A rather normal night, in Karakura Town Park. On there way home from a party, two rather normal looking boys are unknowingly about to encounter a vast threat on there lives. This life changing event will cause the two to enter a new world; This is the start of there journey together as Spiritual Enforcers! The area is, (as stated above) Karakura Town's park. At night, spiritual activity is slightly increased and the two boys shall have a hands-on encounter with the sudden rise in activity; A Hollow Attack!

Walking beside his newest friend, Herieo could be seen smiling and staring down at the inward sections of his forearms. They'd just come from a party, one Herieo never wanted to really go too for that matter. The evening did, however, turn out good for him! On his forearms, jumbles of numbers in ink were lined everywhere. if one looked closely, there was a cellphone number on his cheek, a little heart beside it. He was slightly flustered in the face, his eyes widened and like chibi-saucers as they stared down in amazement. "Hey.. Tetsuya! How many girls wrote random numbers on your arms! I wonder if there, like, cheat codes for some game.. heaven knows I didn't pay attention to a word they were sayin'! I was having too much fun eating ice cream!" Now it was obvious how oblivious and dumbfounded he truly was while associating with certain types of people; Innocence made him seem like a retard in this day and age. ".. Maybe we should get home though! It's gettin' really late.. heck, it's almost ten thirty! The hotel locks up for occupants at one o'clock, unless you tell'em otherwise! We have three hours to get back!" It seems the boy was treating this as if it were really a serious 'Late Reaching The Deadline' situation. One could tell by the new emotion plastered upon his face, the cute eyes growing full and near-liquid filled; His lips were pouted down when not speaking, making such a cute sight. The same sight was what got all those damn numbers on his arms.. "So.. We gonna haul tail it or what! Lets take a short cut through the park.. maybe we'll see a few spirits with there chains and stuff!" Still motor-boating on with his rant, he would suddenly break off from beside his friend, sprinting across the street and into the park's open lot. He only turned to summon his friend, wavering both arms above his head then continuing on his way..

The party had been okay, nothing as grand or as decadent as he had hoped, but it was okay. It was going to be one of many for Tetsuya's new friend, Herieo, and he would son learn how to get his freak on. For now, though, he was still an innocent little kid, and Tetsuya was going to change that. "Nah, no numbers written all over me. I forgot my little black book, and I tend to forget those chicks anyway. They're a kind of cheat code, sure, and they're for a very specific game... We'll talk about that one later, maybe over a tub of ice cream and some episodes of 'Lost', sound good?" Baby steps, he told himself, baby steps. He'd have a full-blown wing-man inside of the month, he told himself, Herieo just needed breaking. He was also pretty fun to hang out with, when he wasn't talking about spirits, ghosts, chains on ghosts, or anything related to the paranormal. Tetsuya scratched the back of his head, messing up his carefully-styled 'do, when Herieo started talking about those damn spirits. Without a chance to argue against it, or say he was a coward and wanted to hit up a restaurant, Herieo was gone like the wind, racing for that same damn park, with those same damn spirits. Great, combine his hero s**t, the pouty face, his innocence, and his fascination with spirits, and I have one hard-to-handle kid on my hands. I'm like a damn baby-sitter or something. I hate ghosts. Sheesh. He thought about leaving Herieo, ditching him and running in the opposite direction. He was pretty sure he could ditch the kid before he knew it, but that would be a d**k move. Besides, he didn't have so many friends that he could just ditch one and hang out with another. Hell, he didn't have any friends beside Herieo, really. He was new in town. He also lived right across the hall from Herieo, and that would be an awkward conversation when he came home, not to mention that Tetsuya might feel bad about it. "A jog through the dark, foreboding park... I smell foreshadowing." He mumbled softly as he ran after Herieo, intent on keeping his only friend, running away from any ghost he might see, and sleeping till seven in the afternoon tomorrow. dying or being eaten by a ghost would ruin those plans, and Tetsuya was going to be hella pissed if his plans were ruined. But he could worry about that later, right now he had far more pressing matter, like keeping up with Herieo and keeping away from ghost-chain-things. "Herieo! Wait up!" He shouted, his sneakers slapping against the hard pavement. "I hate ghosts..."

Herieo would soon reveal his location, thought to be in the center of the park. "YAHH!" His voice echoed several times, being followed by the squawking of sleeping newly awoken birds! From the dark trees came masses of shadows, flying in every which way.. Oddly enough, it wasn't actually Herieo's fault. Little did he know, a strange pitch black portal was slowly ripping it's way open; Large, thick fingers slid between the newly forming slit. Low growls echoed silently amongst the masses, ignored however. The child was having a bit of fun right now. Sidetracked quite easily, he found himself near the swing set, hopping to stand on the seat and sway slowly. He only did this to await the arrival of his friend, hoping to have some fun in the process; Large blank eyes, and a straight face said different however. Unmoving, he seemed to be in deep thought.. Something was happening.. Something was near. An oddly familiar feeling began to elevate his other senses, the sixth as some would call it. "It's.. It's a monste-.." the thought had no time to fully compute in his head, the entire swing's frame turning sideways. A large, charging, shadow had directed itself at the swing-set; Easily, it'd thrown both Herieo and the swing itself a good several yards away.. Limp and unmoving, Herieo rolled lifeless on the wood shavings, stumbling to react to what had just went on. His vision blurry, he could only see the hazy beast charge at him! Through self conscious movements only, he shifted to perform a continuous rally of stealth rolls, managing to barely evade the attack. "TETSUYA!" He called out quickly, shouting towards the sky in a startled voice. "We got trouble..!" Lip syncing the phrase, he would take a very unfamiliar stance, spreading his legs shoulder width apart. Throwing his right hand upwards, he would abruptly bring it down, the fist area igniting with a blue spiritual aura.. In a show of athleticism, he rushed the rather large shadow, slamming his fist forward. Upon reaching the target, it's body would contort about the shape of his fist and then fling back, regaining it's stable standing position while revealing it's appearance. It was at least fourteen feet tall, black and more round then usual. It showed absolutely no human traits, just like all the others he'd seen; It seemed just as weak and stupid as the others too.

Tetsuya didn't like birds, especially the alive and squawking kind that annoyed the hell out of him, but that squawking happened to be the least of his worries at the moment. He had to deal with Herieo being a child again, which was nothing new, but he also had to deal with the great big monster in the sky. Normally, he'd act as though he hadn't seen anything and sprint for the nearest subway station. sure, they could chase him, but those trains were pretty fast and hard to catch. He really couldn't do that now though, since Herieo had just pointed out the things location, shouted his name, and started throwing Hadouken fireballs or whatever at it. It was like a scene straight out of a comic book, and Tetsuya would have continued watching if this had been a televised cartoon. Sadly, this was real life, and dying in real life meant dying... For good, and that would ruin his plans for this evening and tomorrow. Tetsuya let out a heavy sigh, pissed that he may die today, or worse, may have to fight a fourteen-foot monster with nothing but his bare hands, his wits, his hair, and some stupid kid who could throw Hadoukens. "Why did you attack it? That thing is freaking huge! Let's get the hell out of here before he gets to killing us, because I have plans tomorrow! I want to live my life!" Tetsuya shouted back, seeing no reason to attempt to be tactful or wise in this kind of situation. There was nothing to be tactful or wise about, it was a giant freaking monster with a ball-shaped body and a nasty attitude. Tetsuya did not want any part of that beast, and even if he did, he had no special powers beyond being able to see it. He could always throw rocks, but this was all up to Herieo and his magical blue fireballs. Tetsuya figured that he could run around and distract it, a viable strategy, but he didn't want to be a target for the giant monster. "What do I do? I don't have any special blue Spirit Bomb fireball Hadoukens like you do!" Tetsuya shouted, desperate for a logical, rational, well thought-out explanation on how he could attempt to kill the monster from the sky. He needed that explanation real fast, because unlike Herieo, he was a cowardly person and prone to running away from danger at the speed of craven. That was really fast, by the way.

"WA-WAHH..?! You don't have super powers!? But you can see'em..? That's kinda messed up! We better do somethin' bout' this problem soon!" Turning as if to forget the monster, he began to wave the blue hand at his friend. Unbeknowst to him, the creature became a human pinball while he was distracted! Ducking it's head in, and all other limbs it would become a pitch black bowling ball, bouncing twice and then charging at high speed. Herieo turned abruptly, repeating his actions from earlier, and threw out another fist. Friction and whatnot produced different effects then the last time however, resulting in him being flung off in one direction, while the ball was ricocheted in another. Grunting silently, he went to a new stance, down on one knee. Positioning his fingers as if to fire a "Spirit Gun", he winced and closed his eyes as his arms and body proceeded to recoil, following the smallish blue blast that erupted from his right hand index finger. Like a speeding projectile, the blast crashed into the beast and exploded, producing a small mass of gray spiritual fog from it's impact point. The beast seemed disoriented for a while, falling sideways as it's body parts protruded. Shaking for a while, it seemed to be wounded greatly! Herieo took the time to sprint towards Tetsuya, sliding beside him and pointing at the beast. "Um.. Punch it..?!" Spoken as bluntly as could be, the words escaped Herieo's mouth in a quick burst. "If you can see it as clearly as me, you should be able to touch them like I can..? Just um.. Hit it..? Gah, I don't know. Maybe you need to.. Dangit, I un'know!" Not knowing what else to say, he took on his previous pose, firing another shot; This one was bigger and proceeded to disintegrate the monster's remains upon contact. "Just try!? I can feel somethin' else closin' in! Might be another one!" Confused, and seemingly paranoid, Herieo stayed close to his friend, almost staying back to back with him.

"How is that messed up? Normal people don't have blue fireballs that kill ghost monsters from the sky! I can't help it!" Came his retort, a rather weak one at that. Still, it was all he could come up with at the moment, since he was still getting over the fact that they were fighting an honest-to-God monster. A monster that had just acted like a God-damn pinball and knocked Hereio away like he was nothing. Tetsuya just watched the battle, jaw agape and mind racing to rationalize what he was seeing. Nothing on Earth was supposed to do that, teenagers could not fire blue fireballs of death, and most certainly, he was probably stuck in a nightmare from hell. That was the only way he could rationalize this, it was a nightmare and he was in hell. He had done something horrible, died, and was taken here by the Devil himself. He was snapped out of this day-dream when Herioe started yelling things at him, or however he was saying them, it sounded like yelling. Telling him to punch it, Tetsuya almost punched him in the face for that little quip. He should have, too. "How can I punch it?! It's twice my god-damn height!" Tetsuya didn't have to yell and worry about this for long, since Herieo already destroyed it and deigned him worthy of standing right next to him. What a wonderful, wonderful friend. "How can I try, Herieo, if they're so ******** tall! I can't punch a giant, can I? That's ludicrous! Give me some super-special fireball monster-killing death power like that, then I'll go punch the s**t out of everything, even myself in a vain attempt to WAKE UP! This has to be all one big nightmare..." He said, rubbing his forehead and trying to clean his thoughts. He didn't want to think about another one coming here and trying to kill him, he didn't want to think about ghosts anymore. He wanted to move to a place without ghosts, like Antarctica or northern Canada. He wanted to go home and sleep until he was forty, whatever it took to be away from Hereio and his bad ******** luck. "This is the last time we go to the park. Ever."

Facepalming himself, he turned fully to Tetsuya, lip syncing a slow 'Sorry'. His head went down, along with the aura consuming his right hand. He looked up slightly, full eyes gleaming with the half moon above. He seemed to be looking past Tetsuya, not exactly at him! In a swift, action-movie like, show of events, Herieo flung both his left and right arms over his friends shoulders, keeping them stiff as he balanced his forearms horizontally on his friends shoulders. Grimacing, he winced as the duel-fired blast would suddenly propel themselves at high speed, making full-on contact with two separate beast, one blast for each. It was only to disorientate however; They'd merely fell from there charge, sliding towards the two. As they came, Herieo would proceed to maneuver himself to a crouch. In a show of might, he would tackle his friend close range, using the momentum to carry the two a short range. Once out of harms way, his strength seemed to fade and his body gave, making the two fall. (Hope you don't mind a Life-Saving, Epic-Puppet!) Sighing, he watched from the ground as the beast stood slowly beside each other. Both were smoking near the center of there mask, small cracks expanding but stopping short; They weren't dead. "Ok.. Quick lesson! These things are intimidating, big, and scary as.. Heck! They eat souls, and only like human bodied ones if there really really 'Thick' you could say.. T-They tend to follow people with powers and energy, or whatever.. That means people who can see them clearly, and interact! Our souls seem to be there food source! I don't know where they come from, what they are or anything but.. I gotta use this weird power of mine to fight'em or else innocent souls die!" Stopping short mid-speech, he would aim his gun-shaped right hand towards the two, shooting the ground with a smallish barrage of large bullets. These missed, probably due to his frightened state, but were enough to create rivets in the ground before them; They were slowed. "Me and you have a lot alike, but these powers come individually.. Maybe your..um.. A late bloomer..?! You might develop something, but till then.. Bare the ******** with me!" Startling himself, the boys hands shot to his mouth, covering it as his eyes widened. Shaking it off, he stumbled towards the two struggling beast, both stuck in there smallish crater. He suddenly screamed something out, switching from using his right hand to his left; The stronger one. Within a seconds notice, he'd made contact with the ground before the two, an eruption of spiritual pressure emitted from his impact. This large mass of blue energy seemed to envelope all three of them, disintegrating them as the light began to consume there entire frames. The end result was a slightly panting Herieo, crouched with a smoking left hand. He raised his head slowly, noticing several large holes begin to rip themselves open.. He was evident to the large fingers, prying them open slowly.. Growls came from nearly every direction now. "New lesson learned: Using lots of power attracts more. it just makes you look more tasty.." Sarcastically he spoke, scoffing afterwords as he caught his breath.
(Note; He screamed out "Heroic Effort", but the attack's sound blocked eet out!)

Tetsuya would have loved to wake up right now, loved to hear that Herieo was knocking on his door and wanting to hag out, or get ice cream, or whatever. He wanted this all to be one big, stupid nightmare that would convince him to start taking life seriously. Hell, he would have liked a god damn escape strategy right about now, anything to get away from the creatures that went bump in the night. Herieo was really not helping, not at all, and his mile-a-minute explanation had fallen on deaf, and terrorized, ears. Tetsuya was far more concerned with living at the moment, not rationalizing anything. Sure, he would have wanted a rational explanation a few minutes ago, but he was beyond that right now. He went beyond the rational when Herieo started throwing blue-death-monster-kamehameha-hadouken fireballs from both fists, not to mention his blue bullet thing. But as he said, they were pretty much alike in the whole spirit sense, and hopefully, he was right about Tetsuya developing a spiritual power. That would be awesome, since a shitload, or rather, more like ten shitloads, or monsters began to surround the dynamic duo. "Herieo... Listen to me. Next time you have a direction you wanna go in, or a place you wanna visit, just forget about it. Because I swear, if we live through the night, you're never choosing where we go ever again. I mean it, for reals, never ever." Tetsuya said, followed by a heavy sigh and a quick prayer to whatever god was listening at that particular time. He wasn't really picky right now, which ever would save him from this horrible fate. Maybe one would listen to his insane psycho-babble long enough to show pity, open a portal to his home, and take him away from this crazy nightmare Herieo had lead him into. This was not the first time since he had been attacked that Tetsuya, in some mad, idiotic way, believed that Herieo was the Devil and had brought him to hell. Maybe he was right, maybe this was hell, or worse, he was locked forever in an alternate dimension with an annoying kid. That might be worse than hell. Possibly. Probably not, but it was a lot easier to cast blame onto someone who didn't deserve it right now, a lot easier than accepting what was really going on. Unfortunately, the roaring and monstrous monstrosities had shattered that little fantasy, which meant he had two distasteful and probably fatal options. He could run away, which would be leaving Herieo to die on his own, and he would probably die before he got anywhere near his house, or he could start wrestling with one of those monsters and hope for the best. He really didn't like either option, not at all, but he had no third option to chose, no hidden choice that would bring victory and hot chicks galore. So he was forced to stand his ground, forgo his cowardly nature in lieu of a fatalist heroic one, and hope for the best, which was getting harder to do by the second. Giant fingers tearing open the sky, unearthly growls from all around them, and white-faced freaks were enough to reduce any sane man to a jabbering fool before his life was ended, but something about the whole situation, and Herieo having great powers, gave Tetsuya a modicum of confidence. That was all he needed right now, maybe a shot of liquid courage to make things better, but a modicum of confidence went a long way when you punched a ghost.

Tetsuya felt a rush of power envelope his entire body as the mask of the creature dissipated and, in a most interesting development, was absorbed into Tetsuyas' body. The entire body of the black ghost-thing was absorbed, and filled Tetsuya with a great warmth and a rush of power, maybe too much at that. Maybe it was fate, divine intervention, or maybe he was a ******** energy vampire, whatever the case was, Tetsuya now had more power than he knew what to do with. So, in a crazy fit of un-originality, he used his extremely nerdy knowledge of Star Wars and threw a bolt of 'Sith' lightning at one of the opening portals, blasting back whatever was inside and closing it. Tetsuya was over-joyed, and maybe a little power-crazy. "Hell ******** yeah! Taste my lightning b***h!" He shouted with great relish, as if challenging the gods he had just begged for mercy, and sent another blast at another ghost. It was thrown, spinning head over heels, back into whatever dark hole spawned it. He was feeling significantly less powerful now, but if he was a frickin' energy vampire, well... There were sill a s**t-ton of more ghosts available. "Hey Herieo, did you see that? I'm a ********' superhero!" Despite his new power development, things were not looking up. More monsters were coming out from their holes by the second, and even if he could absorb some of them, he couldn't do it fast enough to save his own life. Even if he could, he had just discovered this power, and it's exact limits were beyond him.

All in all, they might be screwed.

"RAHH, WHATEVER YOU SAY BUDDY!" Overexcited at having seen his friend shoot his own energy attack, Herieo found himself sparkling and harboring a newfound source of confidence. He glared towards the sky suddenly, his twinkling orbs beginning to glow with a light blue aura. Both his hands began to build up power, Herieo being an idiot as they did this. He struck a mad pose, spreading his legs and holding his arms in; The palms were facing the sky, his fingers cringed like a mad man gone even more insane. As he looked towards the sky, hoping at this point he would go super saiyan with such an ironic and classic form, his spiraling energy began to fluctuate. The numerous beast, attracted to this, began to charge together in wild rampages. Two and three at a time, the giants flung themselves at the glowing boy. Upon reaching his immediate area, they were blown back.. The sound of heavy physical blows rang throughout the once-silent park. His fist prints were abundant on the face of each hollow, making it seem as though they were stamped by the teacher's largest 'YOU DID GREAT!' marker. Herieo, panting and smiling, broke into his own wild rampages, moving from beast to beast with glowing hands. He never repeated actions however, deciding to mix it up on each defeated foe; The nearest hollow, as of now, was the unluckiest however. Herieo, at the moment, could be seen flying through the air his legs crouched in as he became eye level with an eight foot tall monstrosity! Unaffected by it's rather large appearance, Herieo showed no fear in punching it's mask dead on and above the nose area. His fist lodged itself into the monster's face, causing an abrupt crater to form, followed by the sudden release of numerous cracks. The entire beast, from that point, shattered! Near instantaneously, it's body had become black marbles floating towards the sky then evaporating. "Ok..Um.. One more do- Sheetrock, these things are multiplying like flies on my pet gerbil! That reminds me.. Tetsuya, have you seen him lately..?! He got loose from my jeans pocket this morning when I was at your place.. I forgot to tell ya'!" Acting as if the battle was already over, he casually spoke to his friend. That was until he was rudely interrupted, a rather large claw making it's way down towards his head. He countered by becoming a living blur, moving to the right of the arm as it planted itself firmly into the park floor. Herieo, still being at such a close range, placed his right hand index finger against the thing's forearm where it was supposed to bend. Making the shape of a gun with it, he would suddenly fire off one of his odd bullets, obliterating the things arm then making his quick retreat backwards. He slid back in time to watch the arm roll off on the ground, blood spurting from it and the ripped area of the monster's body. Covering his ears as it screeched at him, Herieo would whimper and then rush the thing, both hands still over his ears. Upon nearing it, his image faded.. It reappeared on the opposite side, Herieo having slid between the things legs and out of it's peripheral vision. Hitting from it's blind point, Herieo managed to obliterate the monster from the small of it's back with another quick shot from his gun-shaped hand. "RAHH, I'M SO ELITE! THIS IS LIKE SO MUCH FU-" Fun over. Pain time.

"G-Gah!" Herieo was bumrushed suddenly, a single hollow catching him as he was completing his slide. Before a reaction could be made, he was ran into and flung across the park, sent back a good eight yards while hovering over land; The roll upon landing lasted another seven feet! He was hit pretty hard by this thing, his eyes blurry as he attempted to shake it all off. He only could make out the image of a black and white glob, growling and with its arms raised. Managing not to flinch in response to this attack, he stumbled to stand then held both glowing arms above his head. In a show of pure might, he held back the large and heavy fist of the creature. This, obviously, wasn't his own physical strength but the buffer of his spiritual power! "D-Dangit.. I forgot.. This wasn't supposed to be fun!" Ending the short phrase abruptly, he would grunt and throw his arms out on either side of his body; As they outstretched, so did the beast's fist, being ripped in half by the searing blue spiritual energy. As it howled in pain, Herieo put both hands together into one gun-shaped formation. Slowly, on his right hand's index finger, a blue orb charged with energy. In sync with Herieo closing his eyes, the ball would propel itself forward. This single attack ripped through not only the monster in front of him, but the two behind it, attempting to launch a sneak attack. A huffing Herieo was left standing with a half smile on his face, index finger smoking and shoulders rising up and down. His full image was visible once more, blood coming down from above his temple at the hairline. It'd managed to drip down to his eye, curving around and going all the way to his chin; The classic beaten up manga guy look. Turns out blood really did do that if it came from that area. Other wounds and physical alterations to his outfit included his hoodie, ripped along the center; His jeans, diced on more then just the knee caps. He, deciding it was just too much of a hassle, began to rip and pull off his jacket. Beneath it was a simple T-Shirt, also removed to reveal a slightly toned body. Scratches were abundant around the center, fresh and newly formed. His arms, now completely visible, also were quite torn up. "I bet I look so cool right now.." Commenting to himself, the weary boy raised his glowing fist once more.. Ready to take on some more of the ever-growing horde. "How ya' holdin' out Tetsuya! Got any more Sith juice left..?! Can ya' kinetically call back a light saber now..?!" Screaming towards his comrade, the boy seemed pretty beaten down from the past interactions; As he spoke, he was dodging claws and large fist, shooting out blast and punching when the range was close enough. All in all, he was holding up fine; One thing for sure was the fact he wasn't runnin' outta juice just yet!

"Hell yeah dude, we're an unstoppable fighting force of greatness! I don't know why I was so frightened earlier, now that I can throw energy bolts, well, life has become a lot less frightening! Time to whoop some other-worldly a**!" Tetsuya shouted, and it was quite obvious that he was oblivious to the increasingly dire situation, and that Herieo may be weakening. Sure, if Herieo was weakening Tetsuya could pick up his slack and start whooping a** on a cosmic scale, and that would make for the greatest story he would ever tell in his life, but there was the nagging feeling that things were getting pretty bad, and that he may not survive tonight. Still, despite that nagging feeling of impending doom and destruction, he had to admit that he didn't really care. How could he be bothered with impending doom when he was sucking the life from some evil ghost, which seemed like an oxymoron in and of itself, and using it to fire lightning-eske bolts of energy that killed other ghosts. It was a series of oxymoron's and contradictions tonight, but Tetsuya couldn't be bothered with that sort of nonsense when his life, and the life pf Herieo, was on the line. Hell, he just didn't want to admit that "feeding", as he had just named it, felt so god-damn good that he didn't want to stop. Just a punch to the white face on the otherwise pitch-black ghost-monster thing and it was pretty much instantaneous after that, instant absorption and the ability to throw down some lightning-eske blasts of blue doom. It made him feel, well, good. Powerful, wonderful, great, whatever was synonymous with awesome. Well, he was feeling pretty damn awesome until Herieo had to go and distract him with some stupid s**t, something about his gerbil or something. "What? Why would you put gerbil in your pants pocket? That's seriously irresponsible! And why are there flies on your gerbil?!" Tetsuya shouted, momentarily torn from his feeding to ask Herieo a very important question. Sure, they were surrounded by evil, soul-eating monsters that happened to be ghosts, but hey, he could always ask a question. Unfortunately, these monstrosities were not the courteous kind, and allowing Tetsuya a moment to ask a very important question seemed to be far too much to ask. With a swipe of one massive, black hand, Tetsuya was sent flying into the foliage. It was unbelievably painful, what with being thrown against a pretty large tree. That would give Tetsuya something to complain about in the morning... Well, if he managed to last that long.

A few coughs and some spitting up blood later, Tetsuya was leaning against said tree with a dribble of of blood coming from the corner of his mouth. Well, things have seriously taken a turn for the worst. Hopefully, Herieo can help me out with some insane healing powers. Hopefully. His thoughts, and hopes and dreams, were slightly damaged when Herieo asked if he had any juice left, to which Tetsya curtly replied, "No, not really. At least, I don't think so. Where are your awesome powers?" He asked, moving as quickly as he could to assist his buddy. Maybe, he thought, an idea suddenly forming in his noggin, maybe if I feed on some ghosts, I'll feel better. He figured that it was worth a shot, so he tried it. Same scenario, grab the mask and in an instant he felt a lot better. Hell, he even helped Herieo out by sending a blast at the monster he was fighting. He continued fighting, only to realize that his wounds were not healed, just pushed to the back of his mind for the moment. He didn't feel the pain again until he had expended all of the energy he had absorbed, which wasn't that much to begin with. "Hey Herieo! Do something amazing quick, I'm starting to feel real weak right here! I wanna go home already!" He shouted, his cowardly nature once again rearing its ugly head as fear gripped hold of his heart. He wasn't used to fighting ghosts like Herieo was, he was used to running like a b***h and hiding under a massive rock. That's what he wanted to do right now, run away and leave this place. He regretted coming back to Karakura, ********, the worst place to live in the entire world. Somalia had nothing on this place. As he stood there, trying his best to keep from getting chomped on, Tetsuya was pretty sure that he was going to slip up soon.

Hopefully, someone, or something, would save them form a grisly fate.

((Not really help, but ah well.))

This is the start of a young boy's story. His name is Soujirou Hitsugaya. And unfortunately, he sucks with directions. "Oh jeez. I should have known not to take this stupid shortcut. I mean, just because a place looks familiar, it doesn't mean that it is." He said, while trudging through the bushes. "These bushes are pissing me off." He mumbled to himself as he continued to try and find his way home. He couldn't really handle the fact that he had gotten himself lost in a small town, in a small park. The park that he used to play in when he was smaller, in fact. "I should know this place better than I know the back of other peoples hands by now. I mean, I've been slapped hundreds of times!" He exclaimed.

Eventually, he couldn't quite take it anymore, and kicked a bush. Yes. A bush. He needed an outlet to concentrate his anger on, and the bush just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. As he kicked it, he started to feel a little bit better....until his foot got caught in the branches. He thrashed about until he finally managed to free his foot from the grasp of the bush. "...Right, I hope no one saw that." He continued to wander through the bush, so that he could try and find a way to the street.

He kept walking, until he started to hear strange noises. He paused for a second, so that he could hear better. "Hm? Is that...roaring? What?" He asked himself. "And...there are voices. I think...two." To make sure, he closed his eyes so that he could concentrate better. "Yeah. That's right. Two voices, multiple things roaring. What's going on over there?" He shook his head side to side. "No. I'm not going to go over there." He said to himself. While he was saying that to himself though, he was walking in the direction of the sounds. "I will not go over there. I will not go over there. I will not go over there." It was no use though, he was just way too curious for his own good.

So he kept walking, all the while telling himself that he wouldn't go over there. He was heading right for the noises, even though he was saying he didn't want to. "Oh, what am I going to get myself into? He said as he touched a nearby tree. It has large gashes through its bark, like a huge claw had cut through it. That, or a small bulldozer. "...I hope it's the bulldozer." He continued to walk, as he found various signs of monsters and death. He squeezed his eyes shut as he could hear the noise right in front of him. It wasn't going to be good.

He heard a roar coming from less than ten feet away from him. He forced himself to open his eyes just in time, as he saw a large tree flying towards him. He rolled to the side, and almost broke down with laughter as he saw what it was. It wasn't a bulldozer. It was...a monster. "That explains the roaring. Now where are those voices I heard?" That's when he saw someone getting thrown into a tree, and another person shooting lightning out of their hands. "...Right. Those are the people. Is it too much to ask for this to be a bad dream?" He asked himself. But as he asked this, he knew that it was all real.

"...Never take this shortcut again." Was all he could say of the matter. He would have pissed his pants and ran away, but something was telling him to stay here and try to help the men fight. And the voice just happened to sound like his grandfather's. "Grandpa?" Soujirou asked himself. He was probably hallucinating, but he heard his grandfather say the words, "Fight, Soujirou! And don't be a disgrace to the Hitsugaya name by pissing your pants!" Soujirou smiled at those "inspirational" words, and went into a fighting stance. "Well, all or nothing." He said out loud, hopefully loud enough for the other two to hear him.

Herieo could now be seen rolling along the ground, sloshing about within a rut of wood chips. The fight, for him, had traveled to the actual 'Park' area for children. He was now surrounded, stumbling up with hazed eyes. His hand's glowing was as intense as ever, but his body had been mangled to a slight extent. He was bleeding from numerous slits, and dark bruises lined his back and some of his chest. He hadn't given up though, still fighting. "Rah!" At random, he lunged towards a monster. Upon contact, it's body was blown back; The atmosphere where he'd made contact literally distorted, so much pressure having built up and being released. Through the opening the hollow had made, a small boy was visible in the distance.. He was in some little stance, standing very close to a hollow. "D-D-Dangit! That's not Tetsuya! He's too short!" Sprinting suddenly, he traversed the horde that attempted to fill the crack, dodging swipes and rolling away when the time came. As he neared the boy, he would dive in front of him, rolling into a crouch then aiming his right hand at the beast. The limb began to glow intently for a second, Herieo changing it's shape to that of a gun. With that one hand, at such a close range, he would fire off a grapefruit sized 'Heroic Effort'. Upon making contact, the beast was covered in smoke, falling back after sliding a good five yards. It growled, not defeated fully yet. "Uhh.. Mister short person..?! This isn't a good time to come to the park. I can't blame you for thinking it'd be a good time here, cause I did bu-.. That's not the point. Um.. W-We can handle it here, me and my friend I mean. We got this under control!" With those false words, he would give a smile. Most of what he said wasn't true.. They didn't have it under control, they seriously weren't able to handle this occurrence, and they obviously weren't ok. Herieo body showed many a scars, especially with his shirt off.. He was banged up and really shouldn't have been fighting any more. Still, however, he was smiling.. Through the pain, he still kept that cute boyish smile. "I-I gotta get back to helping Tetsuya.. Hold on buddy!" Changing his expression to one of determination, the boy would sprint off from his crouched position towards the monster he'd previously wounded. Hopping towards it, Herieo would deliver a rally of heavy-based blows, his fist making loud 'Thuds' after each moment of interaction. "Fall down.. And stay down!" Herieo, after beating the mask off the monster, had landed down with it's body. He followed it's fall, down to the point where it's back made impact, crouched on it's fading body and panting. He was even more tired then before, now on his knees facing down as his shoulders rose up and down. "I hope that little guy got away.. My short energy fluctuations should be gathering most of them towards me. It may have been bad for me, but at least the kid got a chance to escape the mess.. Hopefully he took it.." Looking up through baggy eyes, Herieo groaned at the sight of a wall before him.. A wall of monsters, growling and baring there claws. Wearily he stood, struggling to raise his fist. "Heh.. I-I think my legs won't move anymore.. Odd." Speaking to himself with a calm and mellow tone, he stared on at the charging enemies..

Soujirou's jaw dropped as the hollow was blown back by some awesome technique of mightiness. "Wow." Was all that he could say. He turned to see who had done it. It was a strange man that was cut up....probably from all of the monsters in the area. He shook his head side to side, and said, "I REALLY shouldn't have come here. Sorry to disappoint you grandpa, but I still may piss my pants yet." He looked over his shoulder, and saw the other man. He wasn't in a much better shape. In fact, it looked like he was worse off than the guy that just saved him. "What have I gotten myself into?" He said to himself.

Soujirou twitched. "Mister short person? It's Hitsugaya Soujirou!" He yelled. His short outburst had attracted a few hollow to his vicinity. "Riiiight then. Screaming is a no no." He murmured. "Well, Here goes nothing!" He exclaimed. He crouched down low, to dodge the first attack from a hollow, and to get ready for an attack of his own. "Hitsugaya...KIIIICK!" He screamed as he leaped up into the air, and swung out with his right leg. It kicked the monster right in the face....and actually made it stagger. "....What?" He asked himself, as he saw the monster fall back. "Did I just do that?" He asked himself. "Well, Here goes nothing! AGAIN!" He sprinted and jumped up into the air, this time deciding to do a flying sidekick right into the monster's mask thing.

Crack! The monster's mask broke in half, showing some man's face. The monster went crazy, and ran away. "Nice~!" He exclaimed with much joy. But there were still more to go. As soon as he made that monster run away, another popped up from behind him and swiped his back. The power made him fly forward, landing in a nearby bush. He cringed from the pain, but managed to get back u. "Man, monsters are strong, aren't they?" He just said the most obvious thing he's said in his entire life.

He was about to go back to where he was, to attack that monster that swiped him, but the other two men were trapped by a horde of monsters. "s**t!" He cursed. "I can't do anything!" He yelled at himself. He squeezed his eyes shut. "I hope someone saves us!" He exclaimed as he sprinted to help the man that saved him. "Hyah!" He screamed, as he jumped up into the air and side kicked the monster closest to his savior. The monster reeled backwards, and ran away. There was still a sea of monsters to deal with.

Soujirou was kicking and flailing everywhere, trying to keep the monsters at bay, but a 12 year old can only do so much, eventually, he fell into a crouched position near the other two. He was panting heavily, and sweat was affecting his vision. "Sorry I didn't take the chance to escape." He said with a small grin. He closed his eyes, and waited for what was to come.

Before the Hollows were able to mob the people who had put up a valiant effort of trying to purify them and possibly kill them, they stopped as if feeling some sort of intense pressure wave coming towards them. The energy that came and washed over the entire area was not that of power, but rather, it was an energy that was more along the lines of compassion and forgiveness.

For the Hollows who only followed orders from beings who possessed more strength than them, the signature was a clear sign of a power that was undoubtedly higher than theirs and with that sign was a realization that the thing that possessed that power could have easily taken their lives away if it wanted to, but didn't. In fact, the energy seemed like it was inviting them to get away from the boys and come over to instead because, aside from the possible consequence of not complying would have been forceful purification, the energy it let out didn't have the feel of a powerful killing urge behind it unlike most of the things that hunted them down for being what they were.

Slowly moving away from the area towards the source of the energy, the Hollows walked, eventually forming into two, long lines that occupied the long and narrow street. The scene was just like a communion line at a mass where the parishioners would line up in the aisle between the church pews to receive their share of grace from the priest all the while repenting for their sins in their own, special way.

If one were to move forward along the line, one could see that the air to fill with radiant blue light that were like fireflies, dancing in the night. They were beautiful and it was as if they were dancing out of joy that the Hollows, who were once mindless eaters of souls, were now converted and ready for a chance at salvation. However, moving forward even further, one would see the line of Hollows merging with another line of, not Hollows, but rather, human souls that was smaller compared to the line of Hollows. One could expect a grim outcome for putting these two near each other, as Hollows usually eat human souls, but that wasn't the case here. The two merged, but remained disciplined, neither one of them reacting to another. Contrary to that, some of the human souls were even smiling and patting the gigantic limbs of the Hollows while the Hollows simply smiled back and allowed them to do so until they moved on along the line. For something to be able to do this kind of thing was a remarkable feat in itself, but to do it in such a way as with the case right now, whatever that something must surely possessed one heck of an energy level, but at the same time, a strong desire for love, peace, and unity.

"Next one, please!" a voice called out as the lines went nearer to the source and the place where there was the strongest concentration of spiritual energy particles. In the middle of it all was a young man, wearing casual Tokyo-level fashion that made him look like someone from the band, 'Arashi', or something, who was stamping the Hollows' and the souls' foreheads with the base of the sword he held. After he had done that, the Hollows and the souls which had their foreheads stamped turned into spiritual energy particles and slowly rose up to the sky towards the place where they would find a new beginning.

"Keep it in line, everyone, we have all the time in the world!" young man called out once more, and continued his job of stamping their foreheads, doing so with a big and satisfied smile on his face. It looked like he loved what he was doing.
