The sky above was clouded and grey, allowing barelly any bit of light to shine upon this barren land of death. True to the name, Kage Boushi - The Crimson Shadow, a dark and crimson shadow seemed to glide gently over the wasteland toward the bridge. Once it had reached the beginning of the bridge, a form began to rise out of the crimson. A tall man, his eyes a pure shade of red, no pupils visible. Cascading down his back all the way to his calves flowed a sea of cherry red hair, as silky to the touch as the purest cloth. His skin, a pasty shade of pale, looks as if it has never seen the bright sun. He wears a torn and ripped cloak down his back under his hair, also a dark shade of red. He wears a normal commoner shirt and a pair of bright red leather pants, but no shoes... Looking across the bridge to see the Angel, Kage Boushi seemed to hover over the cracked stone of the bridge until the distance between the two was a close six feet. He stayed silent..

The charged stone beneathe the Angel's feet discharged and grew dark at each step he took, recharging moments after his feet left the stone. The very binding energy of the bridge was being drawn into his masterful form, the two wings of what appeared to be solid blood folded close behind him so as not to catch the wind.
As he approached the bloodied bag was tossed between them to land with a wet thud. MD's voice came charged with the energy of the very planet itself, "It is done. Take the head and do with it what you will. Now, my reward." His eyes flared with light at the last word, matching a pulse that flowed through the ground, lighting up the entire surface of the rock wall on both sides, the heartbeat of Gaia itself. Up on the ridge several Soldiers were waiting in case The Crimson Shadow backed out of the deal, which would be very foolish indeed. Watching there seemed to be what looked like a pseudonatural beholder, an odd sight, to be sure.
When taken, the ruby would explode outwards, but much differently than a normal Dominion Nuke. This one was charged with binding energies, the goal being to seal off the area to prevent magical means of escape, and would cause no harm. MD was fast enough to cut of any physical means himself.

Kage Boushi's own shadow seemed to arch forward, engulfing the bag in its crimson radiance. With a look of drained emotion on his face, Kage turned slowly and began to walk back towards where he had come. This fool had believed he was going to be paid for such an easy assignment..

The walls of the gorge seemed to come alive as the heartbeat of Gaia itself pulsed around them once more, the stone within reacting poorly to the attempt to be taken. So poorly, in fact, that the element within was unleashed. Streams of white light pules outward to link to the walls of the gorge, utilizing the converging laylines to amplify the effect. Streams of semisolid energy began to link between each side for a quarter mile in each direction, a shell of light and energy blocking out the skies above, but leaving the endless abyss below free for one to fall to their demise. Which is not to say, however, that dropping would allow alternate means of travel such as teleportation. The walls themselves were acting as huge jamming devices for any means of travel that weren't based on purely physical means such as non-magical flight or walking with one's own feet. The Soldiers and beholder seemed to drop lower so as to see through the energy barrier, unphased by it. The Ruby has been destroyed.
The Angel of Pwn glared at the other, "I will exact my payment, one way or another. Possesions of yours, or possesion of yourself, both I can take. Reconsider taking one more step." His words were not spoken with an idle body, light springing up around him as shards of ruby began to form in one hand and a Lance of crimson light began to formk in the other. His wings seemed to lose their solid state, pulling around him like a cloud that pressed ever outward, unphased by the prevailing winds.
~~~OOC~~~ Yes, there are now many bridges just like the one we started on, half a mile in each direction with some above and some below the current elevation. Only way to escape is walking or flight, and even the best (or magically aided) fliers would have trouble in the crosswinds.
Kage turned, an unconcerning look upon his face as he spoke. "If you wish to gather your payment.. Come and take it from me.." He said in a low, yet smooth voice before leaping from the bridge as his heavily damaged cape whipped and flew back in the wind caused by the fall. Kage quickly shifted into a diving position, increasing his speed as he fell down the seemingly bottomless gorge. It was doubtful that the Angel would attempt to come for him...
The Angel of Pwn glared at him as he leapt from the bridge, eye twitching for a moment as the bridge fell away from under him, the energy within stolen away, forming up in the ruby. The Lance darted downwards with a speed fitting of pure light, latching onto the charged walls somewhere far below to accelerate his descent. The beholder was attempting to follow, watching with normal sight, but keeping up was...difficult. the Angel would continue sending down lances that not only acted as a means to accelerate, but also as light in the abyss. His own eyes glazed over with a crimson sheen as sight was lost to him, auras and the flows of energy revealed to his Sightless Eyes to keep track of exactly where The Crimson Shadow was headed.
The Crimson Mist trailed begin the Angel, creating a path not only to allow the beholder to accurate follow, but forge eyes along the path so his opponent could not double back the way he had come should the Angel somehow lose sight of him, which was unlikely as the rockwalls prevented leaving magically, by teleportation or mixing with elements, and the sightless eyes did not lie.
As the bright light filled the gorge, leaving no shadow in any single spot, Kage spun in the air to set his sight upon the Angel. "So you wish to gather your bounty..." He said in a low tone as his descent seemed to slow until he landed gracefully upon the floor of the gorge, giving no sign of anger as he slowly awaited the angel's approach.
In all there were eight Lances streaming from the walls down to the Angel, casting their light as one would expect. They also aided the Angel in decellerating, keeping him linked to the walls. Each and every pulse that passed through the great walls of stone would feed him as energies from Gaia itself flowed into him unhindered. The Ruby in his left hand was melding with the flesh that surrounded it, turning his hand into solid corundum, though colored as flesh and not as a ruby itself.
As a pulse flowed into him his eyes flared, his voice booming at first, "FOOL! Your disrespect and ignorance have earned wrath!" He glared down at the other for a moment, taking a moment to regain his composure. He remained suspended in the air as he continued, "However! If you halt this resistance immediately and give me what I seek, you may be spared." The billowing cloud around him was growing, and within it the energies from the walls were being fueled to create...something. Some being made entirely of light and energy, shouded by the mist as little more than the light from the Lances themselves.
Kage could only narrow his eyes, the small bag rising from his shadow. With a slight flick of the wrist, the bag had been taken in his grip and held out towards The Angel. "You call me a fool and expect me for such trickery?! This bag fills my senses with the stench of human!" He then tossed the bag to the ground with more than enough force to smash the cranium into pieces. "If you still wish to take your gold, earn it or come steal it!"
The Angel cocked a brow at the man's outburst, "So be it." The walls around him seemed to convulse for a moment as the eight Lances were forced back out from the Grid, darting towards Kage from 4 directions on the horizontal and from four directions coming down in a diagonal pattern, forming an eight pointed attack when seen from above.
Meanwhile, The Angel raised his arms, hands turned down and palms facing Kage. Two tendrils of flesh and mineral burst out to contribute in a frontal assault. The left was organic, but covered in a layer of flesh colored corundum, while the right was entirely organic, both tipped with a solid stinger that seemed to be of high density bone. The pulse from the Grid continued the formation of whatever was within his clouded wings, the Lanced that connected him to the walls drawing him closer to Kage at a fast speed.
As The Angel and his attack began to approach Kage, he let his plan off. The Angel had known nothing about Kage's hidden talents, one was his mastery of psionics. With a simple pulsation of his mind, a powerful psionic shockwave was expelled from Kage's mind out towards The Angel. Kage had studied up on this being, and knew of his weakness against psions.
The Lances aimed at Kage and those supporting the Angel of Pwn disintigrated. The Crimson Mists around his back were sent flying in a flurry of pink goo that smelled rather nasty, plastering itself against the walls. His form slammed into the ground, disoriented and disconnected from the greater whole. He tried to push himself from the ground, but found his mind in shambled as his features reverted to that of a simple farmer, Mindblaze's presence expelled. Shortly thereafter his form collapsed into oblivion, nothing left to annimate his form with Mindblaze gone.
However, this had only drawn more wrath upon Kage. One of the Soldiers high above seemed to tear himself apart as skin and cloth began to trail down the sides of the abyss, a pale grey form scrambling down the sides that nearly blended in with the rockface. The Dominion Juggernaut has been awakened from his slumber, his normally innert consciousness floating around the whole had been forced into the single soldier and was set loose.
The Beast was on his way.
As the Angel seemed to fade away, Kage's attention was turned to the being walking down the wall of the canyon. "The Mind Blaze Juggernaut.. Lich form.." Kage reached within his old and torn outfit to reveal a staff, six feet in length. It coarsed with holy energy. The intricate designs upon the staff alone were enough to tell that. With a simple word, Kage activated the staff's ability. "Shigamarami!" He immediately plunged the staff into the stone floor quite easily as it projected a powerful barrier of holy energy around Kage, twenty yards in circumference. The Lich would be unable to enter..
