Houdanse grumbled and sneezed as he kicked at yet another drift of snow and continued to wander aimlessly through the silent, snowy forest. He still couldn't believe that he had managed to get this lost, and on Christmas, no less. When I should be sitting down to a lovely dinner of plump, juicy chicken, instead of wandering alone and lost like this. He turned around and began to trail down another untouched stretch of trees, trying to find a hill or something to help him find his way.
"Aucune chose vivante en vue." Not a living thing in sight. "I knew this was a bad idea..." He walked on, looking back to the tangle of tracks he'd left in the pristine, icy blanket between the skeletal trees, their branches licked with icy hoarfrost and glittering in the orange glow of the setting sun. Soon, the orange faded to a blood red as he paced, then to a soft violet.
"What a predicament. Walk around, get more lost. Stop walking, and freeze. Ce n'est pas amusante..." This isn't funny... He shrugged deeper into his bright-red scarf, glad for the extra bit of warmth as the cool temperature dropped even further. "Magnifique. Now, I will get to freeze tonight, as well as being lost and alone. No amount of scrumptious, moist, succulent, chicken is worth this... I should have never left the hollow tree by that farm."

Christmas Day; Sang sighed as he floated around a small clearing in the woods. Ever since last night Sang had been quite busy, more wishes and people seemed to have got lost in the woods. Looking for fire wood maybe. And if you add to that the fact that Lucine and Superbia had forced him into looking after theirs kids while they prepared the dinner and places the gift under the tree…well it had been quite a busy night for the ghost. “One would think a ghost can’t get tired, right?...wrong” he said to himself with a faint sigh.
“An entire day lost….Je me demande si je le trouverai jamais ?” I wonder if I would ever find it there was only one reason Sang dans la neige decided to stay in those woods. He had died there, a long time ago, and once he came back as a ghost there was only one thing in his mind “I wish I could see you….just une dernier fois” just one last time. He had been wandering the woods, helping those who lost their way in the hope that one day he would fin that person he was looking for.
Still thinking and trying to remember who it was he was looking for Sang started floating deeper into the woods. The sun was hiding and if there was anyone lost they could freeze to death. Just one last round and he could head back to where the others were spending the day. It was until later on that he spotted somethign in the distance, a blurry red-ish spot. "oh look, j'ai trouvé un autre" lazily he made his way to the lost wish and once he was close enough to it he shook his chains a little bit to announce himself. "What are you doing out here on Christmas day?"

Houdanse turned when he heard a faint rattling of chains, and blinked at the translucent figure facing him. Old bloodstains showed on his snowy pelt. "Getting more lost, je pense," he remarked, too unsettled to even act like he wasn't surprised. "And, is it past midnight already? It is difficult to tell, underneath the trees, pretty though they might be." He settled down in the snow, fluffing up his fur for warmth while he considered the spectral apparition. After all, it would hardly be polite for him to continue to just walk away.

Sang took a closer looks at the lost wish. A halfblood,no doubt. His pelt was a red-ish sort of brown, very pretty in his opinion and he was wearing a red scarf and beret; probably what made Sang noticed him in the distance. "That i can see" he added softly as he looked up at the trees "je suis pas sûr, but i think it is" Sang took a quick look around, trying to decide which path would take the lost wish out of the freezing woods.
"My name is Sang dans la neige....i...help out those who get lost in these woods."after that he started floating away "You shouldn't lay down or you might freeze....you need to keep moving"

Houdanse merely nodded, and kept walking at the strange ghost's words.
"I am Houdanse. Oui, comme la poule. Laugh if you will, but my parents were fond of chicken. I am simply glad I was not named Bantam." he paused for a moment, the cold must have been getting to him. After all, he was babbling, even though he usually fancied himself the silent type. Then again, he was usually staking out a new farm to steal chickens from, an environment where talking would bring him to attention, and after the first shotgun incident, he never wished to repeat the exercise.

Sang every now and then just to make sure they were going the right way. The snow had covered all the roads and made the dead trees look all the same, a bad combination; right now even him could get lost. That thought make him shudder a bit remembering the day he had died. He shook of the thought and came back to reality, he needed to concentrate right now.
If his memory was not failing him there was a couple of farms nearby. If he managed to take the lost one there he could get some food, rest and even maybe a warm place to spend the night...the lost one....what did he said his name was?" Houdanse...c'est un très amusant nom " he managed to cover his chuckle with a fake cough and kept walking. "Meaning aside...the words itself sounds good...i think it;s a pretty good name....and yes, better than Bantam...that doesn't sound so good. "
It was not normal for Sang to talk that much, usually he just introduced himself, help whoever was lost find his/her way and float away looking up for the next person. Maybe he was tired? yea..that must be it, he was talking so much cause he was tired. The bloodied ghost lowered down a bit so that he could talk better with Houdanse"Were you looking for something?" he asked not being able to hide the tone of curiosity in his voice. "it's not normal for others to wander so deep into the woods...not with out a purpose at least"

Houdanse made an amused face. And I am hardly a regular person. "I often travel through here, on the main road, to travel between the farmsteads in the south, and to the east. it's one of the fastest ways... I must have gotten lost at one of the turnarounds. If travel I must to keep my belly full and my pelt off some farmer's wall, travel I will." He watched the white shape with interest.
"Et toi? Is there any reason that you do this, guiding people through forests, night in, night out? It is a noble deed, but I am sure there are many other things that you could do with your time." I would not wish to keep myself in one place like that, for any length of time... And there are so many other interesting places to see. As soon as he asked it, though, he started to regret the question - it could be something related to monsieur Sang's death, and that would be a severe break in decorum to demand something like that from him. "Si vous ne voulez pas répondre, je comprends." If you don't want to respond, I understand.

Traveling from farm to farm in order to get food? That seemed quite troublesome to Sang, but then again, it had been a long time since he had last need food, or water…or anything actually. It had also been a long time since Sang had thought about how it was to be alive. Once again the ghost shook his head, making his chains to rattle gloomily. “It seems like you lead an interesting way of life monsieur Houdanse. Always in the move…at least It keep you on your toes, that’s a good thing”
A finally, this part of the woods were more familiar to sang even thought they were still far from the nearest farm…how ever. Sang started looking around. I KNOW there was and old cottage somewhere around heeeeere…. Now where was it? then his attention went back to Houdanse “Moi? Pour quoi je…” Sang himsel and became solid , staining the snow crimson with blood. “I….a long time ago I was killed here..” he kept walking, leaving bloody paw prints in the snow “I don’t remember how but when I woke up like this I could only thing about one thing…. I just had to see someone, just one last time” this sole thought had been haunting him ever since his death and not even him knew who he was looking for ‘I know im looking for someone in these woods, that’s why I help those who are lost..i’m hoping someday the person I’m looking for will come”

"I... Je pense que je comprends." I think I understand. He looked down at the snow, turning back to watch the meandering line of paws behind them. "You are truly a..." He paused for a moment, wondering if what he had been about to say was appropriate, and then simply continues with it. "A noble soul, if you will." He watched as the ghost led him to an abandoned hut, and the larger wish stood momentarily on two legs to open the door. "You know... I think I might have seen this old cottage once or twice before," he remarked quietly, as he looked at the inside. There was enough dried wood piled next to the empty fireplace that he could start a fire. Thankfully, the abilities he had been graced by his father had included fire starting, and he managed in short order so start a small flame.

A soft smile formed in the ghost's lips "Noble soul?...wel..i wouldnt..i dont think i'm...." he had been call kind, insane, sweet...but noble? now that was a new one. "Merci, monsieur Houdanse" He finally added as he shook some snow off his head. He was still waiting for that special someone to show up but truth to be told.....he was getting tired of the woods, the wait....what would happen if he simply gave up?
He pushed that thought to the back of his head and looked ahead "You have? This used to belong to an old man. He was kind..." The ghost followed Houda inside the cottage and shook of the snow from his pelt, it had been a long time since he had became...well, solid. It was an interesting feeling to be able to touch things again. He thanked the fact that there was enough dried wood to start a fire. Now he only had to worry about Houda being hungry; he was just trying to remember if there was anything edible nearby when he noticed Houda had small flame out of nowhere. "Woa...now that's one useful trick"

"My mixed blood has afforded me this much," he commented quietly, as he walked over to one of the chairs and got onto two legs, moving it next to the fire, and laying his scarf and his hat onto it, so that they could dry out. "Et, oui, I believe that I have seen this place, passing by once or twice. This forest is not nearly so difficult to navigate in the day, in the summer, or even in spring or autumn."
He looked himself up and down, and then began to groom himself, so his pelt was all sticking in the right direction, the nearly featherlike pattern on him becoming more obvious with each stroke of tongue and paws. It wouldn't be until he was to rights - from horns to tail, scarf and hat dried and in place, that he could truly begin to feel like himself again. Well, maybe that and a good meal, too. "Merci, Sang dans la Neige," he said quietly, then added, "Forgive me for asking, but would you happen to go by any nicknames?"

"MixBlood huh?" Sang stared at him for a while and then nodded for himself. In all his years in the forest he had seen wishes from all the races, he also new each of them had different abilities but had never seen any of them in action. " Oh oui.." he commented as he stared into the flames, floating slightly over the floor again "as long as you don't go in too deep the forest is not difficult to navigate, however once the pace s covered in snow everything look the same and it's quite common for wishes to get lost..."
A soft smiled appeared in Sangs face and he bowed his head slightly "De rien Houdanse...I'm glad i could find you before you got frozen to death.." he snickered. The question seemed to surprise him a bit, nickname? "Nicknames?...i..had never thought about that. I...i guess those who talk to me call me just Sang since my name is long...or Lucine who call me Bloody ghost =x=" yea..Lucine was such a sensitive girl, eye roll. "But...nobody has ever given me a nickname.." he looked at Houdanse with curiosity. It seemed like this mixblood was making him question a lot of things that night....it was an interesting change to his normally dull and boring life.

Houdanse looked at the translucent figure before him and tilted his head to the side as he considered it. "Vraiment?" Really? "And I see already that you are such an amicable character... I wonder why no one has beaten me to it. For someone so... Ah, comment dit-on..." -he searched for a word, a paw waving in the air as if to grasp the one that would best suit the situation... "-éteint... as you are, you are certainly a very amicable fellow. Please, pardon my coarseness," he said, sitting to face the other wish, now that he was past that small, apparent dilemma. "I would not presume to know you well enough to give you a nickname yet... so, Sang will do for now." He looked down as his stomach made an audible growl. "Pardonnez-moi," the reddish-brown wish said apologetically, "But would you happen to know any good hunting grounds nearby?"
