Personality: Stubborn but sweet and caring towards all creatures, very curious and full of hopes and dreams.
History: Aerin is a Prince of the sea, the youngest son of Poseidon, but the world of the sea bores him. That is why he finds the surface so interesting and worth exploring. He loves his father but often disobeys him and gets himself into trouble.

Personality: Pretty open, kind, loyal... need I say more...?
History: Rei has never had any delusions, he knows why their father did what he did, and he doesn't mind, even though he's half human and has the ability to change into a human -at a cost. It's always been his secret, no one except the immediate family know that she's really a he, though 'she' sometimes acts as secretary for their father...
He remembers fuzzy images of his mother, but not enough to care much, though he has been curious.

Age: Unknown
Position: Seke, Heterosexual
Personality: Hates humans, but loves his 'youngest' son, Aerin, so when another son was born, he ordered that the child be raised as a girl because not only were they in need of princesses, but he wanted Aerin to be able to rule after him.
History: Once...When he was younger... He fell in love with a human woman, and with her, he bore a son... But things happened and... Well, let's just say it did not go well... Of course, it may have been his fault, not telling her he was a Merman and king of the sea... But then again, we can understand why a normal person would not... or, rather, merman. But he had met her because he had snuck onto land as a Human.

The Sea Wizard and friend to the Prince
Age: Uknown, says he is 25
Position: Sadistic Seme
Personality: Sadistic, always has a hidden agenda, sneaky and sly. He loves toying with humans and mermen alike. Dangerous, and childishly stubborn.
History: He often uses his magic on himself to go back and forth from the Mermen kingdom to the Human one. As a human, be befriended the young Prince, and as his true form he is a dangerous character. He has a reputation of misfortune that has befallen nearly all of his 'customers' who come to him for help, for his magic.
He charges a high price, and the price for those who fail to meet the payment specified after a certain time limit(different for each client), must pay an even greater price. Not so bad as Ursula, as he plays fair, he is still notorious in the Mermen kingdom. Balthezar refers to himself as Kaza when in the human world, and makes himself look to be around the Prince's age.

The Prince
Age: 18
Position: Seme
Personality: Kind and gentle soul, passionate but sort of lost(without purpose). He sometimes acts slightly air-headed and clueless, but only pretends to be. He has a sharp mind and a sharp eye.
History: He is the only son of the current king. He has a baby sister, but no other siblings. Yuusuke has a love of the ocean and all wild life, one that his father finds hard to understand. His father hired a bodyguard or two to keep him safe, and Yuusuke is very much aware of the "White Tiger". He likes hunting and archery as hobbies, though he rarely actually hurts an animal.

Mercenary Employee [Bodyguard to the King and Prince]
Age: 21
Position: Dangerous Uke
Personality: Quiet and Serious for the most part, and loyal.
History: Taichi has no remembrance of his past before the age of 5, but he was taken into a mercenary group, who'd captain was like a father to him. As he grew, his skills with the sword grew. Eventually, he became known as the "White Tiger" renowned for his skills. After the death of his adoptive father, he traveled around as a lone mercenary until he was hired by the King, at first, he had refused, he had younger then, but eventually, he agreed. And so the "White Tiger" came to live in the castle as a bodyguard to the king, but now, he was been ordered to keep the castle secure, and make sure the Prince is safe. He's rarely seen anywhere but the shadows, but he is there.

Friend and distant relative to Yuusuke
Age: 20
Position: Seme
Personality: Cocky, arrogant but friendly and kind. Confident, and oozing sex-pheromone.
History: He is the eldest son of Lord Nanjiroh Echizen, one of the Lords that owns a fair amount of lands in the kingdom. He grew up in the Islands, his family running the archipelago off a ways from the mainland where the castle resides. He calls the prince 'Chibisuke', despite Yuusuke's protests about it. He was made the princess's godfather, while his younger twin sister is the girls godmother. He has arrived for the prince's birthday as a special guard, and is quite proficient in hand-to-hand as well as sword-fighting.

It was a hectic evening in the prince's kingdom, as tomorrow was his birthday celebration. The servants were getting all the final preparations completed so that the whole day could be spent(wasted, in his opinion) on celebrating his 18th birthday.

His father insisted on these huge celebrations for his two childrens' birthdays. While his little sister loved it, being only five, Yuusuke found it tedious, annoying and pointless. The amount of money spent on these lavish celebrations was ridiculous. Think of what good it could do for the kingdom, but it was being wasted on a party he had no desire to participate in.

Then there were all the young ladies and foreign princesses that were invited each year, since he turned fourteen. All of them vying for his attention and his affections in hopes of becoming his queen one day. The mere thought had him rolling his eyes and looking rather disgusted. All those women saw was his title, his status as future king.

So, to avoid all the unnecessary bustle of the palace this evening, Yuusuke slips out as inconspicuously as possible for the Crown Prince. He hurries to the stables to saddle and mount his horse. Then he quietly nudges the horse out of the barn and into an easy walking pace.

Once they've made it past the town surrounding his fathers castle, with exchanges of pleasant greetings to the townspeople he passes, Yuusuke whistles for his best friend with wings, KazeShiro. The hunting bird he trained personally flies to him immediately. Yuusuke smiled as the bird gracefully landed on his outstretched arm.

The trail that the prince chose would lead to the beach which stretched past the castle in both directions. It would be empty of people, as the town was getting ready for the night, or making their own preparations to celebrate their 'beloved' prince's birthday. The whole town was fond of the kind prince, and he cared about the well-being of all whom he would rule over one day.

Yuusuke sighed softly to himself. His father was going to make him choose a bride from one of the young maidens that was going to be at his party tomorrow. Even though he would not be require to my until near his coronation, which his father assured him was not going to be for another two years at the least, he would have to choose a fiance.

He didn't want to tell his father that he would never fall for any of the young ladies, ever, because his father probably would still insist that he choose a bride anyways. As long as he chose a girl from good family and social standing, his father didn't mind if the marriage was loveless. He was most concerned about status, and the continuation of the bloodline. He shivered, sickened by the thought of having to bed one of the stupid upperclass women he's met so far.

True the women had indeed been beautiful, but that was all they were. Few cared about anything but money and looks and power. That was all he was to them, a way to gain more power and status. The prince was soon lost in thought, and his horse seemed to notice, and so chose a careful route to bring his owner to the ocean-side. KazeShiro repositioned himself on Yuusuke's shoulder so the young man could lower his arm.
