Once again, Valleriite was out on the town for the night.
Her agenda tonight; party. Humming, she sauntered over to the corner of the street to call for a taxi. (She was not going to ruin her outfit by walking.)
For the night's occasion, she had chosen a black mini-dress, the skirt a little too short, and the bodice a little too revealing. Long blonde hair cascaded around her shoulders. A beauty, that was what she was. She knew and the boys knew it. While she dialed the number of the taxi company, she didn't miss the leering stares of the college boys nearby. Every so often, some guy would whistle, gesturing for her to join them. Disgusting. They were all bums, kids who wasted their worthless lives away with drugs, alcohol, and women. Pathetic, that's what they were, she decided as she flipped her phone shut with a loud snap.
But she was a generous person. She would humor them for all it was worth. After all, she might as well have some fun before the taxi arrived. Then she'd be on her way, without no one knowing any better~
Strolling over to a dark alleyway, she crooked her finger in a motion for the boys to join her. And like dogs, they obeyed. "Silly boys." She mused to herself aloud, as she watched the boys rush over. Didn't their mothers ever teach them not to talk to strangers? Well, probably not. In their intoxicated state, they were too stupefied to realize the consequences of the actions. No doubt, they were too off with their mind with the lust to care much about anything.
And if they didn't care.. Well, she'd do them a favor.
Allowing the men to corner her in the alley, she gave them a sweet smile as she reached out to unlock her necklace. Then her sweet disposition suddenly turned wicked as she gave the men an evil grin.. Her guise slipping away to reveal someone entirely new.
One of the men backed away, as he realized all was not right. A strange girl... transformation.. He had heard of this be—
"Noooooo-o—!" He choked out before he was quickly stabbed within the heart. "Be quiet, won't you now?" Whispered a voice into his ear as his last breath faded away. And in less then a minute, three bodies laid crumpled on the ground as she walked away from the sight.
"Ta, ta boys." She murmured, blowing them a kiss as she toyed with the star seeds in hand, throwing them in the air.

Humming to himself, Kirin walked with a bounce in his step. It was late and it was cold, but none of that put a damper on his spirits. His first karaoke visit since that whole Barren Pines debacle, followed by a hospital stay, so it wasn't surprising that Kirin had stayed until closing. Once he might have caught public transport rather than walking home. Once, he hadn't had a secret magical form. Maybe it was phantom courage, but Kirin felt pretty untouchable. It wasn't that long of a walk home anyway, so why not save his money? (Likely for more karaoke.)
A scream sliced through the night air, a razor-sharp interruption of Kirin's good mood. Suddenly alert (possibly for zombies), Kirin darted in the direction of the voice, slinking along in the shadows. Checking no one was nearby, Kirin ducked into an abandoned alleyway and quietly said the words that had changed his life: "Foramen Power, Make Up."
One quick lightshow later and Foramen was jumping from the alley up onto the roof. Next alley over, three bodies slumped on the ground, mysterious holes in their chests. Something about that seemed familiar... fairy tale? newscast? Internet rumour? Kirin knew he'd heard it somewhere.
He didn't care for the dead bodies - useless and uninformative. He leapt over the alley to peer out onto the street (one or two over from where he'd originally been walking). The blonde girl wouldn't normally have caught his attention, but there was a sudden sparkle. Something, no, several somethings, glittered in her hand. Eyes narrowing, Foramen crept along the rooftops, keeping silent pace slightly behind the girl.

Her job here was done. Turning on her heel, she exited the alley behind her.
"Ugh, I hope my outfit isn't ruined." With her hands, she brushed off the dirt off her uniform. Contrary to what her actions, she didn't enjoy blood. Blood was always such a mess. While she adored the hunt, she detested the aftermath. Unlike the senior agents, she found it to be too troublesome to rid herself of the body in a random dumpster or graveyard somewhere. Rather, she left it abandoned for some other innocent passerby to come across.
After all, she got what she wanted. As for the rest, it wasn't her problem. The police, or the news-reporters, or even the black market could take-over for all she cared. She didn't give a damn about whatever happened—
After all, it wasn't like things could get any worse. The news reports portrayed the negaverse as monsters and the police in fast pursuit after. (As for the black market? There was no concern there.) But the way she saw it, the negaverse was famous! Albeit, anonymous celebrities, but celebrities nonetheless. A fact that she'd proudly admit. But as they said, fame had it's moments. C'mon, Even the bad guys needed their breaks.
Tonight was a night for fun and entertainment she vowed; clubbing, dancing, single, the works! The possibilities were endless.

Foramen crept slowly closer across the rooftop. Close enough to hear the girl complain about ruining her clothes. He bit back a snort, settling for a scowl. Weird outfit anyway - like a Las Vegas croupier on crack topped with a Mad Hatter's hat. Something about this seemed... off. More off than a teenage girl killing people in any alley, he corrected himself. There was something else at work here. Foramen was willing to bet those shiny objects she had were part of it.
Concentrating on them, he waited until the girl tossed one into the air, like a play toy. "Vanishing Rift, Slice," he muttered. The rift appeared just under the item, swallowing it as gravity pulled it back towards the girl's waiting hand. The other end of the rift appeared above Foramen's hand, echoing the flat, waiting position of the girl's.
He studied his newly 'found' object. It was diamond shaped and diamond hard. Almost clear, with a faint tinge of colour to it. It was... it was... Foramen frowned. He had the suspicion that it should be... brighter or sparklier than it was.
Echoes of fairy tale -like stories ran through his mind. 'Everyone has a star in their hearts...' Those guys in the alley had been sporting gaping holes in their chests. Foramen felt like he was almost onto something, the knowledge dancing at the edge of his vision but gone as soon as he turned to look more closely.
Hmph. No help for it, then.
"Hey!" he called out to the girl. If she looked up, she'd see a senshi sitting on the edge of the rooftop, legs dangling. He held up the stolen starseed. "Interesting hobby you have. Wanna tell me what this is, though?"

Paying no attention to anything whatsoever, it took her a few moments to realize the disappearance of her star seeds. One moment it was there, and the next, it was gone. Somewhat baffled by this revelation, it took her a few moments to register what had happened.
It was gone. Her precious star seed gone, as if it were never there, she affirmed with a look of disbelief.
... Surely this was a magic trick of some kind. But the thought was rejected immediately; magic tricks did not cause objects to disappear into thin air. In any event, it was impossible. Magic, on the other hand.. Her eyes downcast, she had a sinking feeling she knew what happened.
"Hey!"
Distracted, the sound of someone's voice caught her attention. Directing her gaze towards the sound, she caught sight of a flaming-haired senshi perched a top a building.
Not again, she sighed as she brought a hand to her forehead in a gesture of disappointment. Why did her nights never go as well as expected? There was always one interruption after another. First Ulexite, and now a damn senshi. There was no way she was getting out of this one-- Her party would have to wait, she supposed.
In one swift leap, she landed atop the building with grace. Turning on her heels, she directed her attention to the senshi before her.
"Can a girl ever get a break in this town?" She pronounced in a dry tone, her arms crossed, and her lips curved into a frown of annoyance. Her question first.

The girl's neat leap up onto the building had Foramen narrowing his eyes. He would have preferred it if he had the advantage in height or agility, but this girl seemed to have all the same boosts in ability that Foramen did once transformed. And yet she clearly wasn't a senshi. So what was this girl that she was a match for a senshi?
"Clearly not," he answered coolly. "Or you would have answered my question already." His voice was in his feminine range, a low alto, and as Astraea had pointed out, the choker and chest bow cleverly hid the main indicators of his true gender.
Rising to his feet, Foramen splayed the crystal between his fingers, raising it up next to his face. "So. This?" he repeated.

Great. The next thing she needed was a smart-a**. But it was nothing a good a**-kicking wouldn't solve.
Unfortunately, what the senshi needed wasn't a good-a** kicking, but information. As the other girl waited upon the answer, Valleriite turned to her stare. Her look of displeasure disappeared, replaced with a incredulous expression.
A <********> newbie was making a fool of her. Unbelievable.
Eyes narrowing, arms still crossed, she gave the senshi a look of mocking pity. "Oh please. You don't mean to tell me that silly kitty cat didn't tell you what those were?" Foramen's cool glance confirmed her words, as she remained silent. Eyes glistening with amusement, Val erupted in laughter. Oh, this was priceless.. and utterly ridiculous. She didn't know whether it was ignorance, nor stupidity that had blindfolded this senshi to reality.
But if there was one thing she knew- It was impossible to play this game, and win if you didn't know a ******** thing about it.
She didn't know what cat had awakened the poor girl, but she was clearly inept in her duties. At least, Charonite had bothered to assign a teacher to each of his lieutenants. God, if this was the leader of the senshi force, it was no wonder that they were such a pathetic force. She almost felt sorry for them-- almost.
But she would humor the senshi for all that he was worth, she supposed. Wiping the tears of laughter from her eyes, she took her sweet time in answering the senshi's question. "That, my dear.." She said gesturing to the object in hand, "..is a star seed. A human's life-force. Soul. Heart. Call it what you will."
She didn't give a damn what they called it, as long as it was in the possession of the negaverse.
"And it's mine. Mind returning it now?" Val declared, with a pointed look.

Starseed.
Foramen's eyes narrowed at the word. If Valeriite was still watching closely, she would see recognition in the gaze. Foramen's hand tightened on the crystal. So, this was a soul in physical form. That was what that Zodiac Princess had sacrificed in order to resurrect her dead team. A deal with the... Star Cauldron, was it?
Interesting. Very interesting.
"How many of these do you suppose a senshi starseed is worth?" he murmured, thinking aloud. After a moment he looked up, a puzzled expression crossing his face as he noticed the blonde woman was still present. "Thank you, you've been very helpful," Foramen said. After a brief he pause, he prompted, "That will be all. You may go now."
Silly girl. Didn't she know you shouldn't throw anything away if you didn't want others to claim it for their own?

"That will be all. You may go now."
What the hell?
Eyes narrowed, she gave the girl a scathing glare. Who did that prissy b***h she think she was? Queen? Think again, she snapped. Her only queen was Queen Beryl. And as she recalled, Val didn't take orders from anyone but her king and queen.
Arms crossed, she gave the senshi a look of utmost disdain.
"Who are you to dismiss me?" She scoffed, as the expression on her face hardened- her eyes cold, and her manner frigid. A complete one-eighty from her previous attitude- an obvious sign of her rising temper. If she was irritated earlier, she was certainly angry now.
The senshi was quickly climbing it's way up into her list of 'Bitches that really piss me off'. A list that she was usually a part of. Not the other way around.
Summoning her weapon to hand, she gripped it with furious determination. With only a second warning, Val took a flying leap and lunged for the gal. Weapon poised and ready to swing, she aimed to thrust it directly within the senshi's neck.
Obviously, this cocky kid didn't know who she was dealing with. And Val would have been more then happy to remind her.

Foramen was cackling internally as his icy barbs hit home on the blonde girl. His face was still clear, kinda bored, but inside he was waiting to see what happened next. People spilled all kinds of useful information when they were in a rage...
Unfortunately for him, Valeriite skipped from 'talking' to 'attacking', instead. Foramen had a brief second to think 'oh crap' as a large metal cross appeared in Valeriite's hands, then it was swinging at his neck.
Cursing aloud, Foramen dove away. Air whooshed by his ear, sending his hair flying. Even with his enhanced speed and reflexes, the cross still caught his neck. Rising to his feet after a commando roll out of the way, Foramen lifted a hand to the sting on his neck. He couldn't see it, but there was an angry red scratch. Foramen could only tell that he wasn't bleeding.
"Ohhhh?" he taunted, covering up how close that had been. "Is that the best you can do?"
Despite the attitude, his eyes remained narrowed on Valeriite, waiting for her next move. Now that he knew she was retaliating with violence, he was ready to let rip with his own attack.

Delighted by the senshi's curses, an wicked smile spread across her face. She took a moment to revel in the pleasure, as she eyed the senshi from afar.
Unfortunately, her enjoyment didn't last long. Her smile soon faded into a frown of displeasure. The rod had connected, but just barely. "Tch." She muttered, in a tone of disappointment. Apparently, her cross had only grazed his throat. Barely enough to make a scratch it seemed. No blood. What a pity.
Eyes focused, Val gripped her weapon once more. Her gaze no longer filled with fury but a look of speculation. Foramen's dodging reflexes had been admirable- She would grudgingly admit that she was a better fighter then Val had taken her for. And as a fighter, she doubted that a blind attack would work once more. While she had managed to graze the senshi, it had been far more sloppy then her usual fighting style.
But a girl had her bad days every now and then, she huffed. And today was no exception the rule.
"Trust me, this is only the beginning." Val assured her with the greatest confidence, her cross twirling in hand. While she had no idea of what Foramen's game nor powers were, she certainly didn't plan on finding out.
Go, came the silent command as Foramen stood by to allow for an opening.
What the hell she was thinking, Val didn't know. But she wasn't about to pass up such a prime opportunity. Platform heels grind-ed into the cement as she dashed from below. Weapon poised and ready to swing, she aimed for the senshi once more.
This time, her legs. She would end this-- by slamming that pretty face flat into the ground. It would serve the b***h right.

The blonde had balls, Foramen had to give her that. And Valeriite's vindictiveness was catching. An answering manic grin split his face as Val spoke of it only being the beginning. She had no idea how true that was. Foramen had yet to bring his powers into play, and from the look of things, this girl had no powers, just a giant cross to swing as a blunt instrument.
Waiting out his opponent, Foramen raised his hands in front of him. It might seem like a defensive position to Valeriite, but Foramen was getting ready to drop a surprise on the feisty blonde.
Valeriite rushed him. One gloved hand immediately made a slashing motion, accompanying a quiet, "Vanishing Rift, Slice."
The rift crackled open between Foramen and Val - he waited to see if she could avoid it, or if her momentum would carry her through. He hoped for the latter, considering the other 'end' of the brief trip was five metres behind Valeriite - that is, roof level in the middle of the street, a nice drop to the asphalt road.

Explosions shook the air, the sound echoing across the battlefield as the fight continued on.
Distracted by the thought of winning (or merely shoving the senshi face-flat), it had not occurred to her that the senshi's attacks would be of the ... spatial-sort. she had expected something more of the physical aspects-- Like Castor's and Alkaid's for instance.Granted, their attacks had not done much harm but still.
Who expected a senshi with ******** teleportation powers?
She certainly didn't. And her impatience proved to be her downfall. In her hastiness to land an offensive, she had fallen headfirst into the portal- or to be more accurate, his trap. In the span of a few seconds, her life felt like it had gone through slow motion. One hand out-stretched, she struggled to grab on to something, anything. But she knew better, she told herself in a weak voice. There was no one there to help her. Not Tanz, Serandite, nor anyone else. She was on her own.
At the sensation of falling, she felt her emotions being overwhelmed by panic. Unlike the circus, she had no lifeline or support. Despite her powers and abilities, she didn't have what it took to prevent such a fall.
It's over, she told herself as the rift unfolded itself mid-air. She fell back into the rubble, the sound echoing through the whole clearing. Her body landed with a sickening thud, as Val collided with the ground. The pain was unbearable, she groaned as she struggled to hold back her tears- an involuntary reaction. Hands clenched, teeth grinded, she endeavored to lift herself up. With one hand, she struggled to lift herself up on one knee.
To no success. Stumbling, she fell back to the ground. "Damn you." She whispered, her voice pained and gradually weakening, as the rest of her body. She knew that her body wouldn't last much longer. She could barely support herself.
Damn it. She couldn't lose. Not to someone like her.

Foramen let out a satisfied cackle as Valeriite hit the rift and was dropped to the street below. He was more surprised than he let on, unsure if that would work or not. It was gratifying for the trap to succeed.
He casually strolled to the edge of the roof. The wind caught his hair as he peered down, checking on the condition of his opponent. Weak as a kitten. It appeared even a few metres drop could be dangerous if someone landed the wrong way. It was good to know.
Holding up the starseed, hoping the blonde could still see him from where she was, Foramen called out, "Thanks again. I'll figure the rest out of my own."
The starseed was slipped somewhere under the star-studded sash. Foramen turned his back on Valeriite and began walking across the roof in the opposite direction. Without any sort of Intro to Negaverse 101 from the cats, Foramen had no orders to follow, such as killing downed Negaversers, and not knowing how Val had gotten the starseeds, had no idea how to get one out of her. Hell, the idea of it didn't even occur to him - he just wanted to go home and play with his shiny new toy and all the interesting implications that came with it.
Still, it might not have been a wise idea to turn his back on a conscious Negaverse Lieutenant. Especially one who might feel slighted by such a brush-off.

Thanks? Thanks? To a Negaverse lieutenant, that was ******** mockery.
And in her mind, that was, no doubt as to what Foramen had intended. Damn her, if she thought that Val would let it end here. No one made fun of her and stood to got away with it, she vowed, overwhelmed by her feelings of anger and a need for vengeance. Her hands clenched at the pavement as she struggled to lift herself up.
Filled with bitter determination, she rose to her feet with strength she didn't realize she possessed. Staggering on her feet, the effort strained her body beyond it's limits- To the point where she no longer felt any of her limbs. Vaguely aware of the numbing pain that spread through her body, she paid it no heed.
No longer acting on her accord or consciousness, she was vaguely aware of slipping into a deep hypnotism.
Greeted by the familiar scent of gasoline nearby, the only thing she could register was; fire.
Like a machine, without a thought to her actions, she sent her weapon flying into the gas tank nearby. The kerosene flooded the concrete and the pavement, dousing the entire block. From her pocket, she conjured a lighter- the flame burning an eerie yellow before it fell to the ground with a small clang. Coupled with the rapid spread of kerosene and fire, the district ignited up in flames, as the flame and smoke slowly engulfed the surrounding areas. The flame shone a bright orange-yellow, illuminating the night sky above.
Frantically, screams could be heard from the residences nearby, calling for 911. Within the distance, the sirens of the fire department wailed softly.
Dropping to her knees, she watched the scene before her unfold with a hollow, and life less expression. She didn't give a damn as to what happened to her. If Val couldn't win, neither could he. She'd kill him and everyone else, before she admitted defeat.
