12/21/2012, numerous civilians around the globe contracted an unknown viral disease. None of the world most knowledgeable scientists had any clue of just where this virus came from. In the first 5 years of the pandemic, studies were conducted to find out just what this virus was and, if they were lucky, a cure. After numerous experiments and millions of death later, scientists came to conclusion that virus was the fabled Solanum virus. The Solanum virus had the power to change a normal healthy human into an animated corpse, or zombie, that feeds on living human flesh in 23 hours.
10 years after 12/21/2012, the world is now in a Class 4 zombie pandemic and there are only about a couple thousand of non-infected humans left. Amongst those thousands, there are a very few who are immune to the Solanum virus, but no one is fully immune to it. I am one of these people and I have lived through the start of this never-ending nightmare.
My name is Dr. Keri Maro from the San Francisco army research base. Just when we thought we hit something, the zombies that we held captive somehow got loose from their cells. As far as I know, Cero (my animal partner) and I are the only ones that were able to escape. The last order that was given to me by my commanding officer, was to go across the country to Washington D.C. and continue my research at the FBI's research lab. Why he ordered me to go to D.C.? Well I don't know. I guess I'll find out when I get there.

Rules
#1: I am the Goddess of this rp so what I say goes and I have the power to add more rules is I feel like it.
#2: No god-modding. I don't want to see any weapons that you can't find in a gun store being used unless you can tell me how you got that weapon.
#3: Violence, gore, and romance are highly encouraged. Keep the romance to PG-17 and no cybering.
#4: Ask before you kill another person's character.
#5: The max # of characters per person is 3 (not including pets)
#6: Please try to make the rp as realistic as possible.
#7: Try not to leave anyone out.
#8: Wait until I've accepted you before posting. Any post made before I've accepted you, will be deleted.
#9: Everyone must have a weakness. You don't need to tell anyone but they can't be perfect cause no one is perfect. That also means no Mary-Sues.
#10: If you are going to be leaving for a long period of time or not going to continue the rp, please pm me.
#11: Do not join and not post cause if you don't post for 1 weeks and you don't pm me to tell me why, then I will delete you and you will have to go through the character making process again if you want to come back.
#12: This is a semi-literate rp. Please use "blah" for speech and write out your actions. Use ((blah)) or {blah} or [blah] for our of character conversations.
#13: Keep one-liners to a minimum.
#14: PM me all profiles with the title "OMG! Zombies! Run!"
#15: Highlight this arrow Put a ninja somewhere in your pm to show that you have read the rules.
#16: I will try to even it up so we don't have more people that are immune then the non-immune people and more males than females.
#17: You may curse but don't over do it.

The Zombies
((This is just some stuff about the zombies so no one randomly makes up things about them. This is also for zombies that have no sense of self so if you are rping as a zombie you do not have to use these rules, but still kind of follow them. I don't want any super zombies.))
#1: You can only get infected if you get any of the zombie’s bodily fluid (blood, saliva, etc.) into your system.
#2: Flamethrowers do nothing because zombies do not feel pain, but if you are able to burn them into crisp then they work.
#3: Decapitation is the best way to go but beware of the head. As long as it still has functioning brain then it's still alive, just the head though.
#4: Zombies have red blood like a normal human not black or any other weird colors.
#5: They can run after you unless they don't have any legs. They'll just crawl them.
#6: Zombies have the same senses as normal humans, but their nose is a little better than a humans.
#7: Zombies cannot bleed to death.
#8: A zombie’s life span is based on how long it takes the body to rot away.
#9: There are no zombie animals. The virus only reanimates humans. It kills any animals that bet bitten.
#10: Zombies cannot have any special abilities, like super strength, unless they had that ability when they were human.

Keri slightly adjusted her radio trying to find a channel that was actually working. She didn't care which channel, she just wanted the unnerving silence to end. Keri glanced at Cero through her rear view mirror and smiled. Cero was taking much deserved nap. Just a couple of hours ago, they had stumbled across a large group of zombies during their feeding time. Though they were safe in they were safe in the car, some non-infected idiot tried to get inside so Keri and Cero were pulled into the fight against the evil zombies. It wasn't too much to deal with, but Cero had already swallowed a lot of Zombie blood the last night and adding more was upsetting his stomach. Now because of that idiot she had lost some precious ammo and Cero had an upset stomach. Luckily for the idiot, the zombies had already taken care of him before she got her hands on him.
Cero growled in pain as Keri drove over a bumpy road to get into the city. "Sorry Cero," Keri said softly even though it wasn't really her fault. She gently bit her lip as she searched for a sign, or at least part of one, telling her where she was. They didn't have a map because a hobo stole it to use it for his fire. "Where are we," she muttered under her breath as she cautiously drove into the city.

((EDIT: I did not really know the current state of DC so I assumed a mixture of zombie apocalypse and slight civilization. I hope that was a correct assumption))
Rudolf Strauß stretched lightly upon the floor of the abandoned Abraham Lincoln memorial. He was hungry, having gone a couple days without having feed. Normal for any human, right? What he was hungry for wasn't normal in the least. He was hungry for the flesh of human kind, now that he is but one of the many victims of Solanum. He, however, kept his sense of self, unlike most of his dead brethren.
He rose silently to gaze out at the Mall. He moved quickly out into the open and headed towards any one of the many roads nearby. He really did not care which, only seeking to find something to hopefully keep him sane for a bit longer and distract him from his urges.

"Cero I know where we are," Keri shouted making Cero jump at least a foot in the air. Keri was too happy to notice her companion's death gare as he slowly clawed up to the front to half sit on the passenger seat. Keri didn't fin a sign to tell her where she was, but the Lincoln memorial on her right was enough to tell her where she was. They had finally made it to D.C. and not a zombie in sight. Wait...scratch that, there was a male zombie a couple yards away from them. Keri slowed the truck into a stop then quietly pick up her gun. Cero slowly clawed to the back on the truck ready to jump though the door if needed to.

The nearby sounds of a car alerted Rudolf. He rose his hands high above his head, trying to make himself seem less of a threat in the typical surrender pose. "Wait, please don't shoot." he said, straining his decaying vocal cords.

Keri's brows buried in confusion. She though she heard the zombie tell her to shoot. She also thought she saw his mouth move with the words. "Oh god. Now I'm hearing and seeing things," she mumbled to herself. Against her better judgment, Keri slipped on a face mask and strapped her katana to her belt. "Cero, you stay here," she ordered before jumping out of the truck, "I'm gonna make sure I'm not going crazy."

Rudolf muttered to himself softly, fading slowly into a general conversational tone. "Thank goodness, someone who doesn't shoot on sight." He dropped his hands to his side. "Guten tag((translation: good day)). They call me Rudolf Srauß." He did not dare to stretch his hand for a handshake though. He was already working his vocal cords to much, and his hunger was now beginning to take hold.

Thankfully Keri had a mask on her face because if she didn't then Rudolf would she her jaw drop. She looked over at Cero to see if he was hearing the same thing too. By his surprised expression, Keri could happily say that she wasn't going crazy. "Uh, nice to meet you Mr. Srauß. One question, are you really a zombie or are you just really good with make up?" Cero had put a cooler filled with raw fish on the driver's seat. It wasn't human flesh, but it was still raw meat and it was enough to distract him for a little while.

"My apologies. I misspoke. My name is Strauß, not Srauß." he said, relaxing a little. A smell wafted a bit towards his nose, something he had now become accustomed to. After his zombificatin, it was the only thing that had been enhanced. "And, unfortunatly, I am what one would call, living impaired." he said, showing her a bite one his right arm that had yet to heal. This wound was the cause for his current condition. His body shook with the urge to feed. "And is that fish I smell?"

"Uh yea it is. You want some," she asked as she motioned for Cero to hand her the cooler. Cero grabbed the cooler handle with his mouth and hand it to Keri while keeping himself hidden. "So Mr. Strauß you are in fact zombie, but you are able to communicate with me." Keri was more speaking to herself than speaking to Rudolf.
((unfortunately I'm going to have to log off after my next post. I have guest in my house and yes your assumption is correct. Sorry I just saw what you wrote in your 1st post))
