Eun mi had her cubs. There was only one male that could be responsible for these cubs that now sprinted about her feet. Only one male she had been with. She had contacted him months ago about it and now only hoped that he'd come and claim some of his prises.
Eun Mi had birthed alot of cubs. A single mother couldn't take care of so many hungry mouths.

His heart throbbing in his chest, Mauja couldn't help but be anxious. He had never been sought out after an encounter with a female, but the bird he had heard it from seemed rushed. Without more than a few words, Nafsi let him go, quickly trotting through the tall grass. His eyes were glued ahead, and he only wondered what could be awaiting him.
His nose rose to the air, and he paused, mid-step. She was close, that much he knew. There were others with her, but he couldn't tell how many there were. He ran, now, following the scent of the blue cheetah he had seen many moons before. "Ah." His orange eyes drifted over to where she was, her blue coat sparkling out amongst the grass. "Uhm." He gulped, staring down at the little cubs that surrounded her.

Eun Mi couldn't have been more happy to see Mauja. She had nursed all the cubs and they had been weaned. But she couldn't raise them all now. It would kill her. Honestly she was surprised to see Mauja actually come back for the cubs. Not many males would have. Specially since their's had been a meeting by chance.
"Hi," She smiled, "Well, these are all yours."

"Are they now?" Mauja drew in a long breath; his litters had always been on the large side, but this was the largest of them all. "They're all so beautiful; like their mother." He pawed at one of them, playing gently with its small body. He gazed over them all; they were a perfect mix of them both. There was no doubt now that they were his.
"Eun Mi, darling, is the reason you called me here what I think it is?" He smiled, looking over at her. He had the feeling he knew what she wanted from him; seven cubs really could be quite a handful. Mauja was glad to help, though, as he adored cubs dearly. He had taken on ten at his own den so far, so he had learned how to provide for a large amount of cubs.

The female found no need to be coy, " I can't take care of them all, " She admitted as she eyed them at play. Truly she hated to seperate her cubs but there was just no way that she was going to be able to feed all those mouths.
"If you can spare to feed a few mouths that is. I can't watch them all and provide for them too. Im afraid we'll all die off if I take care of them that way."

"Ah, I see." He smiled, not surprised at all. "It's understandable. This is a rather.....massive litter." Mauja still played gently with the small cub, it serving as a nice distraction. "I would be happy to help you in any way." Tail flicking, he stopped playing, now looking directly at her. "You can decide how many you are able to part with." He knew that it must be hard for a mother to part with her cubs, even if it was for the best. He wouldn't force it on her; it was by her good graces that he'd take home any cubs at all.
"I'll let you decide on them, then?" He looked over them all, anxious to see which would be parting ways with the rest.

"Two," Eun Mi didn't even have to think about it. She could handle the remaining five but not all seven, not six, five she could. She still wanted to be a big part in their lives after all. Even the ones that didn't stay she wanted them to grow up knowing who their mother was.
But on her own it was not realistic.
"Two, " She repeated and nodded making sure that was enough.

"Two's perfect, love." Mauja nodded, still smiling. Two was such a nice number, and a manageable one on the return home.
"I suppose the next part is the hardest, hm?" He walked over to her, giving her a reassuring nudge. "The choice of which two, that is." He turned to look at the seven again, much of which were clumped around their mother's paws. "Don't rush, sweetheart." It would be heartbreaking to watch a mother pick which cubs she would be letting go.

Eun Mi shook her head. "I can't choose." She felt tears building up behind her eyes, but it was true. She couldn't choose between her childern. She loved them all.
"Would you mind choosing. I .. This was a big disission for me.." She lowered her head and sniffled some. These cubs were hers and his . She knew that. But at the same time Eun Mi wanted to take all seven of them and run away right then.

"You certain?" He glanced over at her, his smile replaced by a sympathetic look. He really didn't want to crush her by accidentally picking one that she was overly attatched to, but if she requested it, he would pick.
Looking over the bunch, he found it hard to pick just two. There were some that looked just like him, but he didn't want to take them from her. She also didn't want to take the ones that looked just like her. That left two. Going over to the small girls, he scooped the light brown one up in his maw, the other safely lumped in his paw. He turned back to Eun Mi. setting the two down directly in front of her. "These two, love?" He leaned his head down, looking at her sorrowful face.

Eun Mi looked at her two little girls. They seemed peacefully at bliss not knowing that this probably was the last time they'd ever see their mother and other siblings again.
"Yes," She said finally after a long moment."Yes those two are fine," She repeated, more trying to reassure her self then him. This was the hardest thing she'd ever done but it was something that must be done.
"Please take care of them.."

"I will, love." He nodded, gulping again. It was a hard moment, because he knew that once she had agreed he shouldn't linger too long; it'd just upset her more at the whole idea. It was a brave thing, choosing this route, and he was impressed by her courage. Some mothers would rather have seen their cubs die than part with them.
"Eun Mi, I promise that I'll bring them to visit you when I can manage it." He smiled just a bit, hoping that it'd work when the cubs grew a little. "As long as I can find you."

Eun Mi nodded. After all they were in the great plains of Africa. It wasn't like they were in a small town and he could just look her up. Nor could she do the same.
"Good bye Mauja" She turned her back on him and her two little girls. Tears fled down her cheeks. But what could she do? Her babies were better off with Mauja.

"Goodbye, love." He said his last words, quickly picking up the two small cubs. One was gently nestled between his shoulder blades, and other in his mouth. He felt like a mother, carrying the two, but it was nice. He'd be true to his word and bring them back to their mother, once they were old enough. But for now, he focused on returning home with his two perfect little girls.
