Firestone waited. Redwing had told him that she wanted to talk last night at the Gathering.
The lovely she-cat had sounded a little distressed and he hoped that she was alright. He loved her. More than he had ever loved another cat in his life.
More than he could love another cat in his own Clan..

Berryleaf silent trotted behind her older sister. It wasn't that she didn't want to speak, she just couldn't speak. There were too many questions running through her head.
When she had found out she had almost wanted to run across the border right then, but Redwing had convinced her to settle down. Well, there was still time to do it now... No. She shook the though out of her head. She was supposed to be the calm one.
The approached the border with RiverClan, and Berryleaf could see a large figure waiting by a tree. Instinctively from the smell the fur on her neck raised. RiverClan!

Redwing sighed as she saw her sister's reaction. Why couldn't she just accept her choice and be fine with it. She hurried over to greet the RiverClan tom and could feel the weight of her stomach slowing her down. "Hello," She gave his shoulder a lick before turning back to her sister.
"Berryleaf, this is Firestone," she meowed to her sister. "Firestone, Berryleaf." She sent a silent prayer to StarClan about what was about to unfold.

Berryleaf took a step forward. She had planned this from the moment she found out. She knew exactly how it would unfold. She opened her mouth, ready to chew the tom out, "Y---"
She drew a blank. She had so many things she wanted to say to him, that nothing stood out in her mind. She didn't know where to start.

Firestone, seeing that Redwing's sister looked displeased decided to try and keep things calm. He still had no idea why they were here, but if Redwing wanted to talk to him, he would come no matter what. "Greeting, Berryleaf," he replied, hoping that the ThunderClan she-cat wouldn't snap at him. Redwing had always described her as calm and gentle, but she seemed anything but now.

Redwing tapped Firestone's shoulder with her tail, and then gave a look to Berryleaf to try and stop her from an outburst. She was never like this unless you really got on her bad side. Redwing didn't know why she was taking this so badly.
"Firestone, I have something to tell you. Something important."

Why did she have to act so calm? Didn't she know that she was slowly ruining her life? Berryleaf sat down near a rock as her sister and the tom walked away slowly. She wanted to retort with a comment but held her tongue. Maybe she should cut them some slack. After all, she had never been in love herself, but still her sister should know better than this.

Firestone followed the dark red cat away from her sister just enough until they were far enough away that she couldn't hear them speak. He wondered why she brought her sister in the first place if they were just going to leave her. He looked over her shoulder. Berryleaf was sitting now, but she still looked displeased and uncomfortable. He turned back to Redwing, "What do you want, love?"

Redwing sat down near a small tree, slightly in the shade of it. She thought for a second about what to say. It was so.. it was going to be hard. She didn't know exactly how to put it or where to start. She beckoned him with her tail.
"Firestone, I don't exactly know how to put this, but....."

"Wait? What? How? When? Who?" Berryleaf couldn't believe it. She almost wanted to leap right then and now. This was great! This was awesome! She hadn't thought that her sister was particularly interested in any of the toms in ThunderClan, but apparently she was wrong."
"Well," her sister had replied, ".....How? Well, you know. When? Probably sometime earlier this moon. Who?" She gulped. "You're gonna freak out on me if I tell you."
"No I won't. Since when do I do that?" She tried to calm herself. She never acted like this. But she was so excited.
"His name is---"
Berryleaf sighed. She knew what they were going to talk about. Those two... If only she could have stopped them sooner; before it happened. But she hadn't any idea what had been going on with her sister until then.
She sighed again. She strained her ears to pick up any trace of their conversation, but couldn't. "Hmph.. I could probably guess anyways. Oh hey Firestone! Guess what! What? You'll never guess! Tell me already! I'm going to have kits! Oh, yay, that is so great." She gave a little laugh of sarcasm.

"What?!?" the orange tom could hardly stay standing, whether out of excitement or shock, "That's... that's wonderful." Firestone sat down, trying to calm himself.
He probably should have guessed sooner. Redwing was looking a little bigger than usual in the stomach area. He gave her a lick on the ear. "These kits couldn't have a better mother than you," he told her. He tried to sound excited, and he was, but still deep down he felt some little notion gnawing at him.
