Has anyone else noticed that they are better adapted than most people to dealing with the same weathers their animal is?
I have a resistance to the cold and general bad weather, often wearing just a t-shirt in winter (on one occasion in the snow) without feeling cold, like otters who hunt in freezing water and seas. Then in summer I overheat really easily and want nothing but to be in cold water.

I generally dont have a problem with any type of weather... I do have winter but thats just because of the work and hassle snow brings with it. I never thought about it being tied to my theriotype however now that I think about it the amur leopard is the same way. It can adapt to pretty much any climate. *shrug*

As flaky as the whole "were-powers" discussions can get, I have to agree. I'm alot better in the cold or rain than the people around me, though I'm not totally sure how much of that is Therianthropy, and how much is communing with nature, magical practice, or just not letting it bother me...

devilsace i think we adapt to invorment easer then most. Which is, as I said, a typical result of willingly adapting to nature instead of trying to resist it.

I hate to go against the flow, but due to my horrible peripheral circulation, I get corpse feet (as my brother puts it), and hands, having said that I never realise it or feel cold. But boy does it scare people. I like to think I have a better countercurrent circulaton system than most to my periphery, and as such prefer temperate climates...like autumn and spring. I love running about in the rain...the heat we've been having is killing me, and it did kill my cat crying

Thank you. According to the local vet there's been a high toll on black cats this summer due to opportunistic infections hitting them when they get stressed...maybe that's why I get so many colds in summer.

I am also this way. Cold rarely bothers me, and I normally feel rather comfortable in colder weather, versus the others around me that are freezing their butts off. However, I am absolutly miserable in hot weather. sad

I'm comfortable in most types of weather except extreme heat. I love snow, and I love nothing more than a good romp in the snow; however, I don't much like clothes, ESPECIALLY socks, so winter and I don't get along quite as well as I'd like.

I'd been lead to believe not liking clothes was a general male thing, my partner seems to have an aversion to them without being therian as well.
