Darcy sat, staring at the child in front of her. What had she been thinking, allowing Jaella to dress the poor thing? He looked absolutely ridiculous; even the blanket Aaron had wrapped him in did. What had possesed Jaella to dress him like that? She was leaning against her usual perch, ignoring the chill it provided her with. Ugh. Cold.
Aaron held the infant close to his chest, having wrapped him up carefully. It'd been a while since they'd given away a child this young. He needed to keep warm, they couldn't let him go home with a cold, now could they?

The day was indeed miserably frigid, a cold mist having settled early that morning and crept over the fringes of town. Few ventured amongst the avenues and side-streets of the area, save for those set with some nominal purpose. One of those who stirred the errant tendrils happened to be the prince himself, of a questionable monarchy, whom had been summoned by means of mail. He strode out quite confidently to the location, trying to be prompt as possible. Thankfully, it was easy enough to find, and in a short passage he made it and stepped towards those who he could only assume were the ones specified in the letter. "Hello, are you the ones who sent for me?" he inquired, curious as to what they would want.

Aaron paused for a moment in his fussing over the sleeping infant, and stared at the guardian. They had never had a potential guardian arrive with such confidence. He wondered at the man, before his attention was again taken by the infant. Why couldn't they keep him?
Darcy stood up, almost grateful for a reason to move. "We are," she said vaguely. "Come, I assume you must have many questions. Assuming you have not yet realized why we have called you here?" She smiled; but it wasn't exactly a warm smile. It was more of a 'wait and see what we've got in store for you' kind of smile.

Owing to his luck since entering this world, it wasn't terribly difficult to assess just what the cryptic, smiling woman wanted with him. A soft chuckle emanated from the boys lips and his gaze shifted towards the bundle the man held, motioning to it. "I'd assume that would be the reason for calling me? This wouldn't be the first time something like this has happened." And that was the understatement of the year. Between getting a cow, a demon, a siren, and an elf, he wasn't exactly shocked to get letters of summons anymore.

Darcy nodded. "Perceptive one. Knew we chose you for a reason." she said, smiling lightly. "Yes, the child is the reason we called you out here. We decided that you'd be a compatible parent for him."
"Darcy, keep it down. You'll wake him." Aaron said, sighing at his sister. He stood up, careful not to jostle the child too much. "If you have any questions, sir, feel free to ask us. We'll answer them to the best of our abilities."
