PAST CHRONOS
Sailor Chronos was a very dedicated senshi who believed in doing her best for the job she had been assigned to, and therefore cared mostly about nothing else. She was never on any extremely close relations with anyone from the Moon Kingdom, though always remained in awe of Queen Serenity, her aunt and cared for her cousin as cousins do. She loved every single one of her Zodiacs and they were all extremely important to her, but the most important people in her life were Prince Eon and Zue; the latter had been with her ever since she was born. Chronos often worried about the toll it took on her Guards despite knowing that it was a duty and was never as harsh on them as Zue was, having the role of the encouraging Princess.

- Personal individual relationships plots with Zodiacs?
- Eon was her ONE TRUE LOVE (plot here with rose???)
- Close to her handmaidens (the Season Senshi) as well?

PRESENT CHRONOS / SERENADE
Serenade's personality is mostly similar to that of her past life; she however has a new obsession in her life, which is her piano playing. Her life now revolves around her zodiacs and the piano, and she prefers to closet herself off from anyone else. She is mainly uninterested in anything romantic; the clueless part of her is perhaps her own defense mechanism of still mourning over the loss of Eon and not wanting to pursue such relationships with anyone else. Serenade does not worry as much as Chronos once did, however, as she is much more calmer when handling dire situations, encouraged by her experience with the Negaverse and death. Chronos thinks that she's the reason why her Zodiacs and everyone died, or at least, blames herself for everyone's deaths as she was the one captured by Charonite to use as bait. As such, she's conflicted as to how she should treat her Zodiacs; if she should continue being close to them or distant herself from them to avoid such a thing to happen once again. An exception will be Zue however, as Chronos still feels as though he is her confidant, and the only one she can rely on now that Eon is gone.

- roommate time with elke (and summoning zue?)
- ZODIAC GIRLS SLEEPOVEERRRR
- individual zodiac rp?
- awakening season senshi (with zue)/meeting flora
- Emoing over Eon. A lot. A. Whole. Lot.

PAST FLORA
Flora was one of the handmaidens of Chronos, and was devoted to serving her Princess. She approved of the relationship between Chronos and Eon and was of the opinion that Zue was a little too strict with the Zodiacs. Flora was rather easy going, as she didn't fight as much as the Zodiac Guards. Flora was always up for gossiping with others like Pisces, even if it was about the Zodiacs or the Seasons. She was often fascinated with the Earth, because it was so full of life, and she sometimes wished to visit that planet, although she knew it was impossible, due to their duty. She also pretty much admired and respected Captain Venus. (Spring is the season of love after all)

- Past relationships with Zodiacs maybe??? (she would encourage any romance between them and try to matchmake them together. AND GOSSIP SESSIONS PLEASE)

PRESENT FLORA / EVE
Flora remembers none of her past life as of now, though she will get some flashes in her dreams and when she meets Chronos, Zue and the Zodiac Guards. She is a lot serious than she was before, as she was almost killed by three Negaversers, and the knowledge that the Princess and the Zodiacs had been killed a year ago will contribute to this. Flora knows that she has to join the battle and not be as relaxed as she was before, although she is conflicted with either being by her Princess' side or staying with her team with Pegasus. Flora will be strict on the other Season Senshi when they awaken, as she had been the first to awaken, and feels responsible to remind them of their duty to take things seriously.

- meeting zodiacs?
- being present for meeting season senshi when they awaken??

ZODIAC RP TIMELINE
- Jude a.k.a. Sailor Sagittarius dies; killed by Obsidian while trying to find out what was going on in Barren Pines
- Requested Sailor Aries/Hero to take care of Serenade (who was like a little sister to him) if anything happened.
- Hero formulates a plan when Serenade comes to her room to talk about the play (Nea: Princess of Love; in which Hero was the Head of Public Relations and Serenade was her assistant) to get Serenade out of Barren Pines and warn someone outside
- Instead, a ‘doctor’ and a ‘nurse’ enters their room, armed with a gun and as Hero shields Serenade, a voice in Serenade’s head tells her to say ‘Chronos Princess Power, Make Up’, and she transforms into Sailor Chronos. The bullets rebound off the energy barrier that happens when she transforms and Hero grabs the guns and eliminates the two; they dissolve into a black tarry substance.
- Serenade, Hero and Aurelia hide in the second gym
- A fire breaks out in Barren Pines
- Those that are dead are now zombies; slightly green-tinged by day, and are visibly monsters by night, with a hunger for human flesh. They are also youma, who are susceptible to manipulation by those of the Negaverse.
- The remaining humans fight while Serenade, Hero and Aurelia hide
- Hero decides to go out (armed with the doctor’s gun) with Chronos to test the latter’s abilities and they both awaken Elke (who had died in the fire) as Sailor Virgo
- Chronos and Virgo bump into Nealite, a Negaverse Captain, who manipulates two zombies to attack them. They manage to escape as Chronos knocks Nealite down with her tiara.
- Elke brings back Andeon’s head (who had died and gotten decapitated)
- Elke goes out for a walk with Andeon, Chronos gets worried and goes out to find her. Hero is displeased when she finds them; telling Elke that she should not put her princess in danger, and is even more displeased as Chronos also awakens Giselle as Libra (who had also died previously). This was because Giselle was her rival in school, in a sense.
- Hero and Aurelia argue as tension arises as to what would happen now, Serenade enters and awakens Aurliea as Sailor Capricorn. Hero is upset as she deals with the fact that everyone around her is a senshi.
- Nealite informs Charonite about the revival of Sailor Chronos and one of the zodiac senshi. Charonite had killed the Chronos and her zodiac guards and the guardian cat one year ago, by taking the princess hostage and capturing them in an exploding building.
- Charonite and Nealite put up a barrier on Barren Pines that stops any senshi for henshining up inside, unless they were in their form while the barrier was put up.
- Chronos falls into a deep sleep as this happens. She awakens as Queen Serenity for the time being.
- The barrier had also been penetrated by Sailor Foramen, senshi of rifts, and he brought Astraea, a guardian cat holding the soul of Luna into Barren Pines. Astraea confronts Sue Gottschalk, who is revealed to be really Zue, the guardian cat of the Zodiac Guards, and is stuck in Barren Pines in her human form as the barrier is put up.
- Astraea, Zue, Foramen and Serenity awaken the rest of the Zodiacs, and Serenity reveals that Scorpio had survived the blast. Chronos is her niece, the daughter of her husband’s brother. The Zodiacs had been killed by the Negaverse and Chronos begged the Space Cauldron to have them reborn, but it was at a price. This price was Chronos’ prince and cavalier, Eon, who gave himself up to let all of them, be reborn.

IN THEIR PAST LIVES
-The Zodiacs were stationed around the rim of the Solar System, ceaselessly fighting off big badass Chaos monsters that tried to get in. Because of this they are a tight knit little group, came back to the moon kingdom maybe once a year, for meetings and such. They have groups in which they fight in, the Fixed Group, the Cardinal Group and the Mutable group. The Fixed group consists of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius. The Cardinal Group consists of Aries, Leo, Libra and Capricorn. The Mutable Group consists of Gemini (which is made up of two people), Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces. The Season Senshi were Chronos’ handmaidens.

PAST LIFE: ZUE
Zue was always a little bit... odd. Even odder then than in his current life, truth to tell. He was reclusive, was a large part of it. He preferred to keep to his own company much of the time, and even when attending others, rarely found reasons to converse. He took himself extremely seriously, and seemed to despair if the Zodiacs were less focused than he.

The one exception to his stoicism came in the form of his princess, who he openly adored. Her safety and happiness was the top priority to him since the day she was born. When it came to Chronos, nothing was good enough for him - the Guard was too lazy, the Prince was too weak, and even Zue himself was not always wise or alert or intuitive enough. It seemed like Zue took every failure and disappointment in the princess's life as his own, and she was the only one that could ever really convince him to lighten up.

Before Chronos entered his life, though, Zue was a Guardian to Prince Aeon, the Prince-Consort of Queen Serenity. Before that marriage, the Prince was very close to his Guardian. Once Aeon married Serenity and brought Zue to live at the Moon Court, however, things began to bitter between them. Eventually, Zue began to fall apart, detesting his life in the Moon Court. When he had fallen into a constant self-pity, anger and despair, however, Zue chanced upon baby Chronos, and it seemed as though he were given a new lease on life and happiness just for having met her - and so Aeon gave him to the newborn princess, for Zue's happiness as much as anything.

Plotting:
  • Aries and Taurus - Zue had always been especially hard on these two, relying on them to get the rest of the Zodiacs to pull together. With Aries especially, there were issues - when Zue got too disapproving of the Guard's dedication like he did, it was Aries' job to draw the line of how much of Zue's brand of "guidance" was good for morale. Even so, the Captain was definitely one of the Zodiacs that had Zue's wholehearted approval, and it seemed like they were in step with one another as often as not.
  • How much Zue got along with the Guard can be almost directly correlated to how much of his s**t they were willing to put up with. If they could deal with his criticism gracefully, it was far more likely that Zue got along with them favorably; if not, they earned a special place on his a**-kicking list until they shaped up.
  • The Hands were the lucky few that tended to fly under Zue's hypercritical radar. It wasn't that he wasn't aware of them, of course, but he considered their duties to be somewhat outside his usual range of experience and therefore immune to his scrutiny. As a result, he treated them with cordial respect, sometimes even a friendliness that few other than Chronos ever got to see.
  • DOES NOT LIKE ARTEMIS. Exclamation point. Zue has no interest in liking Artemis, ever. Not even for Chronos's sake will he even pretend to like Artemis. Deal with it.

PRESENT LIFE: ZUE
For a brief period, Zue lived in his cat form in Destiny City. Like the others, he was killed a year ago by Charonite's trap, after which his soul was reborn through Sue Gottschalk. If the details are blurry regarding Zue's first life among the Zodiac Guard, then his second on Earth is an amorphous blob of "I think I can make out a face... no wait, it's just another blob."

Plotting:
  • Which Zodiacs was Zue familiar with during this time? Who did he make his home with then? Serenade or Alistair, or one of the others?
  • Zue's personality was unaltered by Sue's at this point - how did it mesh with the Zodiacs during their initial stint on Earth?

PRESENT LIFE: SUE
In some ways, Sue is very much the same as Zue - just filtered through human experience, and perhaps a little smarter about self-expectations. He still has a tendency to believe the weight of the world is on his shoulders, and he doesn't often seek close attachments with others. However, he's also got the sense to know that he can only do what he can; while personal failures might weigh down on him, he doesn't tend to assume the burdens of others as well.

Plotting:
  • Training? Once everyone's out and alive, Sue's going to want to make sure they've got everything together to act as a unit again.
  • School. Sue's mother lives out of town, and if he can, he'll be missing as much school as possible to look after the Zodiacs - but he does spend most of his life in human form, and he does have responsibilities of that nature that he can't just drop. He will attempt to make it at Meadowview (where his mother believes he has been going for the past year); whether he stays there probably depends on whether he gets into fights and winds up expelled or not.

Character Notes
  • Although Sue will answer to either name (they ARE pretty damn similar, it's not like it's hard to adapt), he prefers that people address him as Sue in human form, and Zue in cat form. Particularly so if there are people around to overhear.
  • Sue does, in fact, have a human family. Kathleen Gottschalk, his mother, lives out-of-town; he has a dad somewhere that he's never met, plus extended family (two aunts of special note.)

FACTS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE ZODIACS, PAST AND PRESENT

Royal: Princess Chronos, senshi of the Equinox.
Royal: Prince (Cavalier) Eon, senshi of the Epoch. Deceased.
Holder of the: Opal Crystal Of The Zodiacs.

The Zodiac Crystal is the crystal of Protection/Guardianship, the Great Wall, the Surrounding.

In terms of relationship, Princess Chronos is the niece of Prince Aeon, who was married to Queen Serenity of the Moon and died in a skirmish. You can take the Zodiac out of the Surrounding, but you can't take the Surrounding out of the Zodiac.

HOW THEY WERE REGARDED

At various fortification points around the Solar System, the Zodiac Guard protected the Solar System within from attacks by Chaos monsters (sometimes bandits -- see Sera Myu for canonicity of alien bandits/pirates). Although they had formal clusters, they all knew each other and would move between points to gather together for attacks on their fortifications, be a united army.

Princess Chronos, Prince Eon, Zue and the Hands (the Season senshi) travelled around the fortifications giving cheer, assistance and morale to the fighters. They were both warriors themselves, tireless ones; the Hands weren't warriors per se, but assisted with Chronos magically.

Zue was formerly guardian/associated with Prince-Consort Aeon, who gave him to his niece -- that's for you, Arrien!

The leaders of the Zodiacs were:

Captain Aries
Captain Taurus (second-in-command).

Every Zodiac was born on the planet that their sign ruled:

Cancer was Lunarian.
The two Gemini and Virgo were from Mercury.
Libra and Taurus were from Venus.
Aries and Leo were from Mars.
Sagittarius was from Jupiter.
Capricorn was from Saturn.
Aquarius was from Uranus.
Pisces was from Neptune.
Scorpio was from Pluto.

They weren't regarded as sailor senshi and were referred to as the Guard -- Soldier Cancer, Soldier Gemini and so on.

When you were announced as a Zodiac, instead of a celebration, people had a very respectful funeral for you, and you left.

The Zodiacs did turn up at big rituals (coronations, etc) -- they just tended to wear armour, not formal gear, or if they wore formal gear looked baffled about it. Feel free to have interacted with the Moon court -- they were related to it through marriage.

ZODIAC TEAMS

Thought the Zodiac's are one large team, they are also broken down in to three smaller teams of three-- the Cardinal Signs, the Mutable Signs and the Fixed Signs and each team has one member of each ruling element (water/fire/air/earth).

Cardinal Signs-- Aries, Capricorn, Libra, Cancer
Mutable Signs-- Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces
Fixed Signs-- Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius

PREVIOUS LIFE IN DESTINY CITY

The Zodiacs all turned up, including Eon, whose name was Alistair McGill. They all died barring Scorpio, who managed to escape, due to Charonite holding Chronos hostage and blowing the building that the Zodiacs were in.*

*Pisces' soul had not been located yet: she did not die, nor was awoken, with the others. Had she been they might have been able to use GROUP ZODIAC POWER GO!. Pierrette, feel free to be guilty over this. Their not all being present was how Charonite missed Scorpio escaping.

SOLDIER GEMINI BETA
Soldier Gemini Beta was a diplomatic soul, fiercely loyal to his Prince and Princess, as well as the other Zodiac soldiers. Deeply respectful of Chronos and Eon, this level of respect only reached one other -- Soldier Aries, their captain. While he often loved the other Zodiac Soldiers (as encouraged) he mostly shied away from Aries in regards to affection and love, never offering their strong, slightly gruff commander the prospect of warm arms. It was not his place. For a lesser to initiate offers of intimacy was rude and insulting -- he would not put himself on-par with Commander Aries. The rest of the Guard he spent time with as frequently as they wished -- most often it was the other Mutables whom he saw, althoug

Being announced as half the Gemini duo did not upset him. The prospect of dying at the edges of space did not frighten him -- he was more than willing to do his duty to protect those who would have a better life than he. It was upon meeting his 'other half' that

Cancer crabs grabbit postis.

Past Cancer:
Soldier Cancer was tri-sexua---l in a strictly Zodiaxual manner, yessir capt'n--- ; anything with a heartbeat and two (or more) legs was all good. And Soldier Cancer was usually irritable because in his opinion he wasn't gettin' enough. A little subtle about his advances, he usually reelled them in with a few smooth liners provided by Pisces, and then pounced when their guard was down.
While he was a bit of a playboy, he took his task at HOLDING DAS LINE very seriously, and probably dumped a few too many fish to run and help hold aforementioned line.
He and Pisces had an ongoing game of checkers in the same way that Leo and Virgo didtotally only played checkers-- only perhaps a little less behind closed doors and a little more 'OMG that doesn't seem physically possible!" to anyone walking past.
Despite this, life on the edges of the cosmos was lonely and hard, and what happens out in space STAYS out in space (Abeline especially agrees with this Zodiac motto!)
But as for the other Zodiac, when Cancer wasn't thinking about them naked- he respected and loved his teammates. His love was always willingly showed, and happily provided. Cancer was the kind of person who would love quietly and serenly. He wouldn't pester the other Zodiacs, but mostly he tended to offer a shoulder to share in their loneliness with.
Despite his open and sensual nature, Cancer would like it to be assured that he /certainly/ was not hiding feelings for any Zodiac in particular. That wouldn't be like him at all
Soldier Cancer carried a lot of weight on his shoulders, as the task of protection was nothing he would joke about. Cancer felt that his failure to protect Chronos, Eon, and overall, all the others was his ultimate failure as a soldier, which leads me to...

Present Cancer:

Abeline Froust agrees; if she had of been past Cancer, she would never have been defeated because... well, Froust just thinks things will be different this time.
She also would like to ignore EVERYTHING that happened with Past Cancer, as he wa--- "O-M-G Pisces, that doesn't seem physically possible!!!" was deeply disturbed and pined over too many people. Abeline does not have this problem. And she will never get the pocket karma sutra out of her mind when she sees Pisces. EVER AGAIN.
Both past and present share a certain level of self-inadequcy, and internal doubt, which was often only alleviated by a stirring pep-talk from Chronos (or Zue... cause Zue gives wonderful pep-talks.... in Cancer's dreams....) or from wooing a deliciously tasty imaginative fish with her promises of--- oh gawd, not in the kitchen! Abeline has vowed not to become a toy to the negaverse again. And while relying on the other Zodiac is not something that she would normally do, now that she's Cancer, she's going to have to train and fight with them. Who knows, Abeline might have a two-way conversation with someone for once in her life!

Plotting:

-Leo's lovechild(?)-- Virgo (and Leo) objects! only a pancake eating contest in Denny's will settle this matter!

-Pisces.... so how much DO you remember of our past lives? Oh... just wondering...

-Aries SUPERAWESOMENUGGETCOOKINGTECHNIQUE- because Hero will eventually cave in and become Abe's personal chef, and Abe will eventually beat Hero in a fight (which is only natural, because Abe is fabulous) and training every Saturday.... but what if that clashes with Ballet class? Okay, screw the ballet...

-Zue --- eventually Abeline will say something to the slowly emerging cat boy. And Sue will probably (most definitely) take some sort of kittish offense. Why? Because a catboy right in front of a girl who compares people to their animal counterparts is like taking candy from a candytree. Abe has self-control and self-preservation, but how long before she caves?

-Carpo-- Abeline Froust is in a little denial about why she follows Carpo around. She won't be explaining it any time soon, either.

-Looking for more ideas. XD

PAST LEO

Soldier Leo took his duties very seriously. While it may not have seemed like it whenever they met at the Moon Court, that was truly the only time he allowed himself to relax long enough to appreciate and enjoy life. At his leisure, he was charming and gentle, a man of easy humor and difficult to offend unless slight was given to Virgo; a man must always defend his sister, he would supply. Holding the line was a sacred duty to him, and any who met him in space would find him a stoic, determined sort of man who was only interested in maintaining his line; he refused to dally, and highly disapproved of all those games of checkers that seemed to occur among his compatriots when out in space. (He's looking at you, Pisces and Cancer.)

He also seemed to vaguely disapprove of the rampant relationships among the Zodiac in general. He and Virgo enjoyed a very close and tender relationship behind closed doors, but they made certain it remained as such - behind closed doors. Though he did fraternize with other members of the guard, it seemed that he found himself turning to Virgo more and more; they were the two who would stand a little too close, talk a little too quietly to one another, have their touches linger just a moment too long when no one was looking. Though it was highly discouraged to be in a monogamous relationship, Leo cared for Virgo more than he ought - much more than he ought - and could not deny his heart. Still, he did his best to keep under the radar in that respect, and he did couple with others on occasion, though it was always at their insistence and not his.

In truth, their relationship was that of a sibling bond most of the time. If they met in space, it was as comrades and siblings; only at the Moon Court did they allow themselves to be free to express how they truly felt about one another. If he was ever asked and ever honestly replied, Leo would have to admit that his love for Virgo was equally strong for a sister and a lover. Their relationship was complicated and confusing, but he truly loved her.

He regarded Chronos and Eon with the utmost respect, as well as Aries and Taurus; while not a born leader, he could have led if he needed to, but he never felt that it was necessary. Brave and bright, he was a steady, constant source of strength for any who needed to draw from him, and when they gathered to fight together, he did his best to fight as well as defend. The Zodiac Guard meant more to him than anything - they were his family - and while he was prepared to die for them at any given moment, he did not want to see them fall at his side.

PRESENT LEO

Sailor Leo is not nearly as dedicated, stalwart, or skilled as his Soldier counterpart was. Grayson is an idle man by nature except when it is something that interests him, and so it will take him some time to get motivated on his own. He's never actually believed the senshi were anything magical - he has a surprisingly inactive imagination - and finding out that he is one, and a member of the Zodiac Guard no less, will be an experience for him. He will go along with the majority of things, though he will rely on Virgo tremendously to wake him up and get him to sparring practice as well as out on patrol.

His teammates are Taurus, Scorpio, and Aquarius: he trusts them implicitly. Not because he knows the are trustworthy, but because they are a member of his team, and Grayson believes the spirit of a team is to trust and rely on one another. While he would normally object to being hauled out of bed for much of anything, he will greet any of these senshi with an amiable look and agree to patrol, they just must always come to him and grab him. He'll go along with most anything if you tell him it's in the name of teamwork, and once in battle, he will fight bravely to defend those he cares for, to the point of getting himself injured in their stead. He would consider it his duty to his friends as well as to the Zodiac.

He and Virgo are once again going to develop a pseudo-sibling relationship, though he will be highly troubled by the dreams that explore the other half of said relationship; Grayson will not look at Elke in that manner, and the feeling will be very mutual, leading to some awkward encounters. Still, he will fight to get past that, because he enjoys Elke very much as a friend and sister, and won't want to lose her due to something from their past lives.

All in all, he's not the most shining example of a senshi, but he could be if you worked with him. When push comes to shove, Grayson will step up and do what is necessary, but that's only when it's absolutely necessary. As time goes on, and he learns more of his past life, he will gradually become more serious about his duties, and his actions will reflect it.

PLOTTING

Team Nice Guy stuff! We must have group RPs where they get to know one another better and spar together. We need to become really tight-knit, yo. <3

Sibling escapades! Of course, Virgo will be his little sister, and they must have RPs just chilling at home as well as out on patrol, or sparring. Grayson will not neglect his Elke. <3

Quality time with Zue/Sue! If he wants to do that rotating shift thing, Gray is totes up for it. They have a spare bedroom if he wants to come stay as a human (and his parents would not even care, so less awkward) or he could stay in Gray's room as a kitty. Either way, I'd love for them to work together, and Zue to snark at Gray to take things more seriously. >=(

Bro time! I'd love for the guys of the Guard to get together and do some manly bonding. Got to stick together, you know. (How manly can it be when Gray and Topher are hugging?!)

Sleepovers/Sewing Parties/Things the Other Guys Will Disapprove of! Gray is up for any of your girly activities. Just come grab him and he'll hang. He won't even make fun of you, or think it's weird that he's there. It's all in the spirit of teamwork, man.

+ anything else you'd like. I'd love to get individual relationships going with the other Zodiac members, though he's probably going to be closest to Virgo, Taurus, Scorpio and Aquarius.

PAST VIRGO
Soldier Virgo was sensible. She didn't pick fights she couldn't win, didn't fuss over spilled milk, knew what she wanted and knew how to get it. She knew her limits and did her damnedest to train past them. It was her belief that, since she couldn't go home, it was her duty and her privilege to make the best of her talents.

Soldier Virgo was private, and worse, a closet romantic. She didn't like the fact that all of the Zodiacs were encouraged to sleep together; sure, she would, but she would never be the one to begin it--except with Leo. This might have been all right, she might have been able to avoid a monogamous relationship, but he returned her feelings, and... Well, really, that was it. She did love her other Zodiacs, just... not the same way as she loved Leo.

However, she was highly sentimental and emotional. A straight face with her could be hiding any number of traumas or happinesses, and it was hard to tell which was which (unless, of course, you were Leo). Her self-control was legendary, guys.

Despite her occasional bouts with Moodiness, she was intelligent and she was cautious. She regarded the Gemini twins, especially, as her favorite backup and her favorite part of the Mutables; if she was in danger, she called Gemini first, and if they were in danger, she didn't wait for them to call before going herself. Pisces she thought was a bit of a nuisance, but a nuisance she wouldn't know what to do without. Sagittarius was (details details). Libra was her confidant, though she still didn't tell her about her relationship with Leo.

As for the Princess, her Prince, and Zue... Well, there were a lot of hugs and cookies when the Princess came by Virgo's station.

CURRENT VIRGO / ELKE ARMA
Somewhere between being Soldier Virgo and Sailor Virgo, Elke lost something--mostly, her centuries of experience as a Zodiac Guard. She is a throwback to Virgo as she was just after leaving Mercury: Afraid of blood, of pain, of giving up something, but relentlessly sure that all will end well, and also utterly useless in combat. There is potential for her to regain Soldier Virgo's drive and dedication, it's just buried underneath a lot of FLUFF.

Grayson/Leo remains her brother, but... Well, let's just say that there is an abundance of awkward, awkward silence. Mackenzie/Gemini Beta and Elke are good friends, with Elke regarding the older girl as a role model. Serenade/Chronos is Elke's best friend forever and also her roommate, while Giselle/Libra tutors her and is not quite as close a friend as previously. Pierrette/Pisces and Elke are good friends, making cupcakes and bunnies together. Andeon/Gemini Alpha is Elke's totally pathetic secret crush. (More details to be added lol)

PAST ARIES

Captain of the Zodiacs, Aries was a bit of a Badass McBadass -- a man devoted to the Zodiacs, sometimes bitterly aware that what they gave made the solar system Safe For All Others (this is why Hero Barrett cries at Toby Keith songs). She was a hands-on fighter and a hands-on leader, expecting the same 120% out of them that she expected out of herself (well, she expected 200% out of herself). She was more a commander than a bodyguard to Aeon and Chronos. (Five thousand of my men are out there in the freezing mud. Three thousand of them are bloodied and cleaved. Two thousand will never leave this place. I will not believe that they fought and died for nothing.)

He was very much of the belief that Zodiac should ONLY fraternize with Zodiac, no outsider, and that it should be fraternization, not monogamy. It was basically kind of a forced polygamous arrangement where you all had, er, free reign with each other, but ardent monogamy with each other was discouraged -- you were meant to love every single other one of your Zodiacs. The Prince and the Princess (and the hands) were exempt from this. Otherwise, it was kind of an intertwined Free Love deal.

In turns fought and agreed with Zue -- Zue thought the Guard too lazy; Aries thought he was too hard on them for some ******** cat from Mau who wasn't out there every day -- but they agreed on training, and on dying in a heartbeat for the Princess and the Prince, and most importantly holding a line. For the Zodiacs, that utterance should be a drinking game.

He cautioned the Princess a great deal, but admired her; was probably one of the only Captains not to have a secret hankering for their Princess. Or their Prince. Admired both, staunchly. Was cordial, upright, took pains to be the Perfect Captain and failed due to one hell of a temper and a moral high horse.

  • Captain Taurus, second-in-command bromantic partner?
  • Soldier Sagittarius, god knows what?
  • Soldier Capricorn, god knows what?

  • Respected Captain Kunzite. From afar. Baffled at his betrayal.
  • Respected Captain Venus. From afar.

CURRENT ARIES/HERO BARRETT

Hero Barrett is the lonely child of a notable politician and his wife, who are pretty much a million per cent more devoted to each other than they are to Hero -- but who expect A++ out of her anyway, especially her father. Was smug as hell to have the first Princess and Prince discovered in Destiny City, was peeved as hell at Pisces' disappearance, was always at loggerheads with Jude Lawson -- has a little bit of inadequacy and frustration at being born a woman, but stiff-upper-lips it. Also avoids the term 'queer' as though it's coming at her with a bow and arrow. Died not making agreements with terrorists (the terrorists then blew them up).

PLOTTING

  • Jude and Hero swallow iodine, a lot
  • Nonetheless being Mrs. Lawson
  • Crystal girls: Hero is rooming with Miriam Jacobs and they hate each other with the hate of a mountain
  • Hero is making all of you train every Saturday
  • All of you are comin' to the senshi meeting bitches

PAST EON

Prince Eon was incredibly devoted to a role which he felt unsuited for, being the nephew of the hardass hardwarrior Aeon who died when he was still just a kid -- passed on the role of cavalier and Prince to Chronos. He was a seriously kind, nice guy, though he could be condescending and patronizing (when you're a Zodiac, you kind of get on the high horse) and was incredibly gentle in his day-to-day relationships -- you could've accused him of being Princess Eon, not Prince. He was scholarly, a little resentful that he had to pick up a sword and fight EVERY DAMN DAY of his life when it wasn't something he was suited to, but he tried to be gracious and good-natured. Seriously internalizing, though. Seriously. He was a cray self-doubter.

Was more than a little neurotic as Princes go because he also held no special Crystal. He was born on the special Zodiac asteroid where the Zodiac priesthood/princesses came from (Chronos, Aeon, Eon, etc).

  • One True Betrothed Love From Childhood, Chronos
  • Knew the Handmaidens/Handdudes
  • Honestly, left the disciplining up to Zue, so Zue HAD to be the Bad Cop to Chronos' Nice Cop and Eon's Tell Me About It smile Cop. And Captain Aries'... Aries Cop.
  • Fought alongside the Zodiacs, though he knew he wasn't an incredible warrior like they were and kept to the back lines: he was the army chaplain -- tended to be the guy who was like, are you all right? Is there anything you want to tell me? He acted like a priest who was your confession booth. This is between us and the Stars. smile Sometimes you need more than the Surrounding to tell your problems to. smile

PRESENT EON / ALISTAIR

Alistair McGill was a Sovereign Heights student of 20 prepping for nursedom. He gave his star seed so that the others could be reborn. If you have an idea of how you would have interacted with him, go ahead. smile

Soldier Pisces

Soldier Pisces took her sign’s title of “The Poet” to heart. The outskirts of space were lonely, but Pisces survived because of her fruitful imagination. When she wasn’t battling (and sometimes when she WAS battling), Pisces liked to daydream of things like… battling… er, well, when you were a Zodiac you tended to be very business-minded. But she did dream of visiting passing asteroids and often focused her poetry on them.

Being a Zodiac was a lonely existence, and thoughts of affection and love often crossed her mind. He preferred the Greek and Roman ideas of a younger soldier “befriending” an older, hunky experienced warrior. Pisces preferred being the younger soldier, and often “befriended” Cancer whenever their paths crossed. However, neither one of it considered it a relationship. None of her “befriendings” were relationships.

To Pisces, women were an entirely different matter. She believed in the Petrarchan ideals of romance, which is comparable to romantic chivalry. Romeo practiced it to Rosalind (and later Juliet), Dante practiced it to Beatrice… it was a common theme in poetry, and Pisces was no exception. Women were pure, untainted figures of beauty, charm, and intelligence. She admired all the women of the Zodiac from afar (though her favorite was Virgo, and of COURSE the princess) and they were also the subject of her poetry, idolism, and adoration. She loved them to such an extent that when she found out that Virgo and Leo might’ve had more love than just normal fraternizing, she kept it a secret and helped them keep the appearance of normal fraternizing. Plus, Leo was her brival and they had a brotastic bromance.

One vice of Pisces (other than being a spoony bard who happened to be great on the battlefield) was that she was a terrible gossip. she loved to hear the latest scoop from everywhere—from the Moon Kingdom to Neptune to the other fortified posts. Aries and Capricorn/Sagittarius? All over that. Leo and Virgo? Secretly all over that. Chronos and Eon? Favorite couple ever. she ships them, she has a lot of ships in her shipyard.

P.S.: Virgo would like to note that Pisces failed and probably still does fail at subtlety.

Past Life: Solider Sagittarius

Prior to her "going away party", Sagittarius was one known for looking on the bright side of everything. Everything. However, as one can imagine, attending your own funeral is a real downer no matter how optimistic you are, as is being sent into space to fight monsters forever. It gets old after you kill about ten of them, you know?

Unlike Jude, Sagittarius was more content to communicate and bond with her fellow Zodiac. (This could possibly be because there is no one else in space, but she argues this is not the point, so we'll move on.) Her second favorite pastime was bragging about Captain Aries. Unless Captain Aries was in her company, in which case her second favorite pastime was harassing Captain Aries and encouraging everyone else to join her. He's a man. He can take it.

Her favorite, though, was talking. More correctly, gossiping. Being the typical explorer--she is Sagittarius, after all--she found herself forlorn at the lack of freedom to physically roam. Thus, she "roamed" via the realm of the mind. Not much else to think about in space but the people you're with, so she spent quite a bit of time discussing "I heard" conversations.

With her natural aversion to authority (again, she's Sagittarius), she never seemed as fond of Princess Chronos as everyone else. Although it may have been mistaken for jealousy (feel free to assume so), the truth is that she simply didn't like being told what to do on a professional level. (Aries she obeyed out of affection.) None the less, she listened, begrudgingly, until the job was done, then got on with her life as a Space Warrior.

Curiously enough, her respect and admiration for Jupiter was absolute. She's never said why.

Present Life: Jude Lawson / Sailor Sagittarius

Jude is like his former self in some ways and different in others. He will decidedly ignore the whole being a girl thing, because that is lame. Since he's not stationed out in the nothingness of space with a few other people, Jude doesn't have to turn to the Zodiac for company. And he doesn't. It takes either Serenity herself or a lot of complaining from Hero to get him to do anything involving the Zodiac as a group. (Which means he'll be at most every practice, meeting and whatever else or oh my God she will never shut up.) He pretty much goes off into his own little world whenever the option is available.

With the exception of Serenity, he doesn't appear to have much respect for women in power, but it should be noted he is not intolerably sexist. On the contrary, he truly believes women staying out of the line of fire is for their own good; he cares more about you, not the other way around. This is very obvious as he presents himself as "I don't want you to get hurt!" and not "You are weak and stupid so sit down, you whores."

On a personal level, he does not want to talk with the girls, hang out with the boys, watch the "pet cat" or do anything with any of them unless he has to with the sometimes exception of Hero. Speaking of, he clearly does not understand why everyone is so intimidated by this chick. Any chance he gets to embarrass her, he takes it. This is including, but not limited to: Calling her "Mrs. Lawson" and noting she is his "wife", making kissy faces, winking, sneaking up and hugging her, whispering things into her ear, pulling her pigtails in class and giggling about it behind the teachers back, and not respecting her "authority". (Note: When speaking of Hero's "authority", it is always "authority"; never authority.)

If anything important is going down, he always shows up (on time!) and stays until the party is over. This means, yes, he "loves" you all deep down. Don't ask him to say it because Real Men don't discuss these girlish issues, okay? Okay.

PAST AQUARIUS

Being born pretty far out into the solar system, Soldier Aquarius felt he had a lot to prove. He was ambitious, but it is difficult to prove oneself when you're stuck holding the line, so did the best he could by being the best damn Zodiac Guardsman he could. Like the rest of the Zodiacs, he took his duty extremely seriously, ambition aside. In addition to being a badass fighter, he was a capable tactician. He was the serious, studious type who did not rush into battle without at least trying to analyze the situation. And if that failed, trusted his skills to get him through the battle.

When not fighting, Soldier Aquarius was a scholar and a researcher, preferring working on his projects to anything that qualified as leisure time. Space was as good a place as anywhere else to pursue his studies, and he had no real problems being stationed out there. While stuffy and something of a stickler for work, Aquarius did get lonely on the line and tried to maintain solid relationships with his fellow Zodiacs. This was difficult when he paid more attention to his projects than his companions, and he was known for being a generally poor conversationalist. While Aquarius was receptive to fraternization, he never initiated it, and was generally awkward throughout the whole thing, not quite sure how to improve on that aspect of his performance as a Zodiac. He may have sought people out for practice. In general, he was far better at interacting with scholarly types, being particularly close to Sailor Libra (and possibly enjoying an occasional discussion with Prince Eon?) He fully respected the Captains and Royalty, but was a bit awkward around anyone that he couldn't relate to intellectually. Which doesn't mean he didn't try, just that it may not have gone well.

- BFFs and study buddies with Libra
- Frequent bickering with Pisces?
- Scholarly chitchat w/Scorpio?
- Scholarly chitchat w/Eon?
- Totally up for more past life plotting plz

PRESENT AQUARIUS/TARA KAVANAUGH

Tara is nothing short of psyched to be Sailor Aquarius, since to her it is a sign that SHE WAS RIGHT ALL ALONG. Saving the world from evil alien invaders is the sort of thing that she hauls herself out of bed for. She will be totally overzealous and drag her teammates out for possibly nonsensical missions (stalking wheat fields and abandoned houses for ali- er, youma anyone?) for a good while. Eventually, she will probably get bored with the tedium and start forgetting to show up for patrol/practice as she starts getting interested in other things. Even when she's totally into it, expect her to forget things and get distracted. A lot.

On that note, Tara has a worse than normal time remembering things from the past. She tends not to remember details- especially people and events- unless they're in her face constantly. Soldier Aquarius was even worse about this, which makes dealing with her newfound memories like dealing with a haze inside a muddle. It's unlikely she'll remember anything specific anytime soon, and she'll probably have to commit to decoding what's going on inside her mind before she can make sense out of it.

Soldier Aquarius' ambition has turned into Tara's need for attention at all costs, and she likes trying to get in everyone's faces. That doesn't mean she has any less difficulty relating to people, just that she's more likely to try and fail. Tara is also rather blind to divisions in age, gender, etc, and tries to barge in on groups that may not welcome her. She will also try to force activities that she likes on people, assuming that they're so cool everyone will enjoy them. In short, there will be lots of relationship fail, but I'm hoping she can find at least a couple people who don't find her totally annoying.

As far as Team Nice Guy is concerned, Tara thinks they're pretty awesome and would love to try getting them to do things, even though she is Not The Leader. This goes for important things like sparring and patrol, and not important things like pizza and stargazing. Tara and Giselle have a very strong and lasting mutual dislike that is softening from blind hatred to begrudging respect and maaaaaybe begrudging teamwork. Would love to develop stuff with the rest of the Zodiacs- Tara will try anything once, just don't expect her to finish it if something more fun comes along.

PLOTTING

- Team Nice Guy stuff! Both as team and individually with Taurus, Leo, and Scorpio? Would really like close-knit stuff going on!
- Giselle rivalry!!!1! And eventual co-brain bleaching when they discover that Libra and Aquarius were BFFs.
- Sparring times! Tara will so try to use her lightsaber for a while.
- Occasional barging in on Gray for pizza and a free ear?

I would really, really like further plots and developments, so feel free to contact me anytime for anything! <3

JUST A NOTE TO EVERYONE GENDERSWITCHING, AND I KNOW I'M DOING IT TOO:

Please think about it and fire me a quick note off about why you're doing it -- doing it and not explaining why you're doing it is not going to help, and I don't think the majority of us SHOULD be doing it (and I will switch to not do it should it become an issue). The main thing are all the girls who are choosing to have been past life men. Considering that like, we have people who've done that and it's a big deal with transsexual issues to boot, please do not do it lightly or Just Because Everyone Else Is. Honestly, it also makes it look like the Zodiac Guard had to be masculine badasses when nowadays they are also ********' girl badasses.

So: please fire me a PM, and I'm afraid I'll have to give yea nay?
