his head as if in exasperation. "I suspect the child enjoys inspecting other species. I will take him down one of the narrower streets, if you could arrange a sort of ambush that would be excellent. I will forwarn you, the child will not be a easy catch. Despite his upstart nature, he is keenly interested in his weaponry training and is skilled with a dagger. Plus...there is one more matter to take into consideration."
Delvain reached out and tapped the pictures head with one fingertip gently. "Zerkxiez is a psion. He possesses some sort of mental power. He has the ability to create a painfully sharp blade. I would strongly suggest some means to block this ability in him, but we do not want his training of this potent weapon to go ignored. Perhaps once you have begun your traveling you can find some means to allow him practice when he is not likely to be able to escape."

"I take confidentiality seriously Delvain, privacy will be assured. As for a rival house attempts...a few days in our care should take care of any material tells of his rank and birth. His hair might be a problem, it is a stunning color. A bit of coloration should handle that." Getting the powders and dyes for the spell in mind would be a bit expensive but acceptable. "A charm to black most location spells." She smiled. "He'll be safe enough."
She listened carefully giving a small sound of frustration; this is why she hated kidnapping. Her men had to tail Delvain till they started down the narrow street. It wasn't difficult if the prey had a set pattern of times and motions but the child did not and add magic to the mix. She would have to put Kis and Quill on this detail, one at each exit and a couple mages on the roof of the buildings to provide support.
Hmmm perhaps add even Rile to the group to help even things out. After the initial shock the child was going to be noticeably upset. Danni certainly didn’t want to deal with any crying. Kis and Quill would be pleased enough to teach him his gift. “I’ll have my mages train him on the way to Glimmer sea. I’m sure the idea of sea monsters will make him eager to practice.”

The sound of frustration that came from Danni caused Delvain to quirk an eyebrow. Perhaps he should offer something a bit more...he did not know. He glanced down at at the glass before him and pursed his lips. "Not that I wish to tell you how to perform your job..but..."
He dipped his finger into the drink and drew a pair of lines across the table before him. "When we are out, we are accompanied by five guards. One to the front, one to either side, and two following in the rear. My suggestion would be to...scatter us. Perhaps by sending a roth and wagon running towards us as we exit the street. It will be sudden enough to startle the guards, particularly if I select the ones that are most likely to be slow of reflexs and..well..let me just state it will be no loss for your men to pick them off. It shall add a more defined feel of authenticity to the event."
Delvain gently flicked his finger across the two lines he had drawn to create three splayed lines. The two behind will still be in the street behind, easily picked off by arrows. One of the guards may fall to the rothe, most likely the one closest to the way the way the rothe comes from. The one to the fore will more then likely be able to get clear and I can fall into the last guard to inconvience him. I can push the boy clear of the rothe and wagon, so we will be seperated and you will only have one guard near to him in order to contend with. Does this sound like a acceptable ploy?"
Delvain paused for a moment, and nodded his head as he considered the blocking spells. Yes. That would keep rivals from spying but...hmm... "My Lord will want to spy on the boy from time to time. To ensure he is well. We will need to arrange a way for him to check up on him..Perhaps I can provide you with a bone that will allow one of his unseen servants to follow along?" He paused and pursed his lips as talk of mages was brought forth.
"I fear...mages may not be capable of training the boy. We had to bring in a specialist you see. A Psion is not as a mage. His powers are not magical in nature and I do not believe such training will be efficient." Delvain made a gesture towards his head with one finger. "At the moment he is studying meditation and practicing some form of matrial arts. The tutor insists that Zerk must obtain. I would suggest attempting to keep to these practices that he is already trained in. I do not think you will have a problem with this though...of his studies Zerk is quiet fond of these lessons and will most likely be eager to continue them himself. He is...physically interested. He adores weaponry lessons. We have used denial of these lessons as methods of punishment. Which...has proved rather effective in part."

Danni hummed slightly before nodding. It would be easier to plan then. If Delvain thought it was not a loss then the guards would die. It was just life, taking out unworthy men to keep them from passing on their inferior genes. Her men would be less at risk if they didn't have to pull their strikes. It was harder to wound then kill.
"It is more then acceptable. I will have to speak to my mage before accepting the bone." To invite a creature she had no control into the camp? It was a hazard and with out the proper controls she would not have it. "While a Psion may not be a mage, the ones I have in mind do teach meditation. Rile my captian will take the boy on for training. It might also do him some good to know the effects of a spell whe casted."

Personally, Delvain would have preferred for Zerk's knowledge gained about spells to have come from first hand experience. Nothing like a smarting magic missle or blistering fireball to teach the little brat a bit of respect for even the common mages. However, he kept his tongue still on his personal desires. He was certain that the kidnapping experience would be unpleasent enough without his vindictive desires getting involved.
"Of course. I will have the bone tucked into Zerk's money purse, which will contain the agreed upon amount for his kidnapping. If you do not wish to carry the bone then you merely need to leave it somewhere in a street. It will find it's way back where it belongs." He paused then and rubbed a finger over his lips.
"Hmm...what else needs be discussed?"
