~Squad Three Riverside~
This is a riverside of squad three. It is in the middle of a forest. The river its self is a beautiful glacier, it sparkles in the sunlight and twinkles in the moonlight. This area is often used for relaxing but has from time to time become the area of conflict.

Takumi arrived at the third division's riverside after meeting with his captain in Rukongai. He told himself that he would patrol around the division grounds one more time the moment he got back. Instead, he went straight to the riverside just to relax himself a bit by spending some time in a serene area. His footsteps were silent as he walked under a big shady tree. He sat down and leaned back on the trunk of the tree. He listened to everything around him; the sparkling flowing water under the sun; the birds chirping as they rested on tree branches; the breeze ruffling through the trees and making them sway. He closed his eyes for the briefest moment and immediately he fell into deep slumber. It seems that he was more tired than he thought he was.

Yokozuki had grown tired of his office so he ventured out to the Riverside, only to see his Lieutenant sleeping by the riverside. "Glad that's not me, or my nose would get broken again" Yokozuki didn't disturb Takumi, he only walked by the side of the river and watched the glistening water sparkle all over. He didn't smile at the river, only stared at it with a blank face, something was bothering Yokozuki, but what it was he didn't even know.

Takumi was known to be a light-sleeper, so his so-called deep slumber would just be a little less than a normal person's sleep. Yokozuki's arrival disrupted his sleep which caused him to slightly open his right eye. He saw a vague figure of a person from a distance. This alarmed him and made him think that there was an enemy by the riverside. Both of his eyes widened and in surprise, he instinctively moved back and hit his head on the tree's trunk. A 'thud' could be heard as he did. He had been half asleep since that time and only after did he realize that the man was wearing a white haori with the third division's insignia at the back. As he rubbed the back of his head thinking how much of an idiot he was. This brought shame to his title as the second-in-command of the division that specialized in Information and Intelligence. "I think some of my brain cells die when I sleep..." he muttered to himself.

Yokozuki's eyes widened as he heard a thump sound. He turned his head to witness his Lieutenant in a daze rubbing his head. He moved slightly towards him and rubbed his own head in confusion. "Oh, Takumi, I was trying not to wake you, you seemed so peaceful, but...." Yokozuki lifted an eyebrow in concern. "Is your head alright?" He said now gently tapping Takumi's forehead.

Even after realizing that the man was indeed his captain, Takumi still acted as if he was a stranger -- an opponent even. Though his mind was already awake his body went back to sleep mode a few seconds after he hit his head. His hand dropped down to the ground and he had a blank gaze in his eyes. He heard but was not able to respond to his captain's question because of this. In less than five seconds, his right hand clenched into a fist and swiftly punched Yokozuki's face. About two seconds after that, the liveliness went back in his eyes and he began to take in the events that took place in such a short time. "It seems I have punched your face, captain." He said this with a straight face as if it wasn't a big deal that he just bashed his captain's face with his own fist for absolutely no reason at all while he was still half asleep. He didn't apologize for his actions but only stared down at his captain's eyes, as if confused.

Yokozuki fell backwards landing on the ground, clenching his face with both his hands. "Tak-Takumi you traitor! You've sided with Kyuuai...her b***h-like attitude has rubbed off on you hasn't it? WHY! WHY! WHY! Why is it always my face, I'm not going to have one at this rate, honestly, what is with my squad" Yokozuki flailed about for a moment, almost like he was having a temper tantrum before he calmed down and stood up. "Admit it!" He said, pointing at Takumi with his right hand and still grasping his face with his left. "You've been taken in by Kyuuai! That..." He began mumbling.

A foot came up and hit Yokozuki hard in the face, sending him flying. "What was that?!?!." Kyuuai said with a shaking fist. She looked down to Takumi. "Honestly, what are you doing down there?!?! Get up and start acting like you should be!." She forcefully pulled him to his feet by the scruff of his neck then wandered off to Yokozuki to administer more beatings.

Yokozuki flew off into the distance and landed hard on his back. "Kyuuai! You...you..." He decided not to say what he was about to in fear of being attacked. He sprung to his feet "You're going to pay for that! I'm your captain, you need to start treating me with more respect or I'll punish...pun.....p...." He began to loose breath as she neared him, a shiver went up his spine, he used a quick flash step and appeared behind the tree that Takumi was in front of. "You, Takumi, go teach her a lesson." He whispered so quietly even Takumi, who was near him, would have a hard time understanding.

"No, actually I was just--" Takumi was cut in the middle of his words when Kyuuai came out of nowhere and kicked Yokozuki hard enough for him to be sent flying a good few meters away. He saw this scene occur almost everyday, so he wasn't surprised at all when she suddenly popped out. "I was--" Yet again, he was stopped from completing his sentence as he was dragged around by Kyuuai. "I actually just wanted to rest..." he muttered under his breath, silently. "But I guess that's not possible now that the beast has been angered again." He followed his captain with his eyes and with his sensitive ears due to being quiet all the time, heard what he said about teaching Kyuuai a lesson. "Teach her a lesson?" He turned his eyes to Kyuuai, his captain, then back to Kyuuai before hitting her on the head with his fist. "Like this?"

Kyuuai stopped, her face went blank as her hair hung in front of it. "Takumi...." A red glow appeared around her, and the atmosphere went cold. "You're going to pay for that!" She sprang up lively again, she seemed to be a ten foot tall creature with glowing red eyes, sharp teeth, sharp claws and a aura of flames surrounding her. "I will teach YOU a lesson, one that I will make sure neither of you forget!"

"Wh-wh!" Yokozuki could hardly speak, Kyuuai was really out of it. Yokozuki quickly grabbed Takumi and in a flash the two were gone. In moments he reappeared somewhere else along the river, far enough away from Kyuuai. Yokozuki set Takumi down, he himself plopped down on the ground and sighed, placing either hand on its respective sides knee. "You really have to watch yourself, what were you thinking anyways? why in the world would you hit her on the head, she's psychotic that girl, she would have really killed you, well, good thing I'm quick on the draw anyways." He chuckled a bit with a stupid grin.

Takumi laughed at his captain's remark after sitting down beside him. He was clearly out of his mind today, despite already being fully awake from slumber. He should have known better than to laugh at subjects concerning Kyuuai. For all he knew, she might just eat him alive right at this very moment. "Don't you think that's what makes her interesting?" Something was off in the tone of his voice and it didn't sound like the usual. Then again, it would be difficult for one to notice the change for his voice was rarely heard by the others, even by his own captain. If ever he did speak, it was usually in a low volume. He had a smirk on his face when he stood up once again and executed a flash-step to approach Kyuuai. He appeared just in front of her and knelt down on one knee so he was face to face with her. He remained unfazed even when she had a cold aura radiating around her. "You know..." He placed a hand on her head and leaned forward until the tip of his nose touched hers. "You look cuter when you're mad~"

Everything had happened so fast. She was about to walk off in search of her captains and Lieutenant when Takumi appeared before her again, he got close and her face went as red as a tomato. "Tak-Takumi-fukutaichou..." She was stunned, she couldn't even get mad, she only returned a look with wide eyes and a quivering bottom lip.

Takumi's grin grew wider when he saw how Kyuuai reacted. He leaned closer and kissed her softly on the cheek before wrapping his other arm around her waist to pull her closer into a hug. "Gotcha~" The pattern of his dictation sounded odd and it made it really difficult to determine what exactly he was thinking or planning. Half of it sounded like he was only kidding, and the other half sounded like he was actually serious about this. He was acting so different from how he was before. Perhaps this was a hidden side of him that nobody knew about. "Kyuuai..." His voice faded and the rest of his sentence became inaudible.
