He smelled the crisp morning air cheerfully as he looked about the area. Mostly deserted... His ears drooped a little. Maybe he'd be able to find more life if he started looking around a bit more. There were bound to be boundless of femmes running around somewhere! He wouldn't miss a single one--he'd vowed that he wouldn't! Of course, considering how little success he'd been with any females thus far in his life, he hoped the next one he encountered would be... easier. Tricking, complimenting, anything to get a female to fall in love with his honored self... that was great fun. He knew next to nothing about actual love, so as far as Lerothwana was concerned, it mattered little if he broke a female's heart... He was only in it for fun, after all.
"Well, the sun's up, my belly's full... let's get huntin'," he chuckled to himself, and began to skulk about, looking for any female--all females were appetizing to him, be they confident, violent (maybe...), unconfident, cute, pretty, beautiful, shy... the list could go on and on. He especially loved the pure and innocents ones... they were just so... fun. Of course, he'd yet to figure out how to "open" their hearts to romance, but well, practice makes perfect, so he had to hunt down as many innocent females as possible... otherwise, how would he get better!? The quiet ones were the most fearsome, and while the violent ones were... questionable, he was at least very fleet of foot. He was a cheetah, after all. He chuckled to himself merrily as he went on his way.

"Get.Away.From.Me." The sound of gritted voice could be heard from the distance and cheerful laughter filling the air when an orange small cheetah sprints across the plains, away from the pride of irate lions she was 'playing with'. "Silly buffalos! Cheetahs are the fastest animals!" Amai calls over her shoulder with a spirited laughter following right after her comment. The cheetah 'dances' closer to the herd of gazelles playfully, not quite getting the idea of hunting properly since the plains is her personal playground.
"I am hun..." Amai started as she looks around for her family and her ears droops little bit when she realizes that she strayed too far from her family. "..gry..." She mumbles as she looks at gazelles with wide eyes, wondering about how to catch one of them. "Hi! Can I eat one of you guys?" She screeches at the gazelle, displaying the fact that she is hopelessly innocent and naive.
The gazelles skittered away from Amai nervously. Amai watched them with dismay evident in her face when she moves closer. "I don't think it will hurt! I just need some food.. I am HUUUUNGRY!" She whines as she trots after the pack of gazelles. "Please please please?"

He blinked as a cheerful (if very innocent) voice reached his ears. Definitely female... and definitely having some problems hunting for food. He peered around the boulder that was hiding his view, and there about he found the female with the happy voice... who seemed to think talking to prey would make them go to her and die. Silly females. But this was why he loved the innocent ones... they were far too cute. He watched her for a little longer... and finally decided he ought to help her out. After all, he couldn't just leave her by herself, now could he? And since the gazelles couldn't figure out if she was trying to kill them or not... they were just standing there... perfect targets. He lashed his tail about then, deciding which course of action would be best... then he realized...
If he got a gazelle, he could "share" it with the cute female... and sneak a kiss off her... and since she was the pure type... she'd think nothing of it... oh, this was perfect! He hunched himself down, readying his oh so awesome legs for that perfect speed he was oh so wonderful with. 1... 2... 3!!! And off he went, plowing down towards the weakest looking gazelle, intent and purpose in his eyes. He was a silver-purple blur, racing at top speed as he tackled the surprised prey, snapping its neck and killing it instantly. As the gazelle herd ran off, he turned to the female, dropping the dead gazelle at his paws. "Hello, there! Didn't see you... would you care to join?" Oh ho, yes, his plan was going well... perfectly well. "I'm Lerothwana, by the way. You can call me Roth, though, babe." He winked at her, executing his most "handsome" he could get.

"Please? Just one will do.. maybe a tiny one?" Amai wheedled with the gazelles whom are standing around, looking confused to why the cheetah is talking to them. "I won't huuuuuuuuuurt you.. I am just so hun..." She emits a squeak of surprise when gazelles scattered, leaving one weak one flailing under a male's maw. Her eyes widens as she stares at another cheetah when he dropped the carcass at front of his paws and she frowns at him. "Roth?" She blinks owlishly as she didn't move from her spot near now empty space and frowns in puzzlement and disappointment at him.
"You should apologize to those gazelles! you didn't ask to take one of their family members!" Amai scolds Roth with a frown as she looks at the lifeless eyes of gazelle and shakes her head. "Its RUDE to take things when it doesn't belong to you, Roth! I want you to go over there and apologize to them." But she couldn't prevent her mouth from watering at the sight of the meat that is laying right there in front of Roth. "Oh by the way, I am Amai Kabocha." She smiles sunnily at him.

If he hadn't been so intent on trying to impress this female... apologizing to the prey? Did this female's parents just... what in the world? What kind of twisted pure cheetah was this? Well... whatever. She wanted it... he might as well... as stupid as it sounded. "Er... pleasure to meet you, Amai Kabocha. Okay if I just call you Amai?" he queried, and then slowly but surely moved his paws over to the quivering gazelle who were staring at him with those wide eyes of fear. He coughed, and then without quite looking at them, said, "Uh, yeah. Uh, I came here to, ah, say I'm sorry for killing a family member and all. Y'know, the whole keeping each other alive... and stuff." Hopefully that apology was enough... this was already awkward... and weird.
Now then, back to the femme. "So, Amai-baby," he smiled cockily at her, "wouldn't you care to try that delicious meat with me...?" That's right, follow the plan, follow the plan... "I killed it to eat, but I'm not that hungry... wouldn't you rather eat and share it with me..." So I can slip in and cuddle and steal a kiss... And start a count of how many females he'd entertained and lured in and... such. He'd start with Amai, since she already seemed to be reeled in by him as it was. Pure types like Amai were the hardest challenges, but well, all in good time. He was sure to change her bit by bit to see the truth behind all this "romance" she was in for. Ha! C'mon, beautiful, take the bait... take it! he urged silently in his mind.

Amai smiles sunnily at Roth and bobs her head. "Sure, you can call me Amai. That's what everybody calls me anyway." She replies as she trots behind Roth, watching him intently as he apologizes to gazelles. "Thank you for apologizing to them, Roth." She looks at him then she looks at gazelles. "Forgive him! He doesn't know that he had to ask for the permission." She calls toward them, not aware that its very ODD for a cheetah to be this friendly toward gazelles.
"Amai-baby? My name is Amai or Amai Kabocha. Not Amai-baby" Amai frowns at Roth in confusion, not knowing that she is being flirted with as she eyes the gazelle's body with hungry eyes. "Oh? why did you kill it if you weren't that hungry? daddy always tells me that if I want to kill to eat, I need to make sure that I am VERY hungry or the meat will go waste or go to dogs." She nods sagely as she moves inch by inch toward the gazelle. "But okay. I would like to eat and share it with you! It should be nice." She beams happily at Roth. ".. which side do you want to have?" She looks at the male expectantly not aware that something interesting is going to happen.
The female moves toward the belly section and crouches down low to the ground, nuzzling against the gazelle's belly while keeping her eyes on Roth. "I usually wait until my mama and other females are done eating before I eat." She says uncertainly as she looks at the stomach area. "So I don't usually.. get this area that often." She frowns slightly at the thought of having to eat the back meat again. The back meat doesn't satisfy her since it doesn't have enough fat or meat on the bone.

Amai was the most interesting female he'd met to date: and he didn't even mean anything involving a relationship by that! "Er... Amai, then," he agreed, more amused than anything. "And, you can have the juiciest part if you want. There's no other females around..." I wish! he added internally, "...and well, it's just us. Since I'm not all that hungry, you can have the best part if you want..." He smiled back at her when she smiled at him, though he was still uncomfortable with the idea of hanging around this female for too long. Apologizing to prey? Did this female's pride go around doing that all the time? It was certainly a unique way of hunting but... still. They probably didn't get much to eat...
In any case, it was time to execute his plan. Scoot closer... inch by inch, he soon settled down next to her, getting as close to her as he possibly could. First, cuddling. Second, steal a kiss. It was just that simple! And she wouldn't know what, er, kissed her! Just like that! He was, after all, a cheetah, and speed was his forte... followed of course by getting as many females as possible... duh. Lerothwana lashed his tail about lazily before he settled it on top of Amai's. Being the pure time, she really wouldn't have any idea what he was doing, just being overly friendly... probably. He hoped. He wasn't always aware with these pure types.
He waited for her to get started on the meat. "You can go ahead and eat, you know..." he commented, watching her ever so carefully. "I'm not going to steal it or take it away, or anything." Well, I might just steal something yet... he mused thoughtfully, and continued to watch her through pale lavender eyes. Wait for it... wait for it... Why did the pure types go about things so strangely!? Maybe he should have picked a better target...

Amai's eyes widens in pleased surprise as she hears that she finally is going to get the juicy and tender meat all for herself. "Are you sure? I don't want to be a greedy lion and take all of it for myself." She breathes out, sounding like she is purring while she nuzzles against the gazelle's belly while licking the fur off so they wouldn't get stuck between her teeth. "Do you want me to clear one spot off for you? I don't mind doing that." She says, looking comical with her fur-covered tongue sticking out of her mouth.
The cheetah female starts into the belly happily, not aware of Roth scooting really close to her with his tail lashing around near hers before landing on top of hers. After few mouthfuls of meat, Amai turns her head toward Roth with wide eyes seeing how close he is to her. "Hi!" She blinks as she starts to lick her chops to get the blood and residual meat pieces off. "You are sitting really close to me. If you wanted some of the belly section, just tell me and I will happily move over so you can eat. I am really full right now." She purrs contently and takes in another breath to purr more. "Thank you for killing the gazelle and sharing it with me." She beams at him sunnily while she looks like she is getting ready to stand up.
"I wanna go for a run to work out the energy! Do you want to come with me?" Amai smiles at him, not aware that he is only sticking around because he wants something more than her company. "I like you, Roth. We should be friends!" Amai excitedly says as she managed to get up on her paws without falling over. She can be very clumsy sometimes.

...Dammit! He was so close, and then she moved. He sighed. Now, how to...? A run...? Did she say... a run!? "Amai, I don't think you'll be able to run off the energy you're exuding..." he commented, a smile tugging at his lips. "And, well, don't worry about me... I'll be fine. And you can bring this back to your family to eat... they'd enjoy it, I'm sure." And hopefully I can steal a kiss... but why is it so hard to steal a kiss from... well, ol' boy, you got yourself a challenge... Mentally grumbling to himself about how females these days were incredibly hard to seduce, he stared at the dead gazelle, contemplating deeply.
Well, whatever. Maybe he could get her to stick around with him a bit longer. She seemed like she could use a friend after all. "I'll run with you, Amai. It'll be my pleasure." My pleasure indeed. He purred quietly as he moved to stand next to her. "Killing the gazelle was all for you," he admonished. "There's no need to thank me." She had that cute smile most innocent types had, the ones that could melt even the coldest and cruelest of felines' hearts. "Well, I like you, too, Amai." He winked, and nodded. "Sure, let's be friends... friends always stick together, you know!" Just what was he getting himself into...?

"You are not coming for a run?" Amai frowns as she peers at half-eaten gazelle then at the male. "I can't carry this over the distance to my family. There is too many scavengers waiting to eat this gazelle. Like that little pack of hyenas over there." She looks at hyenas with owlish eyes, wondering if they will talk to her or chase her off like they usually do with her family. "I wanna say hi to them!" She perks up as she was about to trot over to greet the hyenas when Roth finally agreed to run with her.
"Really?! you will come for a run with me? We can do that after I tell them that they can have rest of this gazelle." Amai smiles up at Roth. "Will you come with me and talk to them before we go for a run? Maybe we can find a pond or lake to jump into to play?" She perkily says as she dances around Roth happily, while she couldn't believe that she gained a friend and she is over the moon about it!

Pack of hyenas? He turned and stared at the pack of canines with an indifferent look. Why in the world would Amai want to greet rival predators like this stupid dogs? Whatever. These stupid hyenas were interfering with his plan to woo Amai--not that it was going successfully so far, but still--and he did not intend to greet them cheerfully as Amai did. "Yse, I'll come with you... I don't want you to be alone without me, after all," he smiled back at her, just before she began to bounce around him in circles. She was perhaps the most innocent and cheerful cheetah he'd ever met.
...Seriously.
"I... guess I'll come and talk to them... you can do the talking though, Amai," he answered cautiously. "I, uh, am not exactly fond of hyenas, you know." I'd rather tear them to pieces but, well... A pond or lake? Hm... that sounded fantastic, actually. "Sure, let's see if we can find a pond or lake to play in, sweetie." He turned to start walking towards the hyenas, following Amai as she led them towards that pack. He made sure to hide his frown while emitting a dangerous aura as they both got closer. He did not like to share food with an entirely different and opposite species... lions or leopards--that was fine. But hyenas!?
"Amai, I have a present for you after we're finished with everything, ok?" A present called a kiss, he added mentally. Well, at any rate, he was going to act his plan out, one way or another. One had to be flexible... yes, very flexible.

Amai peers at the pack of hyenas whom is inching in closer with their heads bobbing up and down, looking menacing and she frowns at them. "Why are they looking so... grumpy and like they want to rip us apart?" She murmurs in confusion to Roth as she instinctively steps back when hyenas gets even more closer with her hackles raised. The cheetah female frowns as she eyes one hyena when it lunged in and yanked the gazelle's leg, dragging the carcass away then all of the hyenas dove in, ripping the gazelle's body apart.
"They don't have any manners!" Amai huffs as she frowns at Roth. "Talk to them! Tell them to apologize to me!" She pouts at her male companion. Her emerald eyes gleams with hurt while she looks at the pack of hyenas whom is snarling and scarfing down the carcass loudly. "On other thought, I don't like rude hyenas so let's go for a run." Her voice is rich with hurt as she turns around, walking away from the scene. "
"Present?" Amai's ears immediately perks up as she turns her head toward Roth with a now happy smile. "I love getting presents!" She exclaims as she dances in the spot. "Let's go to the pond or lake! I wanna to play in the water!" Her tail wags excitedly in the air.

He snarled in silence at the hyenas as they grabbed the leftovers of his meal he had gotten for Amai without so much as a by-your-leave or even thank you. Not that it mattered, he hated their kind. He brushed his tail against Amai's gently as he tried to soothe the hurt cheetah female. "Don't worry, m'dear, they're brutes who don't know any better." He bared his fangs viciously at the pack, and felt satisfied when he scared them off (though they dragged off the meat with them, selfish twats). However, his mentioning of a present seemed to cheer up his companion amiably.
Smiling in endearment, Lerothwana pondered the best way to give his gift to Amai, and then grinned in that cunning cat-like way. "Your present Amai... come closer, and I'll give it to you." All he had to do was seal a kiss, though he wasn't sure if she would understand the meaning behind it, but that was fine. He wasn't too especially attached to this innocent cutie, but at the very least he ought to reward her nicely. It wasn't every day he had to challenge himself to win the affection of... innocence.... like this.
"So, once I give you the present, shall we find a pond or lake or something?" It wasn't really hard to find bodies of water in their area, but it was difficult to find one with... privacy. Of course, he mused, he didn't care to be seen, but the little one bouncing around him probably would... or maybe she'd attempt to make friends and invite them to come and play. Agh... that would be troublesome... but maybe she'll make friends with other females... Liking the idea that more females might be around, he made sure he agreed to Amai's idea of swimming.
