This RP takes place during the Dominion War so Cardassians, Jem'Hadar, Vorta, Changelings, and Breen would be great.

Erhm, Kyo, you can't be a private, or really a secretary, on a starship. You'd be an ensign; Starfleet goes by Navy rankings. And you'd only be able to be a secretary if you were back on Earth in the Bureaucracy.

Description of character's appearance and personality: Metiu is a strange woman, though not near so much as her mother, Takael Ran. Passionate about her work as an archaeologist, she will not stop for nearly anything to achieve her goals. Somewhat laughing, but will switch into what her mother calls "Vulcan Mode" when under extreme stress. She will turn from a warm, understanding commanding officer and become a purely analytical machine.

As of yet, she is an unjoined Trill. Her choice was between the Initiate program and Starfleet, and she chose Starfleet.

In terms of appearance, Metiu inherited her father's dark brown hair, her mother's hazel-green eyes, and her mother's odd spot pattern that extends across her nose. She stands about 5'5" tall, a little fireball of energy. Her hair can usually be seen done up as a loose feathered bun at the top of her head, and her family's signature long sideburns.
Interesting to note, she also has an eyepatch over her left eye.

Any other information you wish to include: Grew up with her chief engineer, Lt. Cmdr. Nog, and the Plant Angel Ciel, who powers the Schliemann C, a Penumbra-class starship. Plans are underway for the Umbra class, a successor to this class, designed to better sync Plant and LCARS functions.
