Yuan had done it. He had gotten a rather old lioness to trade her kill for a worthless bone that he had claimed had been blessed by a goddess and would grant her a wish at the next full moon. Brilliant. Just bloody brilliant. The next full moon wasn't til a month away. He'd be long gone by then. The kill was already gone.
Why hunt when you could have others do your dirty work?
Yuan was pleased with him self. Very pleased. The scam had been much easier then he thought it would have been. An old bone? That granted wishes? Bah!
The crook conman of a lion licked his chaps. Dinner had been great, and easy. Now it was time to find some where he could spend the night.

Kumo had found herself a nice little den where she could sleep before starting in on her journey the next morning. Course she had no idea she would soon have a visitor of the most unpleasant craft of coning. She was currently in a light sleep curled up tightly around herself. Though once the male grew closer she began ti stir. She blinked her eyes willing her tired body to wake.
"Mmm...why me." She whined softly moving to get up slowly going to the mouth of the den to see who it possible could be trying to in pouch on her nice resting area. Once she noticed it was a male she glared slightly. She never really had likes males less they had the fitting color and size of a firekin other wise they where just meat walking around to her.
"Can I help you?" She yawned tiredly as her tail flicked behind her in her great displeasure of still being awake. "Don't keep me up now." She spat out getting a bit grumpy as she leaned into the Den wall.

So this den was occupied. The disappointment didn't show on Yuan's face but he felt a little disappointed on the inside. Sure he could go else where and spend the night but the conman had wanted this den.
This wasn't a small lioness either. She was huge in comparison to average lioness's and looked fit as a fiddle too. Did he really want to try with her? Was he having second thoughts? Not right now at least.
Yuan stood there for a moment as he sized this female up.
"I'msorrylassy. Didn'tknowyouwereinhere." His thick accent and fast passed way of speaking blurred his words together. "So, I assume...." He slowed his speaking some, "Ya know that these parts are cursed." He looked sincere as he spoke. "Imeanyalooklikeasmartlasswho'sbeenaround. Strongto. I suspect warrior blood of some kind?" He rambled on, "Yalooklikeyoudon'tneednobodieshelpoutherebyyourself. I'msorryforbotheringya."

She eyed him a moment trying to catch up on his speech now Kumo wasn't slow or stupid she simple had a problem with people that spoke quickly they made her head spin. She leaned more against the den as she watched him for a long moment.
"Wh-what?" She said as she looked to him confused as she moved closer to him still yawning as she stretched out her body. "If...I heard you correctly you just said these lands where cursed?" She said it was about as much as she got from him beside the buttering up on her looks of being a warrior.
She smiled faintly remember her father the great and powerful Bodaway. How she missed him then there was her sister that she had almost come into contact with. She shivered he was right these lands where cursed plagued with the memoirs of the past.
She looked to the male her eyes slightly desperate though she'd never come out to admit it only really dabble on the edge of the cliff she might need help. "Well then it looks like I should ask you to join me for the night."

Yuan's speech had been mastered over the years. He spoke fast usually to confuse others. His speech hadn't always been so fast though. Now he was so practiced in the art that it just came naturally. Yuan had to think now to talk slower.
It seemed his efforts had paid off. The lioness had invited him to share her den with him. It was kind of a plus. However, she didn't seem all that interested in the kind of nightly activity that he was into. Yuan frowned on the inside. Still, he got the den he wanted.
"I think I'll kindly take your offer," He gave her a bow of his head. "Two lions together are better then one," He was slowing his speech now that he had gotten what he really had set to obtain.
He slowly made his way into the mouth of the den. It was a nice size, but Yuan supposed it needed to be. "Whatsyournamelass?" He shook his head old habit getting the better of him, "I'm sure a pretty lass such as your self has to have an equally pretty name."

Kumo wasn't the first to realize what she might have implied. There had only been one male in her life to make her blood boil to make her feel as though she should share herself with him and he had run off with another. Now she had no intention really but as she looked at this male her mind began to think began to plot. What if she did? She could possible have a family all by herself.
She smiled more thinking about it as she looked away from him not wanting him o get any idea. Sure she would never do such things with this male. No she would never touch a male with a pelt such as his that would just be utterly repulsive.
Finally sure turned back to the male curiously. "Mmm...oh...Its Kuroi...Kuroi'Kumi." She said before looking back out the mouth of the den. "You can call me just Kumo though...I prefer it actually." She said honestly before giving a tired yawn and moving back inside where it was warmer and dryer to get some sleep.

"Kumo it is then." He found a spot he liked and took the liberty of laying there. The lion let out a yawn. Yuan had been traveling for quite some time now. Old fashion rock dens like this were rare honestly. Yuan preferred them the most though, they were cozy and warm.
"Thinkthecursewon'tbenoproblemwithusbothtogether..." He swatted at a small rodent who scurried onward toward the mouth of the cave. "Got some pests," The lion eyed the rodent. He wasn't hungry, he just hated rodents.
His attention turned back to the female, "Suppose its rude of me not to give my name. They call me Madzi." Yuan grinned. Yeah, he gave her a false name. Mostly because if she found out that there was no curse in these lands he did not want to be on the receiving end of her fury. She looked tough.
"I'm a humble pilgrim. Comejustdownfromthemountainsupnorth." That wasn't a complete lie. He'd just traveled through the mountains, but he wasn't a humble pilgrim of any sort.

She nodded softly looking to the male curiously as he took a deep breath before closing her eyes. She did her best to ignore the male now. Not because she wasn't interested in him she had just been traveling and was very tired. Though it didn't last long she opened her gold eyes looking over to the male curiously.
"So why come here?" She asked bluntly as she let out a heavy sigh as her tail swayed beside her before it finally rested over her back legs coiling around one as she pulled closer together trying to get warm.
"I mean aren't you about to die here...I heard the mountains are cold less you where just going through them as well." she said with a shrug.
"I could never stand going to the mountains I hate the cold...heat however. I love the heat its mmm amazing." she said purring as she nuzzled her forearms before resting her head against them looking to him curiously waiting for his reply.
